I ordered bibimbap (rice bowl with vegetables and meat), tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), and a side of kimchi from here off a food delivery service and it was just ok. The bibimbap was the best thing I got from here with plenty of vegetables, a decent amount of beef, and they even included gochujang (spicy pepper paste) although it would've been nice if they included sesame oil. The tteokbokki and side of kimchi was extremely salty, enough so that I didn't even finish either of them and the portions were small too. On that note, for the price I paid, I expected a healthier portion of tteokbokki even though I didn't finish it. Overall, the food was ok; good enough for me to eat most of but probably would not go back considering there are other options. read more

Man oh man do I have mixed feelings about this place. It does give off authentic vibes; however I couldn't help but feel the food was not fresh and not good. I ordered the Spicy Calamari Kimbap, to which the workers passed me a box that had been sitting out. Whenever I went to pick up a piece with my chopsticks, the pieces would break and crumble apart from how soggy it was. Which to me, speaks to how long it had been sitting out. The kimchi that came with our meal, was so darn SALTY. It tasted like straight fish sauce and the kimchi was not fermented in the slightest. The Tteobokki was also EXTREMELY SALTY, the Spicy Pork Belly Dupap was also EXTREMELY SALTY. I was honestly gobsmacked. I thought to myself, how could the chef not realize how salty the food is? Is no one tasting the food? I stuck to the Calamari Kimpap and Dumplings since they were the only dishes that were not over done on the salt. My partner finished the rest of the food bc he felt bad and didn't want to say anything. after the meal, he and I ended up chugging my water bottle when we got back into our car. Seeing as this place was highly rated, it was definitely a let down. However, there's lots of room for improvement. If the food was less salty, it would automatically be so much better. The food came out quickly. The flavors were delicious (5-star)The pork belly was sliced up, so that was bite-size each order that we had of the bibimbap the Bulgogi and the pork belly was on its own separate bowl on a bed of rice. The bibimbap sauce came in a squirt bottle, which made it easy to be able to add more as you desired. The dishes came with a tiny man of kimchi. You could buy more kimchi, but wasn't something that we did. The Entrance this location doesn't face the road so you have to enter in like you're going towards the crawfish restaurant or next to the McDonald's The parking lot can be a little bit tight as it shares it with the other retail stores and the McDonald's behind it and other restaurants/ shops on the other side. The staff was friendly and smiling, although we did have an issue with the kiosk. The owner came out and was able to help us, and unfortunately, we had to go order from the person standing at the main terminal. Really enjoyed the atmosphere as they had K-pop playing in the background and also the overall vibe felt like a Korean convenience store. Would recommend and look forward to going back. read more

Pickup was quick, and food was ready in the timeframe quoted on the phone. The food was delicious. Flavors did not disappoint. Personally I would have like a bit more meat in the Bibimbap, but it doesn't take away from the fact that it was an enjoyable meal. Inside there are a few seated area, and it was clean. This restaurant is a small little place with an open kitchen concept. There are few tables available for indoor seating, but most of their food is grab-and-go anyways. I got the bulgogi kimbap which was alright--I do wish it was spicy and it only tasted sweet. I also tried the spicy pork belly kimbap which was much better. It had a greater flavor profile and the spice was just right. We also tried the kimchi fried rice, which was good and the rice was almost creamy in texture. The egg was nicely fried and crispy. Our orders came with complimentary kimchi--which I wish was cold. My favorite part of our order was the red bean fish waffle. Went in on a lunch time on a weekday, a little busy, you can either order from the kiosk right when you walk in on the left or order up front with the cashier! I spent $33 not Including tip Service was super nice and they greet you from behind this glass panels where they cook so you may not see them but everything smells so good! The spicy pork dupbap: absolutely delicious and spicy not overwhelming spicy, I would have added a fried egg! My only complaint which isn't much is that there isn't enough rice, there's a ton of meat and psh I'll never complain about that Kimbap: I ate most of the shrimp and wow made to order absolutely phenomenal. Crispy, flavorful, refreshing, something you can eat and not feel super bloated after but feel full! For $10 amazing lunch in this economy and you're supporting a small business Restroom is one stall for whoever needs it and it's clean! I am really surprised on how amazing this food was I will 100000% come back and support this small business sure it's in a weird spot in spring next to a sports bar but do not miss out. I love Korean food but this place lacks authenticity and flavor. My favorite Korean dish is Bulgogi and this place had the worst bulgogi I've ever had. The flavor was not there and the beef they used was a wrong cut.. almost like as if they gave me Philly cheesesteak meat, added mushrooms and put it in a bowl with sticky rice. Sticky rice was the other issue as this dish is not suppose to be served with sticky rice that they use for their sushi rolls. Huge disappointment with their food. I can make it better at home myself and I'm not even Korean. read more

This is one of those tiny gems you'll be glad you stumbled upon :) It's far from fancy: expect a no-frills, very clean dining room the size of my walk-in closet with maybe 4 small tables. Plasticware, plastic containers, and plastic trays abound, which makes for easy packaging of your leftovers (just snap on the lid!) That said,, for the most part, the food was outstanding! The Spicy Pork Belly Rice Bowl was bursting with Korean spice, and the dish was generous and incredibly satisfying. My sister ordered several dishes for everyone to try, including the Tteok-Bok-Ki, Kimchi Fried Rice, Fish Cake Soup, and Seafood Pancake. We all raved about all of it except one... the soup was a tad under-seasoned, particularly when compared to everything else which boasted such colorful flavors. Also, we were surprisingly disappointed with the kimchi! I like mine on the tart/sour side. Perhaps that's just a preference thing. We'll be back. This is the type of food you CRAVE. read more

We had the bulgogi rice bowl, I thought I was getting a kimbap with bulgogi; the pork belly rice bowl - the non-spicy ended up being spicy and it was too much. There was jalapenos and a sauce that was not supposed to be spicy but it really was, you could smell it. It's a small restaurant but the food is packed as if it was to go which was still good.i would recommend to try. We ate here today and we were highly impressed!! When you walk in you can place your order on a tablet. We got our food to go. They cooked it all fresh while we waited. It took maybe 7 minutes. We had the spicy pork belly kimbap, pork dumplings, and bulgogi rice bowl. It was all super delicious. The dumplings were to die for. I'm a huge dumpling fan, the bulgogi and kimbap nice and spicy with some sweetness. The kimchi was also super flavorful. Living in the Woodlands area, it gets a bit hard to find a wide variety of Asian cuisine. Normally I'd have to travel to Bellaire or Katy to get some good quality Asian food, but The Kimbap is a hidden gem that spares me from taking an hour drive to some GOOD Korean food. Located on Rayford, this spot is quite easy to miss but its nudged right in between a plaza of a restaurant, nail/lash shop, and vape store (if you see the McDonalds, its the parking lot over.) This spot is absolutely clean, it has that new shop smell to it! There isn't a large seating area; with there being 3 tables that can sit up to 4 people, about 4 stools against the bar/kitchen area, and a mini table that holds 2 people. So if you're thinking of bringing the entire family for a sit down meal, maybe this would'nt be the best spot! You can order at the counter, however the second you walk in, to the left there's 2 tablets that you also can order on (this can be for dine in OR to-go.), so I personally felt a bit pressured to use the tablets although I wanted to go up to the register to look around. Nonetheless, either way of ordering works. On the tablet it has the entire menu and it even includes pictures of every menu item which is an amazing perk if you're a visual person such as myself. I ordered the Spicy Pork Belly Dupbap which is essentially just a chili oil rice bowl with a generous amount of pork belly chunks and stir fried vegetables. This bowl was delicious, however it just didn't live up to the "spicy" as told in its name. If a bit more chili oil were added to the bowl, then this menu item would be perfect! The bowl came with a small complimentary side of kimchi, but personally this was probably my least favorite kimchi that I've ever tried. It didn't seem to have much flavor; lacking that traditional sour and tangy kimchi taste! Nonetheless, I still ate the kimchi! I only took a star off because 1) the lack of spice for the bowl I ate & 2) You'd think they don't serve drinks if you order at the tablet like I did, but after you order on the tablet you have to go to the front register to order a drink. I just feel that's a minor hassel. Either way, I'll still be back to try new items here as there's even a snack section and pre-made food area! read more

Ordered through Uber eats. Spicy pork belly dupbap and fish shaped waffle. I mentioned that I am allergic to nuts. After the order was placed, they called to let me know that what I ordered (fish waffle filled with chocolate) has tree nuts in it. I tried to cancel that part of the order but I guess it wasn't possible through the app. If I tried to cancel the full order I would be charged around $25 (wtf). After calling them and telling them about my issue, they tried to change my order to something of an equal price. It was a drink. Didn't want that so I said I could just take and maybe give it to someone. They said ok and then minutes later when my order arrived I saw that there was no fish cake. I called and told them what happened and they said they didn't want to risk it and they tried to give me a different item but I refused. So now I just have my pork belly dupbap with a fried egg on top like I ordered. But wait there was no fried egg. So I lost 6 dollars for the fish shaped waffle and the 2 dollars for the fried egg on top of my meal. I mean it tastes good. Food wasn't that bad but their service was. If they included the fact that the waffle batter has nuts in it in the uber eats menu, I wouldn't have ordered it. They did the best they could but they need some improvements. They need to double check what I ordered so nothing goes missing. But it's not all their fault. Uber Eats sucks too. They need to give users the ability to cancel an item from their order after it was placed and have it updated for all parties to see. If they had that already then damn I wasn't looking.
