When I walked in no one was at the counter to take my order. After standing there for a few minutes I opened and closed the front door which has a chime letting the employee in the kitchen stick her head out in acknowledgment. Apparently if you enter through the patio door they can't hear you in the kitchen. Ordered a Thai milk tea with boba. I was actually surprised to get fresh, warm and perfectly sweetened boba. I ordered my drink at 50% sweetness since their drinks run pretty sweet. Indoor seating was impossibly cold so I set outside and got some work done in their beautiful patio. I love how it's gated and private.
Went a couple times after eating next door at Taegugki to take advantage of their discount when you show receipt. Their specialty drinks are fun and creative but very sweet and dessert-like. I personally prefer a light fruity tea so the Map of the Soul was my favorite. Though both times I've visited had very few people inside, it does look like they are very community-oriented with bulletin boards promoting lots of events and local small businesses. Love that!
Came over after a lunch at Taegukgi. If you bring your receipt, Yu get 20% off! Drinks were delicious and service was super nice! They don't have milk teas like more original boba shops, but their mix drinks are still yummy!
I've been going to the Korean Rose since it's opening! A couple of my go to milk tea flavors at Wintermelon and Honeydew. I love that they offer several alternative milks - almond, coconut, macadamia nut to name a few. I feel like it's definitely lively in the evenings and offers a nice quiet environment in the afternoons if you want to sip on something and work/study. They always have specials, you can't miss them. Like you literally can't miss them they are on a board right in your face when you walk in!!!! I always try to make an effort to stop here if I'm passing by!
I must be spoiled by the KBBQ from LA and Vegas but this place was not at all worth 43.99 per person for AYCE. I would have rather spent that at a steakhouse and not cook lol. The hostess didn't greet us and had no facial expressions, she asked how many and then said "sit down relax and I'll call you when ready", and walked away (guessing it was not her day). Joshua our server was new at serving and very sweet. He was doing his best at attending to all his tables but I think they were understaffed because it would take 8-12 min after asking for the next 4 proteins to receive them, by then our grill would be burning and our vent was not working to top it off so we got smoke inhalation each time we finished cooking. I almost asked for a fire extinguisher :-/ I knew I should have worn a shower cap cuz my hair was not having it lol. They ran out of regular shrimp and ice, so our refills weren't that cold. For an Asian restaurant, they DO NOT serve hot tea which is crazy. The sides were not appetizing except the potato salad and white rice (can't mess that up). Shrimp and chicken were not the best, but I will say the thin cut ribeye and the marinated short rib and sirloin were the only good things we enjoyed and luckily we all were able to get a ribeye each cuz I wasn't sharing that meat, nope! By the last ribeye (you only get 1 at a time) they had ran out so we didn't even get our last ribeye So for $200, my family ate white rice and a few meats. Definitely not returning
This was my first time visiting the Korean Rose, but I follow them on Instagram and one of my favorite things is that they are super community oriented. This cute boba shop is right next to a really delicious AYCE KBBQ restaurant, but they also host a myriad of community events with a focus on uplifting local small businesses and creatives. I love being able to support a business that shares the same values as me and not only do they show so much love for their community, but their drinks are good, too! Next time I stop in, I'll have to order their snacks.
I am not sure how I hadn't come here yet in the near two years they've been open, but wow! As soon as I saw that they make their coffee drinks with James, I was SOLD! I had the honey cinnamon latte with coconut milk and boba and I am OBSESSED. Our lovely worker behind the counter was so kind and patient while my aunt and I tried to figure out what in the world to order. She was available for all kinds of questions and really made this an amazing experience!
After a quick lunch, we decided to use our discounted ticket for some boba. I got the Vietnamese coffee with grass jelly. They allowed me to opt for less sugar at 50% which was just right. Although, I'll admit there was a bit too much ice. My husband's strawberry matcha was good too but I probably would try something else next time. Service was good. Drinks came out fast.
The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. Regular black iced coffee is $6.79 after tax. I tip a dollar so we're at nearly $8 which feels more like a treat to me. Other than that, the coffee is excellent. They might want to add more tables to make it feel cozy since it's pretty sparse, but since I've been there twice in the afternoon I didn't have problems finding a place to sit. Convenient location on Speedway, ample parking, fast service, friendly staff.
This boba place is right next door to Taegukgi so you can get your Lorean bbq fix and then stop by for a boba dessert. I've only been here a few times and have only tried two drinks. Matcha Maker drink is tasty, especially when you add brown sugar boba. The Korean Rose is refreshing with its butterfly pea tea and strawberry popping boba.
Popped in for a refreshing drink during my weekend in Tucson. They have a much different selection to choose from and I had a hard time deciding what to get! Settled on the Euphoria with yogurt boba. Absolutely refreshing - strawberry and citrus flavors this is part of their K-Pop series of drinks. Tasted wonderful on the hot afternoon day.
We love Korean Rose! We've been stopping at this spacious tea shop on the east side since the day they opened. The menu of drinks is so creative and yummy, and the standard milk used in the drinks is Lactaid, so it is a lactose free base for anyone sensitive to dairy! They also offer a variety of dairy and non-dairy milk options, teas, coffee, matcha, smoothies, lemonades and some decadent dessert drinks. You can customize your drink with flavored boba or jellies, too! (The Strawberry jellies are hearts and the mango jellies are stars, and rainbow jelly is also an option!) It is a really nice place for meetings during the day, getting some work done in your computer, or just spending some time out with friends or family. The tables have so much space between them it feels so comfortable inside, and the spacious patio is the same! This shop is also close to Bookman's, Mostly Books and more locally owned shops, so it makes a really enjoyable destination.
I've been to The Korean Rose a couple of times. I don't think their drinks are amazing (they use very generic boba ingredients: fruit syrup, boba pearls, different flavors of jelly), but I do think the owners are creative with the colors of the drinks and the names. The staff is always nice so I guess that makes up for the diabetes-inducing ingredients lol. I do wish the owners would look into adding more fresh fruit or healthier ingredients :) not throwing hate, because.... I get that I'm drinking boba after all. It is overall a super nice and spacious study space if that is what are looking for!
Ohhhhhh how I love popping into Korean Rose -- seriously becoming a total community staple for me. They carry warmed-up vegan pop-tart creations from local 100% vegan bakery Houldens, which are SUCH a treat, and the herbal teas can usually be modified which I really appreciate. It's cozy, cute, and always has that feel-good energy when you walk in. But honestly? The EVENTS are what make Korean Rose a must for me. I recently went to a K-pop event there with my daughter and it was SO fun -- local small vendors, Korean culture awareness, community vibes, music, and just great energy all around. Love love love this spot. read more
It's been a while since I've been here and I found myself on this side of town so was happy to take a small detour and stop by Korean Rose. I use to come here often to work or homeschool with my kids and have enjoyed it each time. I got the POG and it was yummy! Good service, nice place with lots of room, and great drinks. I've yet to eat the food outside of Houldens Pastries! read more
Came in on a Sunday afternoon and ordered a hot matcha latte. They asked for my preferred sweetness level and I requested 50%. The place wasn't very busy, yet it took about 15 minutes to receive my drink. Unfortunately, the matcha was grainy, lukewarm, bitter, and not sweetened as requested. I also noticed several customers who arrived after me waited around 10 minutes without being acknowledged, and they eventually left. To make matters worse, there was an unpleasant sewage-like smell throughout the place. Disappointing experience overall read more

This place is right next to Taegukgi, Korean Barbecue. Coming from California, we have lots of Tea places around our town. We have such a standard on how we want our teas. So far, this is the closest that we have tried to what we are looking for in tea drinks. Trust me this place is awesome! It's not a big place but they can get really busy. They cater to young clientele. They have few tables for people who wants to hang out. But most customers just come and go. Simple place with a lot to offer. read more

I am a huge fan of boba and always love supporting local shops! The Korean Rose definitely looks like the kind of place I will be spending a lot of time enjoying boba! They had a few different categories of drinks, I went with a house specialty, the Korean rose (figured it must be good!), and I was certainly not disappointed! I can't wait to come back and try some milk teas, they also had a cheesecake section that I found very exciting. They are a bit more expensive than other boba places, but I felt the size of drink was more than adequate. read more

The Korean Rose is your new boba dream! The menu has options for whatever you are in the mood for and the ability to make as many changes as you want. The drinks and satisfying and delicious, you can choose your sweetness and ice preferences, as well as your "boba" base! (They have delicious jelly bases as well!) The baristas are very helpful and knowledgeable and seem to really want you to enjoy the drink you buy! I was in the mood for something different so the barista helped me create my own boba based off of what flavors I was in the mood for and it was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is very welcoming and a great place to hang out with friends or even a great homework spot! Absolutely recommend! read more

The Korean Rose is an amazing spot for delicious tea. They also offer coffee and boba, along with snacks! I stopped by after a day of running errands to enjoy a refreshing iced white peach green tea. I love that the sweetness of the drinks are customizable (no sweetness, 25%, 50%, or 100% sweetness), as I prefer my tea unsweetened. The baristas have excellent recommendations and can accommodate their drinks to your preferences. This business is very eco-conscious, as they serve their drinks in resizable cups and have reusable drinking straw kits available for purchase! It is $6.50 and the kit includes a rainbow stainless steel boba straw that's branded with the company logo, a straw cleaning brush, and a burlap pouch in which to store it all! I will definitely be purchasing one on my next trip, when I try their boba. The seating outside is plentiful with the options of high tops or regular tables. read more

5 stars for the drinks and 4 stars for the food! The Korean Rose offers tasty boba teas and specialty drinks (all in the same standard size) as well as coffee drinks (hot and iced). Though the website says no food at this Tucson location, they have a food menu you can order from in store as well as a pastry display from a local baker. For the boba teas, you can adjust the sweetness level which I appreciate, but note that you don't have that option for the specialty drinks! I had a peach black tea with boba at 50% sweetness which was just right as I prefer not so sweet boba drinks; the boba was soft and chewy - not hard at all. My husband had one of their specialties, the POG (a passion fruit, orange, guava drink with passion fruit jelly and basil seeds) which he found really refreshing. As for food, we had the chicken tender bites which had a nice hint of sweet coconut flavor and were easy to eat and share, and also had the garlic parmesan fries which were average. Can't wait to come back to try more of their drinks! read more

Korean rose is a great place to get your boba fix! During Covid times they are only offering take out, but they do have a pretty spacious indoor and outdoor area. There is also a Korean BBQ place being built next door. Good to have food options with your boba so I'm excited for that place to open. The drinks are pretty darn good. Their signature Korean Rose drink is refreshing and a gorgeous ombré. It reminds me of a decked out Starbucks refresher. The mango slushy with added boba was also delicious. It was sweet, blended well, and the boba was really good. The pearls were perfectly chewy and sweet. Just wish there was more, especially since it costs extra and the cups are so big! My sig other had the strawberry cheesecake and really liked it. It's super rich and creamy with a slight cream cheese tang. If you want a dessert-like drink and don't know what to get, go for the cheesecake specials! They also offer plant based substitutes for some of their products, so definitely ask for those. Overall, Korean Rose has great boba and creative drinks that deliver in flavor. Be prepared to pay up though. There's only one size and the drinks are about $5-6 before adding boba. And if you want a non dairy substitute or extra add ins on top of that, you're looking at a pretty expensive beverage. For me, it's perfect for a treat, but it won't be a regular habit. read more

I like stopping by here when I want to get a fruity little drink, or when I want to get some work done. They have free internet which is helpful and it's faster than Ni Hao Tea's internet. The food here isn't bad either, it's more of a quick bite or snacks. I've had their pork belly fries and pop tart before and it's been yummy. The only thing is that the food takes a while to cook, so expect to wait a pretty minute. Overall the vibes are nice and I like the decorations! They sometimes host events here which are worth checking out. Overall would recommend! read more
First timer at The Korean Rose. I had a Vietnamese Iced Coffee and it was SO good! Usually caffeine doesn't affect me and yet a few hours later I still feel caffeine buzzed! The guy behind the counter was so friendly and gave me a discount for it being my first time there. Reasonably priced and a nice size too! Definitely recommend! read more
I happened to be on the east side today, so I finally made my first visit to The Korean Rose. I got one of their "K-POP" specials: "Map of the Soul." What an excellent drink! It's a combination of pineapple and guava white peach green tea and butterfly pea tea with lychee jelly. When it's first served, the teas and jelly are beautifully layered, and then you're meant to shake it up to mix the elements together before drinking. It was great! It's very, very sweet -- right on the edge of being too sweet without tipping over. Think of it as a refreshing post-meal dessert drink. Ditto for my friend's drink, another K-POP special called "Shmang." This one is a nutella milk tea with taro cream. It's rich, almost decadent, like a thin milkshake. We enjoyed our drinks and I definitely plan to sample more of their unique specialty drinks! read more
We finally stopped in to check out the Korean Rose. The building is nice and spacious and looks to be a great place to study or hang out. There is also plenty of seating on the front patio for people watching or catching up with friends. We tried two of the recommended teas, and we did not care for the Korean Rose tea, the brown sugar tea was ok, the boba was decent. We will stop by again and try some other beverages and see what hits the spot. read more
Saw the open sign yesterday while driving back from work. Stop by today to try. Very good service, friendly staff and clean place. Huge space and very good for hang out. Ordered 4 drinks: The jasmin milk tea & rainbow jelly taste very good. The rose blossom with regular sweetness is a bit too sweet, maybe need to order less sweet next time. Manggo slush with boba in regular sweetness is way too sweet for me, the boba is soft. Shmang taste like a very good chocolate milk. Need a trash bin at the patio. read more

A MUST VISIT!! Soft Opening: 10! Friendly staff, Clean dining, Delicious Drinks! 'Disney Dol' Whip l' caught my attention. Staff didn't lie- definitely good just like the one from Disneyland, just minus the rides and entertainment. There are many options for drinks as well as toppings. From hot to ice to blended. There were 2 different groups who were seating down with their laptops/MacBooks -- great location for students, workers, or simply to hangout! Will come again for sure. Oh and they have a membership! Earn points and convert them to store discounts. read more

First time here. I had the Thai tea with Boba, and my friend had the honey jasmine tea. Very delicious! Loved the cups! The Staff was super helpful with the menu. Our Drinks were made fast. We sat inside and they had a couple of games to play. (Wish they had more, and some of the games were missing pieces/cards, but we still made due) They also have Wi-Fi. Definitely plan to go back read more
