Food is great, and the service was AMAZING! The restaurant was a nice cozy environment and the food almost reminded me of my late Granny's cooking. If you're looking for take-out, you may want order from somewhere else. 20% gratuity is automatically added. Went to pick up my food and the order was put in wrong so I had to wait, not that it was a problem, but catfish sliders seemed thrown together on cold buns and little to no tarter sauce, so food was very dry. Tortilla chips were not fresh, and food is extremely overpriced for the quantity and quality, especially the truffle garlic potato wedges. A dine-in experience may be better with this restaurant. read more

Always enjoyed this restaurant when it was Vinegar Jim's. This was our first visit under the new format. Really hadn't changed much from VG's. (Still using Mason jars for drinks...really?) We ordered the Burnt ends and cheese plate and it came out within 2 minutes. Not much longer from when our wine was set down in front of us. The meat was good to a point. There was quite a bit of fat and that rendered the meat soggy. I ordered the Caesar Salad with fried chicken. The chicken was hot and good but the salad was so salty (too much parmesan maybe) I could not eat it. I explained this to out waitress and she said she'd have another one made but decided against it. I had to drink so much water that I lost my appetite. I am very disappointed that no consolation was offered to me for the problem. I also know that in this day and age, you don't know what to expect. But it is quite disgusting to have you waitress with three rings in her nose and tats. She was sweet enough but why doesn't the owner police this a little. Will I go back? Don't know. Everybody deserves a second chance but it will be while. And by the way...my wife and I had slacks and nice tops on. The majority of the clientele was in shorts and tank tops. So don't bother getting too dressed up. read more

Great food, got the southern poutine and hot chicken sliders. Highly recommend those. Waitress was very sweet and I love the cozy atmosphere. My only thing is that the tortilla chips are really off putting, none of us ate ours and it just felt so wasteful! We also got the side of cornbread and for seven dollars you only get 2 that are cold and you have to ask for the honey butter because it's apparently only given with the appetizer version. I'm excited to return and I hope in the future those plain tortilla chips will get kicked to the curb! read more

The food is good but the sides do not complete the meal for the price. The crawfish roll came with plain tortilla chips and the lasagna comes with no bread or no salad option or offer. The space is cramped and feels like you are eating on top of each other. Hopefully they will expand outside to provide more eating space. read more

I do want to start off by sailing that the aesthetics were nice. Cute place. Had a nice charm to it. Food was ok. Wasn't very many option on the menu. Ordered the corn bread. You could definitely tell it was re heated. Was squishy. The honey butter that went with it really was not good. It kinda tasted off. Also ordered the burnt ends. Those weren't bad. They came with the typical cheese squares, picked and jalapeños that you get at most restaurants. Was kind of disappointed. I ordered the chicken breast and my wife orders the chicken sliders. I subbed out a side for the broccolini. The broccolini was very tough. And the potato wedges were dry. Tasted like the frozen kind. I could be wrong though. I also want a big fan of the glaze that was on the chicken. Took a while for someone to come to get our drink orders. The waitress was nice but not very knowledgeable about the food. When I asked her what a few of the sauces were she said she didn't know and asked me if if I would like her to go find out. For a water, a coke, corn bread, burn ends chicken breast and chicken slider with tip was $70. Honestly we probably won't be going back. $70 for two people is kinda pricey for what you get. read more

Experience was just ok. We sat down, ordered, 15 seconds later, our burnt ends came out, which were not crispy at all. They had the look of burnt ends but the texture of soggy meat. We ordered the smoked meatloaf - it tasted ok but I never got any smokey notes. The shrimp & grits were good but the shrimp was way over seasoned. We went for lunch while we were in town over Christmas. We had a great experience! Service was excellent, and the food was so good! I am still craving the crawfish lasagna. We ordered the crawfish roll and the debris samich. The $17 crawfish roll was supposed to be on a brioche hoagie, but was served in a hot dog bun. The debris samich was supposed to have caramelized onions, but didn't have any, only burnt meat. The au jus was supposed to be on the side for dipping. However, the bread was beyond soggy without me even using any au jus to it. The wet bread literally fell apart and meat went everywhere when I first picked it up. This was my first time eating from here and sadly, I am not impressed. Someone should be doing a quality check before anything leaves the kitchen & they clearly aren't. I'm pretty upset I wasted $40 on those 2 sandwiches. read more

Experience was ok. Service was good, greeted as we walked in and sat quickly. I thought food was just ok for pricing. Three very small cornbread muffins for $10. We got the burnt ends plate, and all enjoyed that. I got the wedge salad and the pepper on it was overwhelming. And a quick note for the owners, we sat near the kitchen and could hear the vulgar rap music throughout our entire meal. I also heard a couple employees talking about a table being "rude" after said table had left. I know they are young, but that's not ok. We love supporting local, and with a little adjusting, I think this place will be a nice spot. read more

During a recent trip to Memphis we had the most amazing meal at The Kitchen Table! From the moment we walked in the door we were treated to sensory delight. Stopped here for lunch on a very recent, lazy Saturday afternoon because we did not want fast food or chain and this place looked fresh and comforting. We had the Frickle Spears, which is just that, fried dill pickle spears, they were very good but could use more breading to offset the tartness. The TKT burger was cooked to perfection and the flavor was awesome with the bacon, cheese, tomato and brioche bun. The Debris Sandwich was suppose to be a braised beef sandwich with cheese and caramelized onions but it was a tiny bit disappointing, very salty, meat seemed to have been soaked in broth? It was still a different kind of sandwich and I did consume the entire sandwich so it couldn't have been that bad, huh? I would suggest they put condiments on the table when they serve things like truffle potato wedges, good but are still french fries that need ketchup! Lunch with 2 iced tea was $52.00 without tip so won't be a regular meal out, but glad we tried it. On a sweet note - they have hand spun cotton candy for dessert! They are new and still readjusting things, but Brad and Alicia are super sweet and genuinely working their hardest and it shows. They remodeled the building beautifully. The drinks were ordered, and we waited. Workers carried on talking at the bar. We were approached 2 more times to order food, but still no drinks and workers didn't get to work until my wife asked for her drink again. Sorry, but a $12 drink should come lickety split. The wife liked her catfish. I ordered the pork chop, and I should have known it would be messed up when the waitress asked how I wanted it done. I didn't know how to answer, and asked her to clarify. She said "medium or well?" I said cooked, but my dryness may not have delivered well. The pork chop was delivered very dry though. I got tired of chewing on it and took it home for the dogs. When cutting the meat from the bone, i noticed it was red and uncooked on one side. While we were there i did want to try a dessert, but all the lead up turned me away from spending more time or money here. I think tighter management and training would solve these issues. read more
