Steve, we can't thank you enough for catching the major problems with the beam, post connections, etc. You saw in just a few short minutes what the architect, CAD man, engineer, City, two contractors missed! We are so pleased that you caught this before we starting construction. Our draftsman and engineer are changing the plans to take back to the City for approval. This past year, you have been so very helpful giving us valuable support and assistance way beyond just your cabinet portion of the job. We sure appreciate a quality person like you helping us have more confidence in our home & kitchen remodel. - Mel & Michelle P read more

Early on in our kitchen remodel we had chosen Omega cabinets which led us to Colin and the KDC. Colin was extremely helpful with all the in's and out's of the various choices we needed to make for just the right cabinets for our kitchen. As you can see they are beautiful. In addition, Colin was in valuable in helping us with our layout and the various cabinet options - like setting up the magic triangle, cabinet / toe kick lighting cabinet hardware. When it came to installation he and his crew were fast, efficient and left the work site clean which was not our experience with our contractors crew. We couldn't be more please with Colin and the Kitchen Design Center. We are already working with him another phase. read more

Astounding talent and professionalism! Designer and project manager, Colin Evans turned my dream kitchen into reality. The crew were all perfectionists and respectful. This has been my only good experience so far with any type of construction and contractors. I waited over ten years to finally have my kitchen remodel and it was all worth it due to KDC. read more

Fabulous little cabinet shop! I was really surprised by what I saw and learned about kitchen cabinets here at The Kitchen Design Center. They sell some mass manufactured products, like Dynasty and Omega, but, what is really cool is that they actually can make cabinets for you. The proprietors are intelligent and unbelievably helpful. If you are looking for a new mantle, new cabinets, new kitchen designs, new entertainment center built in cabinets, or anything like that, add this shop to your list of places to visit. My highest recommendation! They are across from Lowe's on Beach Blvd at about Imperial in La Habra. They service all of the surrounding areas from Whittier to Brea to Huntington Beach and are happy to really personalize projects. Steve Quinn has the right licenses to make projects come out as planned. I am impressed. read more

Went there beautiful showroom, wanted to set up consultation and Colin said we don t do in home consultations bring measurements and pictures. Really? Their reviews said in home consultation. I guess only if they want u as a customer. And I was looking for a high quality kitchen, I ll go somewhere else where they want your business. They get a zero in service. read more

Thank you so much Steve. I agonize over things so much that it was a total surprise when I let you show me what you had come up with for my kitchen, and then with a little combined tweaking we came up with the final layout so quickly. It's not unusual for me to have doubts later or buyers remorse which is one of the reasons usually it can take me awhile to make that final yes decision, but you had me on board from the beginning and immediately when things were ordered I was totally excited about our plans. Its very exciting when things start coming together not to mention just a little scary in the unfinished process, I still remember you reassuring me with "Don't doubt the grout" when I was worried about my choice in tile but you were totally right everything came together at the end. I am super delighted with the finished product. I hated going in my kitchen before. I love being in there now. I still prefer watching people cook than actually doing it myself though:-)) but what a lovely atmosphere to be in. read more

I am an Interior Architect, I have worked with Steve on many projects. He pays attention to detail and takes the time and effort to make my vision come to life. What's so great about the Kitchen Design Center is that it's owner, Steve Quinn, is a licensed contractor who knows his stuff. Not only does he craft beautiful kitchens with function and form, but he's a wiz at all things construction. On an inspection for my house for some prospective cabinet work, I noted to Steve that I had a leak under my foundation, and that a plumber told me I'd have to rip up my patio and run a new line to the street to the tune of about $1400. That's not even what he was there for, but Steve was able to diagnose and fix the problem within a few minutes saving me a headache and a lot of money. He's built beautiful water front homes in Huntington Harbor, and you could could trust him with your kitchen remodel. Unlike many contractors, he's fastidious about being on time and on budget. I highly recommend Steve Quinn, The Kitchen Design Center and Quinn Building Construction. Steve Bush, M.B.A., CA RE Broker read more

We can't say enough nice things about Kitchen Design Center in La Habra, Ca. Thank you for a job well done! If you're reading this, you're probably considering a kitchen remodel. Now is a good time for you to do it, let Colin at Kitchen Design Center get you started. Here's why: We love our new kitchen! Everything, and I mean everything was taken care of. From Day One, it was the best experience... the owner, Steve Quinn, came to our home to review the kitchen space, review our ideas and possibilties, and to assure we had the right contractor for the job! Colin took the reins after that. He said, "I'm on your side." and he certainly was! and he proved it, all the way to the finished, beautiful remodel. He was physically present at all check points to make sure all was well, and we were pleased and happy. Who could ask for anything more? We wanted our new cabinets and new kitchen island, to blend in with the subtle colors of the marble tile flooring we had, and wanted to keep. Colin brought over two samples, (BeachHouse and Colonade), as we needed to go from dark cabinets to light. Immediately, we were in! Those first two colors are what we went with. Fun, and easy to work with, that's what we say to you regarding Kitchen Design Center. Kudos to their "hands on" work force; Larry, Sergio, Bubble Boy, Ken, Richard, Matt, Jairo, Diego..and the great list goes on, any name we left out..we are talking about you too, Can't thank you enough! There is a beautiful combination of rustic and comtemporary in my kitchen now, that's what we have, and it's gorgeous. What a terrific experience! So, you know you need a new kitchen, give Kitchen Design Center a call today, 714-575-9291, ask for Colin, and tell him "Mary Ann sent Ya". Jim and Mary Ann Stonich read more

The Kitchen Design Center originally remodeled my kitchen in 2010. When I was looking to get it remodeled, most companies wanted about 50-60k to remodel, since I wanted a wall removed, etc. I always drove by KDC, but thought they would be expensive since they actually have a showroom near Beach Blvd/Imperial Hwy that you can go into and check out different designs. Their price was actually $10k LESS than the 6 other quotes I had! My wife and I could not have been happier with the finished product. Colin was patient with my design changes and Steve (the owner) was on the job making sure everything turned out perfect. Whenever people come to my house, I always get the "Your kitchen looks so good" comments...I was very nervous about spending that much money, but it was the best investment I have made to my home. The reason that I am writing now is because of what they did 6 years AFTER they did the install. I had a broken hinge on one of the cabinet doors (kids were leaning on the door and it broke). I called the KDC to BUY the replacement hinge so I could fix it myself. Steve and Colin would not let me buy it...THEY CAME TO MY HOME, INSTALLED THE HINGE AND TUNED UP ALL OF MY CABINET DOORS AT NO CHARGE! The best part was that I had another door that (somebody's) kids basically hung on and bent the hinges so it would not close all the way. After Colin returned to work from fixing my original broken hinge and tuning up the cabinets, he called me to inform me that he was going to stop by AGAIN later that day to replace the other 2 hinges on the door that would not close completely. THAT is customer service! Besides the great quality of their work and product AND that they were by far the lowest price, I highly recommend this company. They stand behind their work. It does not hurt that they are also good people as well. I am not a paid spokesperson, just a satisfied customer...lol read more

We would like to thank Bonny and the crew at The Kitchen Design Center for their work on our new kitchen. Everyone was a complete professional who took pride in their work. There were no horror stories about contractors/workers disappearing for days on end. Things moved along a steady pace, even with unexpected complications. The completed project was just what we were looking for. The experience was as pleasant as the endeavors can be. Thanks again, Bob and Kim Jordan read more

We are first time re-modelers and I can not express enough how much Kitchen Design Center helped us through our recent kitchen/bath remodel. Steve Quinn and his whole team understood our needs and clearly wanted to make sure that the project was a success for us. From the design phase through completion, their commitment to keeping us up to date on the project and where the potential issues could arise made the experience less stressful. From a design perspective we were very pleased with the multiple options that were given to us. From keeping the same footprint to gutting the entire kitchen and adjoining guest bathroom (which we did) the layouts were in line with our requirements (functionality and cost). The designer was excellent in guiding us through tile selection not only in terms of color but also our desired look. Steve opened our eyes to the 'potential' and we are very happy with the result. We will soon start our second phase (second bathroom) and based on our experiences during the first phase we know that we will be satisfied with the end result. read more

If I could give a zero stars, I would. I recently bought a new house and want to do a moderate kitchen renovation, including a new island and countertops. I first reached out by email, described my project and received return emails from Bonnie about my project. She didn't follow through on a design or estimate, so I went to the store to see if we could work on my project in person. She was deceivingly receptive, gave me some ideas, and agreed to email a design and estimate. That was 4 weeks ago and I still haven't received anything. Terrible customer service, totally unprofessional and a huge waste of my time. If the project is too small for you, just say it up front. And when I'm ready to move on future projects, guess what, I'll spend my money elsewhere. read more

It was a great experience working with Steve at the Kitchen Design Center. Steve and Ling were so helpful coming up with a design for our kitchen. One of my pet peeves are people who tell you it can't be done. Steve is the opposite of that. He listened carefully to my ideas, included me on the decision-making, problem-solved to implement my ideas, and delivered an absolutely fabulous product. I'm so pleased with his service and with my new pantry. read more

I can't say enough about Quinn Building Construction for their excellent work and meticulous attention to detail. The company also custom make cabinets by Steve Quinn, the owner. They design kitchens at their La Habra office, The Kitchen Design Center. They offer Omega kitchen cabinets, which we chose because of cost and the quality of the cabinetry. I had already interviewed and gotten bids from several construction companies as well as reviewed Yelp feedback on them. I asked to speak to several of Quinn's prior clients to help me in my hiring decision. They all spoke glowingly of their remodel. One prior client said that her fully remodeled kitchen was still performing beautifully after 5 years, in contrast to some friends' remodeled kitchens done by other contractors which initially seemed to be well built, but over time did not hold up very well. Another former client with construction experience also spoke of how knowledgeable Steve Quinn, was on construction. They all spoke very highly of Colin Evans, one of their designers, with whom they worked with. Everything these clients said about Quinn's held true in our remodeling project. We extensively remodeled about 2/3 of our house, and completely remodeled the kitchen and kitchen bathroom. Colin was our designer and he is a great person to work with. He quickly understood my kitchen needs, and was extremely creative on design. He recommended eliminating the large kitchen peninsula we had as well as the upper cabinets above the peninsula that made it a dark kitchen, and replacing it with an island. This allowed us to have a light filled kitchen, more space to walk around the kitchen, as well as extra cabinets and large pull out drawers (get as many as you can!). Colin guided me through the many, many choices I had to make, and gave me great advice, e.g. using an eased and mitered straight edge for the granite countertops to make them contemporary. He suggested changing the angle of the herringbone design I wanted above the cooktop by 90 degrees to make it more modern; that was really a great improvement. He proposed a contemporary travertine fireplace in the living room to replace the cracked traditional fireplace. That change created a stunning focal point to the room. We had a problem with the floor plan of the kitchen which constrained us to place the breakfast table and chairs close to the French doors. This forced us to only partially open the left door, which had the active door handle, so as to not hit the table or chairs. Colin proposed we switch the active door handle to the right door, and putting the inactive (dummy door handle) on the left door. This was a great solution because it allowed us to fully open the right door freely to go outside without having to hit any furniture. This seems like such a simple idea, yet we and the handymen who've worked on our house over many years, never came up with it. We had all the acoustical (popcorn) ceilings removed. Colin improved the ceilings further by getting rid of the different ceiling heights in the kitchen and kitchen hallway of our 1969 ranch home so that they'd appear taller in height. We opted for smooth ceilings and walls throughout all the rooms instead of textured orange peel or knockdown. Our walls and ceilings were quite uneven, and the work crew spent a great deal of time meticulously evening them out so that when painted, the surfaces would be smooth. We loved the results. We replaced all the carpet with porcelain tile and replaced all the windows. We added several new French doors, new crown, base, and door moldings, and recessed lighting. All the work crews for demolition, electrical, tile, plumbing, carpentry, granite, paint, etc. have long and established relationships of over ten years with Quinn's company. They were clearly specialized in doing quality custom work and paid careful attention to detail. They were also very neat and cleaned up daily before they left the house. Colin was the foreman, supervising the different crews throughout the project. He was always accessible by phone to prepare us for each stage of the remodel, especially since we lived in the house during the remodel, and I was in touch with him almost daily to discuss the progress. We love the changes from our dark and 1960s ranch style home to our new contemporary and light filled house. We have gotten many compliments from family and friends who are amazed at the transformation in our home. I have already highly recommended Quinn Building Construction to my friends for their custom quality remodeling. We will definitely use them again for the next remodeling project of our bedrooms and bathrooms. read more
