A Locomoco from The Kitchen Witch Cafe & Bakery.

The staff were friendly, the ambiance was nice, the Locomoco was $20 but it was really good, would definitely recommend checking it out.

A very cute place and the service was excellent. We went for breakfast and got the Eggs Benedict with cab cake and the Meat Lovers Omelet. Both tasted lovely and were filling. A fair price for a quality meal. I am looking forward coming back and trying the other items on the menu.

Cute eatery in Puna Kai Shopping Center with a simple menu. Stopped by to get breakfast. Bacon was too hard. Nothing that can't be adjusted in the back of house. The "Joe's Scramble" was scarce on the ground beef. We locals need more meat in there. Also tried the lilikoi cheesecake....does NOT taste like lilikoi at all. It has a funny sweet taste to it. HOWEVER....The staff and service was EXCELLENT...TOP NOTCH!!! Will definitely be back again to try other dishes.

Opening day

Run, don't walk to The Kitchen Witch. One of the best cozy restaurants on the Big Island. Huge menu, super-friendly owner (Dianna) and staff, and quick service. My husband had chicken and waffles for dinner and I had the poke bowl. Both were onolicious! The fresh and creamy lilikoi cheesecake was THE BEST. We will be back again!

Turkey havarti Sammie

Went for dinner on their opening day and not disappointed! We ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls and boy we really liked them a lot. Could have used a little salt on the inside but we definitely be getting them again. Husband had the short ribs and really enjoyed them. I had the turkey and havarti sandwich and it was amazing. Huge portion, fresh bread. Only ate half and brought the other half home. The fries!!! Fried perfectly! Salted. So good. We look forward to going back and trying some more selections.

Raw chicken

Avoid! Chicken was raw and the rest of the food was just plain not good (eggs Benedict and Buddha bowl) the service was slow despite being very slow and when the manager came out to see the raw chicken, she was not friendly and reluctant to make it right. Despite the poor experience, I am grateful for the reminder why I usually eat at home

Raw bloody chicken and waffles. Waiter said she could give us %10 off. The dish was not edible. Zero star review

Joe's Scramble & hashbrowns.

Delicious food, friendly staff, comfortable seating. I've had the roast beef sliders and the cauldron burger. Both were excellent.

Stayed in HPP earlier this year for a month and went to the Burger Bus several times during that…read morespan. It does take a minute to get your food, I chatted with the guy from the $25 haircuts van for a while as I waited on one occasion. Shout out to haircut guy, you a real one, hope your lady's doing better with her choices in her life. Anyway the burgers were awesome every time I went. People who complain about the wait, slow down a little, it's like one guy in there busting ass as best he can. The price is a little expensive but the burgers are so good, I did not feel burgers or fries are too small, and I didn't feel it was out of line with other small business prices. This is not McDonalds buying 10 billion beefs at discount. Burgers are deliciously reminiscent of In-N-Out burgers, but the fries at the Bus are better because In-N-Out fries notoriously suck. Sometimes the bus is closed when you weren't expecting but lol it's Puna that's how things are sometimes! I love you Burger Bus. Still thinking about you 7 months later. E hoʻi mai ana au.

Just remember, anything worth having, is worth waiting for. So, the food did take some time, but that was no worry for us. In a world where everything is fast pace we could all use some slowing down. Besides, if you're vacationing here, which we are, then there really is no reason to rush. We enjoyed family time while we waited. And worth the wait it was!! If you want a delicious, juicey burger, then stop here!
