    Shrimp and scallop scampi
    Kelli T.

We made reservations to sit outside for dinner and arrived on time only to be told that they are not serving food outside, only cocktails. No staffing they said. We settled in at our table by the window to order the mussels. They were flavorful in a white wine sauce served with French fries and ketchup? Never had mussels served with fries before but they call them frites? Anyway by the time we finished with the mussels, we see they are now serving food on the patio. Becoming annoyed that we specifically asked to be seated outside for dinner, we asked why we couldn't do the same. We were told they were only serving appetizers outside now. I ordered the shrimp and scallop scampi and hubby had the lobster pizza. For the prices, we should have had lobster on the pizza we could actually see and recognize. Keep in mind they put red sweet peppers on the pizza so it appears there is more lobster than there is. Needless to say, disappointed in the atmosphere and service. Prices are above what they should be. How they stay in business is a mystery to me!

Have wanted to try this place for years, but wishing I'd read reviews first. We came for lunch as that menu interested us more & we wanted to enjoy a beautiful day on the patio. Problem was - apparently, they only serve the dinner menu at noon on Sunday. Wish the website mentioned that. Our meal plan wad thwarted. Wanting a light meal, I ordered kobster bisque & a basic salad. The Bisque was "meh". Super salty - maybe from a lobster base? Disappointing from a place with Lobster in their name. Plus - the bowl didn't look much bigger rhan rhe cup. My partner's fish & chips was rather small, very heavily battered & greasy. Again, meh at best. Service was friendly & efficient, but maybe too casual. Hoodies & tights at a $$$ restaurant? Just seems inappropriate. Drinks were served in plastic. Why? So wasteful. The only thing this place has going for it is the view which is absolutely gorgeous! The only thing going here

    Shrimp appetizer

first of all if you plan on going on a Sunday, one site says they are closed but then another says they are open. we have been here plenty of times before I have never been disappointed until. While the shrimp appetizer special was delicious as well as the salmon burger, the $38.00 tiny thin piece of swordfish was highly disappointing.

We stopped in on a Friday night for our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere is great- right on the water, you get a great view of the water from almost any spot in the restaurant. We called ahead for a reservation, but you can walk-in for outdoor seating. We, of course, tried the lobster options- one boiled and one Fishermen's Style lightly baked with scallops. The traditional boil was great while the Fishermen's Style was slightly overdone. It's a great spot to stop by. The only caveat is that they can get really busy which means you could end up like us, waiting an hour for the check.

We met some friends in Bristol for dinner at the Lobster Pot. Since 1929, The Lobster Pot has provided Rhode Islanders with delicious land and sea options on their large menu. The Lobster Pot's warm and attractive atmosphere is enhanced by a gallery of fine paintings and large windows where you can enjoy beautiful water views. It's a place to dine in all seasons, whereas you can enjoy a comfortable summer lunch on the patio or warm up to a cozy fireplace on a chilly winter's day. We sat down and Kyle our waiter was very quick to introduce himself and give us some menus. We noticed this nice plate of crackers and a cheese dip on the table, so we all got some...Delicious spread...just outstanding. We all finished the two little spread containers...it was so good. This is what we got. Two pound stuffed lobster - Stuffed with lobster meat and scallops, it was done very well and a large plate. Very good. Scrod - A bit small and a bit bland, but not bad. Lobster roll sandwich - A good size sandwich with lots of lobster meat. Delicious. Burger - prepared medium as requested. It was juicy but a bit bland on the taste. Scallops - Nice dish but the sides (rice and asparagus) were tiny.....About the amount you would give a toddler....seriously....not enough. The views from the dining areas are beautiful and the service from Kyle was outstanding. A nice place to get some seafood in Bristol.

The food is delicious, and the view is spectacular. But the plastic tables and chairs out on the patio have got to go. For the price you're paying, I'd expect something a little bit nicer. That being said, the food was delicious and my sangria was very good - and super strong. It was my first time coming, but it was a great experience!

Good spot for lunch by the water in Bristol. The Interior seems to have a bit of an old tavern vibe. Got the lobster roll, burger and pasta w/clams. The lobster roll was pretty good; it had a good amount of lobster though I'm not sure it was worth 38$. Burger was unremarkable, and the bread wasn't great. Pasta was Aok too. Overall decent experience. Won't be coming back as it's pretty pricey (2 lobster rolls, a pasta dish and a burger cost 140$ w/no alcohol).

Appetizers were excellent. Service was great and the ambiance was very relaxing. Great waterway views, we found ourselves staring out at sea gulls passing by, views of a small nearby island; atmosphere was very relaxing We were seated away from the bar area and didn't notice any distractions as the bar area was fully seated. Restaurant is very spacious, food is a bit pricey but overall worth the experience. Parking lot available for customers, and restrooms appear to be maintained throughout the day.

Everyone who works there is friendly and inviting, and even gave us a cute little amuse to start the night and the buckwheat shortbread to end. Here's everything we ordered: Agnolotti stuffed with tofu ricotta, with English peas, bacon, and a savory broth (my entree, I loved this - the broth was quite salty but the peas added a lovely freshness) Fazzoletti e funghi: local blue oyster mushrooms in a white wine cream sauce ‍ (my Mom's entree, also delicious and so umami) "Ivy rose" mocktail with grapefruit, prickly pear, and limeade (delightful!) Appetizers: fried squash blossoms stuffed with tofu ricotta in pomodoro sauce, and housemade focaccia with a trio of whipped butters (thyme and shallot, Calabrian chili, and smoked sweet onion). The ratio of butter to focaccia was more than double what we could use (we ordered more focaccia to spread it on!) but both of these apps were perfect. Foglia burger: house burger patty, tomato jam, garlic aioli, lettuce, onions, pickles, onion ring, housemade focaccia, and spicy agave parsnip fries (my dad's entree and to my delight he really enjoyed it!) Dessert: a gigantic slice of tiramisu (my favorite cake!). This was a huge slab, enough to share and have some leftover for breakfast. A little on the dry side for tiramisu but still really nice. Foglia is such a gem and we had a great time in Bristol, it's a beautiful town. The restaurant is small and cozy but was not too busy when we went. I highly recommend Foglia for a special occasion!

Advertised a 5 courses - we counted seven. The evening unfolded at a perfect pace over a relaxed two-plus hours, with attentive, knowledgeable service that never felt rushed. While we're not typically focused on vegetarian cuisine, every course was thoughtful, flavorful, and satisfying. The appetizer and pasta courses were standouts--creative, beautifully executed, and memorable. The wine pairings were spot-on and complemented each dish seamlessly. Restaurants like this only survive if diners seek them out and return--so whether it's your first visit or your fifth, it's well worth it. The chef/owner was nominated for a James Beard Award a few years ago, and the talent is evident in every course. Total with tip was about $370--very fair for the quality and experience.

The drink menu was not very extensive. Our Asian salad cups appetizer tasted exactly like an Asian salad mix I've bought at the grocery store and looked like it too - I'm convinced that's exactly how they prepared this. My veggie burger had burnt edges and wasn't too enjoyable flavor-wise. It didn't help my overall impression that when I got takeout here another time, they totally butchered my boyfriend's name when we ordered over the phone, and we had a hard time picking up our order because of this (how you get "Stephanie" from "Anthony," I just really don't know). I think this place just gets lucky having a good location across from Independence Park and being close to but just out of the way from downtown. Can't say I was impressed by the food - there are too many other good options in Bristol, I just can't say I'd recommend this to others. Perhaps it's improved since I visited, but it's a pass for me based on experiences I've had.

When we first showed up, it wasn't super busy, but the place was starting to get full, and we DID have to get a reservation to ensure that we weren't waiting/to make sure we were at our next spot on time. A fun little addition to this restaurant is that they also double as an ice cream shop which would have been the PERFECT dessert for me if I wasn't so full after my dinner. The indoor seating we were put in was a high top, but it was just enough room to seat 5 people comortably. I ordered the Bayview Burger paired truffle fries (chose to upgrade from normal fries), and it was the absolute most perfect choice! I also tried the Brussel Sprouts, but I would say if you like them crispy all the way through, these were not. I also had a fun mocktail with a dragonfruit (unfortunately can't find the name of the drink, but the picture is below) to pair with my food--I will say that while it was tasty, it was pretty sweet but was the perfect pair with my Bayview Burger, which was a bit on the saltier side. The only downside to our experience is that once it did start getting pretty busy in the restaurant, the service was much much slower (which is a given with how busy it was) and we had to ask a different waiter to help us get our check and head out. Other than that, it was a wonderful choice for dinner and I would recommend this restaurant anytime!

The burger I ordered (bacon cheeseburger with no bacon) was delicious. No complaints there and I will probably reorder. The only problem here was that I asked for sweet potato fries instead of regular fries, to which the waiter simply said okay. Turns out it was an undisclosed upcharge. Not only did he not tell me it would be $2.75 (or something like that) more, but the fries are listed as the same price online. When I told him that, he said that their online menu is really old (this is to say, don't look at it! and also, not sure why they wouldn't update it if they know it's incorrect). Sure enough, the printed menu also said nothing about an upcharge for a different fry, so ultimately I was able to remove the charge, but it was a little awkward and frustrating. My only other complaint is not particularly the fault of the restaurant, but I suppose just a side effect of the laidback vibes. A group of 7 or 8 people came in like 20 minutes after us and was so loud that I almost suggested we leave. My guess is they were drunk, but it was a Wednesday night around 6:00, so I wouldn't have expected that. They were so loud that I was yelling to my friend who was within arm's length.
