WOW!!! this place is amazing! I was thoroughly surprised by how good the chicken was. It is the best on this side of town! The staff was so friendly and sweet. I appreciated the service and the nice ambience in the place. They have beautiful artwork, including my favorite... Butterflies. I cannot wait to patronize this establishment again!

Food is authentic Korean. I love the mother and son duo, they're funny, kind, and want to make sure your experience is enjoyable. This place is a vibe!!! They had the houston artist jams on which had me dancing while eating. I enjoyed this place, the vibes, the food, and the people. We ordered the sweet and spicy k hot chicken wings which were our fav. The loaded OG kimchi fries, and an order of veggie spring rolls. Will be visiting this place again soon to try the Japchae and bulgogi.

About to finish my bulgogi. Yum yum

Amazing food - unbelievable price. Get a soda for free with your menu makes the tasty food more than affordable. My favorite is the k plate spicy bulgogi. Try it. Will not be disappointed.

I want to set expectations, this is not a fine dining restaurant. Simple Korean style fast food. Large portions for decent price. Tastes great for the value. If you are tired of trying the same thing from every asian restaurant in Houston, you will be happy that you tried something new. Service is excellent. The owner in the front is friendly and conversational. This is a local/family owned establishment.

I had the spicy seafood soup with fresh noodles, and it was spectacular. The noodles were cooked perfectly and soaked up all that incredible broth. The mix of shrimp, mussels, and squid made it feel hearty and well-balanced. I also tried my friend's beef short rib soup, which was just as delicious, definitely ordering that next time. The banchan really impressed me too. The kimchi had the perfect crunch and might be some of the best I've had. The fish cakes and scallions were also on point. The space is small but great for lunch or a casual dinner. Service was friendly, restrooms were clean, and overall it was a great experience. I'll definitely be back.

The good was generally good (see below). The side dishes were a disappointment (especially the kimchi). We had: Broiled Spicy Beef Rib (Galbijim) - (5/5) - Very flavorful. Good quality beef with good mix of squash and vegetables. The sauce is very good. My wife had this dish better and said it was too spicy so we asked for it a bit milder. Even with this, it still had a kick. Very good dish. Tteokbokgi (spicy rice cakes) - (4/5) - Good version of this traditional Korean dish. Sauce was yummy, but a bit too watery. Bibimnangmyun (spicy noodles) - (2.5/5) - The miss of the night. The noodles had a weird aftertaste (kind of smelled a bit like paint to me). My wife said they did a poor job rinsing the noodles. I would not order this again. There are other things I want to try on the menu so will likely be back. I do wish the banchan (side dishes) were better.

It is sweet and a bit soupy from all the sauce. The noodles are chewy and bouncy, and get coated in the sauce nicely. There is a good amount of meat that comes with it too! The flavors are great. 2) Jaengbanjjajang: This is my go-to and personal favorite noodle dish to get here. It is similar to their original jjangmyeon except that it is less soupy and has a bit of spice. The spiciness adds a nice kick balancing the sweet and savory flavors. There are also lots of different mix ins like squid, shrimp, beef, and vegetables! The play on textures and contrasting flavors is why I love this dish 3) Spicy Chicken Wings (Yangnyeom): For not being a chicken wing restaurant, Paiks sure does serve some banger wings. Juicy big wings with a slight crisp on the outside. The sauce is amazing. It is that sweet and spicy yangnyeom korean fried chicken sauce. 4) Tangsuyuk: I never visit Paisk without ordering their tangsuyuk. Perfectly fried with a great chew. The pork is not too porky or gamey which is nice, and the sauce is a sticky sweet and sour sauce. 4) Gunmandoo: Their panfried dumplings are quite nice too! I haven't gotten them in a while, but they were solid Overall, I don't think there was a single dish I disliked here at Paiks. Service is standard, not too fast not too slow. The ambiance is not really one for dates or anything. It's super casual with metal chairs. It can get a bit cold. There are restrooms and water dispensers. They used to have the self serve yellow radish but now they just serve it with your meal. You have to clean your table yourself and put all the dish trays in the back

The banchan were pretty hit or miss. The kimchi and salad were highlights. Overall taking away a star because I've had better experiences at other high end kbbq restaurants in different cities.

Clean cooking that wasn't oily and allowed the flavors of all the ingredients to shine. The japchae was light and refreshing, yet hearty. The silken tofu was solid and among the better once's we've had. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient while we reviewed the menu. We did the 3 meat BBQ combo, which easily feeds around 3 people and added a few extra dishes to share. We ordered the jahp chae, which is a stir fried glass noodle with vegetables and beef. It was AMAZING and probably our favorite dish of the night. Super flavorful but not oily at all which is rare for stir fried noodles. This was both of our favorites. We also tried tteok bokki, which is chewy rice cakes in a spicy sauce. They offer the option to add cheese and in hindsight I think that would have made it better. I was really excited for this one, but it didn't fully hit for me. It was good just not amazing and a little more spicy than I personally prefer. Lastly, we tried the yachae jeon which is a vegetable pan fried pancake, and WOW. It was huge, super crispy, and had sooo much flavor for a vegetarian dish. The meats and all the BBQ fixings were incredible. Honestly, every single thing that came to the table was amazing QUALITY and amazing FLAVOR. I also loved that the staff helps cook the meat for you which made the experience way more enjoyable. I have to shout out the customer service. From start to finish, the staff was amazing. They were patient with us as first timers, explained everything clearly, and made us feel super comfortable. We had a vegetarian in our group, and there were plenty of menu options for him.
