This photo doesn't do it justice but definitely get the short rib quesadilla
Abigail W.

This is one of my brother & wife's favorite places to grab a bite to eat. Easy relaxed bar setting with a few tvs around. Not sure about the rest of the layout of the restaurant but I do recommend the bar area. The server was super friendly and quick. We started with the charcuterie board and the whipped ricotta was the table favorite. I went with the short rib quesadilla and it was INCREDIBLE. The grilled pineapple salsa and cilantro crema was stuffed to the brim with the most tender, tasty short rib ever. It blew me away. It was a hefty dish, but I was able to have some of It for the next day, and was still just as good. I'll certainly be back when I'm in town.

THE BREZEL

I visited the landing to have a late lunch with my wife and I walked out with a full belly and not so empty wallet. We came around 1pm and went down to the pub since the patio wasn't open yet. It was a bit dark down there but clean and there were sports in all the TVs around the pub which made for a great environment. We were greeted promptly and given our pick of a table to sit at by the hostess, there were plenty of places to choose from since it wasn't super packed. We sat down and took a look at the menu and I was very surprised at how large it was. That being said, I was slightly concerned that the food may not be that good, but boy was I wrong! We chose to get two appetizers, the brats in a blanket and the brezel with the apricot moonshine bbq ribs and a BLT that was on special for the day. Without a doubt, the food was some of the best I've had out in a while. The pub cheese that came with the brezel was delicious and not overloaded with peppers/veggies, the brats in a blanket were crispy and flavorful and the ribs were cooked so well the meat fell off the bone with ease. I can't wait to come back and try some other things from the menu next time, this was a very exciting first experience here!

"Breakfast Poutine" from the special brunch menu. Just $12!

Visited with the Polar Bear Grand Tour motorcycle group on a Sunday. Loved the special brunch menu. Had the "Breakfast Poutine." It's a clever combination of tater tots, crispy pork belly, stout gravy, chunks of mozzarella, dots of pickled jalapeños all topped by a sunny side up egg. Great flavor! Ate at the bar and the service was fast and friendly. Patrons were talkative and friendly. We ate in the pub downstairs. Would definitely recommend.

Brats in a Blanket

I came back for another visit and had the pleasure to sit outside due to the current circumstances. The outside was nicely decorated. The brats in a blanket ($9.50) and pub pickles ($9) were ordered as appetizers. The pastry was extremely crispy and the brat was cooked appropriately. The Dijon mustard that was provided was pleasant as well. The pickles were beer battered with chipotle aioli. The breading appeared to have some of that chipotle aioli present, which gave off a slight kick. Besides that, the breading was a little plain, but the aioli made up for that. I had the short rib cheesesteak for dinner ($16). It consisted of shredded short rib, caramelized onions, pepper jack cheese and garlic aioli on Texas toast. It also came with fries, but they were decent at best. They were not cooked enough. The cheesesteak was stuffed with all the fillings. The toast was very buttery and had plenty of garlic aioli while the short rib was tender and flavorful. For dessert, the pumpkin tartufo ($8) was ordered. I have never seen this before so I was very intrigued to try it. There was an almond biscotti center with whipped cream and salted caramel sauce. This was outstanding. The pumpkin ice cream combined with the chocolate shell and the almond biscotti center was a very appealing touch. The salted caramel sauce just added to the already refreshing plate.

Classic Burger and Side Caesar

First time here and was a great time! Food came out super quick! Not to mention the staff is super friendly and easy going. Nice selection of craft beers if you're into that. so many things to try- a must come back. The pub is a great vibe with tvs for the boys but great cocktails for the ladies. Had mild wings, they were ok - not too meaty but not enough crunch. The mild was pretty hot, so warning for non spicy lovers. Sandwiches were not disappointing, would give those a try!

Some might say too much time. Some might say. So I just typically avoid the area because it brings back so much...stuff. When it transitioned to Stateside sometime during the early days of the pandemic we did get take out once and it was delicious - I still dream about the Brussels sprouts. But it was a bit expensive when everyone was dying and all. Like am I really gonna risk my life for $16 sprouts? I think not. Now I think it's under new - new management. My cousin stopped by there about a month ago when she was in the area and gave it great reviews. I was feeling A Kind of Way a couple of weekends ago and just really wanted a cold beer. So me and huzzo stopped in. Service was good and beer was solid. This week I wanted another beer. Blame your president as he insists upon annihilating everyone and sending our collective pressure through the roof. We arrived about 20 minutes before the end of Happy Hour and snagged a couple of beers as well as wings and a shrimp quesadilla. The food was great but the service was the real stunner. I found myself stuck between two beers and the bartender suggested Arnold Palmering it and going halfsies on both. Fantastic decision - the mixed drink was refreshing and tart without being too pedestrian or too far afield. Food came out quickly and deliciously. Saved $15 on food prices alone during Happy Hour. Fat things: The bar stools are excellent - steel with a wide seat and a foot bar so your legs don't fall asleep. And they don't pack too many of them in so it's easy to get into and out of your seat without bumping someone else. Other stuff: They have regular indoor seating and an outdoor seating area on the side with couches, high table, and heat lamps. Overall, the space is open, airy, bright, and clean. It's pretty packed when the temps warm up but shoulder season is very nice for us right now. Be advised: Regular menu prices still seem steep - like everything else these days. But the food is good and they have a very nice craft beer selection. If you can't make happy hour and are looking to treat yourself this might be it. We'll def return!

My wife and I came to Brick Farm Tavern for my birthday dinner since we like trying someplace new…read morein the area. The setting is very nice. It has a rustic farmhouse feel (wood floors with wide boards, multiple fireplaces) but still comes across as more upscale than your typical tavern. The dining room has a warm atmosphere without being too loud, so you can actually have a conversation without shouting. We started with the seasonal pickle plate (beets, carrots, cauliflower, cucumber, fennel, olives) and the bread plate (three different breads with two different butters and olive oil). Both were a good way to kick things off. The pickled vegetables had a nice variety and the bread was fresh and paired well with the accompaniments. For our entrees, my wife went with the homemade pasta while I chose the Wagyu NY strip steak cooked medium rare with bourbon maple glazed root vegetables. The steak was cooked exactly as requested and had great flavor. The root vegetables added a nice sweetness that complemented the dish well. My wife really enjoyed her pasta and had enough to take some home. To finish the night, we had the mozzarella gelato (yes, you read that right - mozzarella), along with tea for my wife and coffee and Sambuca for me. The gelato was a unique dessert and a nice way to wrap up the meal. Our waitress Jemma was very friendly and attentive throughout the night without being overbearing. Overall, everything was very good. This is definitely a place we would return to, especially for a nice dinner out.

This was a large historic farmhouse with a menu that changes often. They source most of their food…read moreright from their farms which was cool to see. The service was very friendly, and the food came out promptly. They also provided complimentary champagne for our celebration. For appetizers, the duck bacon and vegetable fritters ($16) and hand-made potato and cheese pierogies ($19) were ordered. The fritters consisted of house cured and smoked duck breast with a whipped lemon ricotta. There were two present and each were fried perfectly. The lemon ricotta was definitely needed to pair with the salty fritter. It was a great compliment. The pierogies were of the squash variety and they came with caramelized onions and sauteed greens. There were about five or six substantial size pierogies and each sized appropriately. The squash layer really made them airy and the filling was tasty. The onions were a little too soft as there was some type of broth present. The greens were ideal though. For an entrée, I had the signature tavern burger ($38). It was a cold smoked grass-fed ground beef patty with caramelized onion, bone marrow, bacon jam, and potato wedges. I also had the gruyere and bacon added to the burger for no extra fee. When I initially ordered, I thought the bone marrow was just going to be on the burger, but I was wrong. Right next to the burger was one of bigger bone marrows I have seen. It was very good with the onions and bacon pieces. The marrow itself paired nicely with the bacon and onions. For the burger itself, I opted for it to be medium rare, and it came out perfect. There was an ideal ratio of bread to filling. The bacon jam was not too overpowerful, and the meat was seasoned well. The potato wedges which I believe were cooked in tallow were also large. They were crispy and seasoned nicely too. It was a well put together meal. I also tried the lamb being offered that night which I believe came with a lamb sausage and a shallot tzatziki. This was solid as well, but there were a number of fatty pieces I was surprised to see. For dessert, the mozzarella gelato ($12) was ordered. Yes, this had to be ordered to give it a try, and it was well received. There was not an overpowerful flavor of cheese, which I was afraid of. It did taste like mozzarella, but not overwhelming. The actual gelato was very creamy too, which I am sure helped. Will I go back? I would.

The food here is insanely fresh as was our daily interpretation involving copious use of root vegetables. In a Woodstock mood, I went for a mushroom motif inclusive of a mushroom onion soup and mushroom infused homemade cavatelli. They said that the portion sizes were not smaller because of the $65 price fix option. If you ordered the salads à la carte they arranged from $19-$22 I believe. Had I did the à la cart and received that portion for that much money I would be disappointed to say the least; my wife and I often share a salad before entrées and generally speaking they are big enough to share but their portion wasn't enough for me alone. Presentation was beautiful and service was great, as well as the ambience, and we have been there several times. We are raying a 3 because of the positives, but I did consider making it a 2.
