The bibimbap was the best thing I got from here with plenty of vegetables, a decent amount of beef, and they even included gochujang (spicy pepper paste) although it would've been nice if they included sesame oil. The tteokbokki and side of kimchi was extremely salty, enough so that I didn't even finish either of them and the portions were small too. On that note, for the price I paid, I expected a healthier portion of tteokbokki even though I didn't finish it. Overall, the food was ok; good enough for me to eat most of but probably would not go back considering there are other options.

I came here with my Yelper friend Eddie S last December. Since I haven't been here for over 7 years, I couldn't really compare. As far as the overall experience, I feel it was better than the sister restaurant in Chinatown. Yeah I am a fan of Bon KBBQ. We arrived pretty early at the beginning of lunchtime on Sunday. Service was excellent and there were not many customers at the time. I remember we had plenty of meat to eat and they came out pretty fast. The buffet line was filled with freshly made dishes. The most memorable moment was the friendly employees. Although I could no longer eat red meats like before, I would have to find alternative dishes when I go back.

The young lady who took my order was friendly, helpful, and provided excellent customer service. What puzzled me was how quickly my food came out. By the time I put my wallet away and walked over to find a seat, my order was already ready. I initially assumed the cook had been listening as I ordered and that the freshly grilled chicken had just come off the grill, been tossed in the sauce and boxed up. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I got home about five minutes later, and the chicken was only barely warm. It tasted like it had been cooked an hour earlier and then tossed with sauce before being served to me. The rice was also very dry and clumpy instead of light and fluffy. Had the chicken been hot and the rice not clumpy , my experience would have been much better. While the customer service was excellent, the quality of the food wasn't a five star for me. I'm not sure I'll be returning.

Who wants to buy meat that's most inedible because it's all burnt. Geez. Totally rude. Won't buy here again even though some days she's nicer. This is a prime example of what happens to owner attitude when there's little to no competition. No need to be nice to customers. I hope someone else comes in so all us customers can go somewhere where they're at least indifferent (I know true kindness is probably asking too much so I'd settle for just indifference). Until that happens I'll make the 30 mile journey to Chinatown just to avoid the toxic rudeness that emanates from the owner here

Customer service is pretty straightforward we've never had any issues, and once your food comes out, you're pretty much left alone to enjoy it. But WAIT. Atmosphere is sterile and kind of ugly and not cozy at all. It smells like the same cleaning fluid they use in gas station bathrooms so that was definitely not a good thing. They really need to find a different cleaning fluid that is not so chemical smelling and strong because it was bad. We told our waiter this is our first time to KPOT and he really did not explain anything on the menu or how many to order so we ordered two orders of the beef on spare rib and only two pieces came to the table which was not enough for one person let alone 3. We also tried the bulgogi which was very mid. The beef ribs were decent but had too much fat on every piece so you have to order so many until you get enough beef. Meat definitely was lower quality than Seoul Garden. Pot stickers were ok. We left around 10:15pm and they close at 11 and they were already mopping the floors so they were so slippery when we were walking out which is not a smart idea. Also a girl had a huge cart clearing the table across from us while we were still eating making all this noise just tossing the plates loudly into the cart just inches from our table which was pretty rude and could have waited or done more respectfully. All in all didn't love the vibe for the price or the service.

When we finally got seated we weren't asked What would you like to drink or this is our drink menu. It was-Water,right?right?Ok brb. So we had water just like the rest of the people in there. Also weird how they don't have any drinks on the menu or let you know about options. Could I have asked for something else? Sure but again waitresses were just all over the place it was crazy. When we ordered and others food was coming out we realized what big portions they give you. BTW just 'cus it's big portions doesn't mean This food is about to be the best Ive ever had. The food- We got some shrimp plate and we were told it was spicy because it has peppers and peppercorns which would numb your tongue. It was just basic shrimp dish. Only good or cool part of it was eating lotus root which Ive never had before. We also ordered the "special" house beef noodles and I don't see the hype or why they're so special. The only crazy part was the noodles length. Which honestly made it hard to eat. We ordered the duck which came with the soup. The soup was made from scraps. I think if they had added more duck and not just scraps it would be my fav thing of everything we ordered. Will say it tasted like chicken soup. For the duck. It wasn't as crispy as people made it seem to be. I expect idk a more gamey flavor to it and all I kept saying is-This taste like pork carnitas. Idk why we got treated better than the table behind us. We asked for to go just like they did but they just gave them their to-go plates like Here ya go and they put all of our food in our to-go for us. Would I go back? Its one of those you say- Ok I've had it,had the duck, don't get the hype but ok not worth coming back again for more.
