Another cool little record store in downtown Asheville. A nice selection of alternative reissues with a mix of hip hop, blues and rock. I was able to find a Portugal. The Man "The Satanic Satanist " and could have left with several other titles. Something different here was a fresh section of used vinyl both old and new. also a smattering of cassettes as well. Definitely worth stopping in and going through the selections.

Great record shop. A very good used section with reasonable prices. I found 2 lps quickly off my want list in VG + condition. One had a minor scuff and the owner played for me right away. Love that kind of service. But what really excited me about this shop was the new / repress selection especially in the blues and soul/ r&b many of the need to have in your collection lps like Merry Clayton - Gimme Shelter and Marvin Gaye's - What's Going On, etc. But the "I need to make a comment" moment came when I was looking through the new/repress section I stumbled across Steamhammer's - Mountains lp this is a killer heavy prog/ blues rock lp that needs to be apart of a rock'n rollers record collection. Thanks for running a great record shop - I will stop in next time I'm in Asheville.

Retro, formally of CD Swap fame, is a top notch indie music store. They carry used Vinyls, CDs,…read moreDVDs, Blu Rays, Video Games, Rock Tees, and other collectibles. One thing that really makes this place great is the owners and staff. These guys and gals have a real passion for music and are extremely knowledgable. This is rather refreshing because most corporate ran music stores have a staff that doesn't know Billie Holiday from Billy Idol. If you're looking to beef up your Vinyl collection, look no farther. They have the largest selection and best prices in Morristown. If you are reading this and have never heard anything on vinyl, I implore you to stop reading now, acquire a record player, then resume reading this review. Believe me, your ears will thank you once you have done so. Another great thing about Retro is you never know what you might find from day to day. There is always something different. I have found the occasional out of print item at a dirt cheap price that just makes my day! However, if you can't find what your looking for, they will order it for you at no extra cost. I call that a win. Support your local music store. In other words, "Damn the man, save the empire" -Empire Records

Retro did the job in about an hour and a half! I was very happy they had all the parts in stock to get my phone functional once more. They even had a new stylus for my Note that I lost last year. They saved my day!

We stumbled onto this unique bookstore and spent some time perusing their wares. Definitely has that old bookstore feel rather than an antiseptic megastore. We didn't purchase anything during out brief stop but this is the type of store we would patronize if we lived nearby. It might seem a little scrappy for some, but we support independent bookstores.

I told the man with glasses and also bald that it's s not okay to sell this. He immediately said "Why" And proceeded to tell me how they're also thinking about having Hitler's Mein Kampf in their shop. He basically forced me into a "intellectual" convo about the power of disturbance. Little does he know I actually confront nazis online everyday. I also know that the only person buying a Confederate cook book is a racist white person. You also made it very affordable for them. It was enclosed in plastic, so it could've had very violent content in it that the shop was protecting for the "right" customer. I then proceeded to tell him he had this cookbook out with no context and who is he selling this to? He listened and said thank you for the feedback. I then said you're a white man who doesn't get to have opinions about it. Dear Man, You forced me to confront your racism and affinity for kkk literature. Then proceeded to try to find a debate in it. You're not at the level of deep thought you need to be.
