They have a cafe now on Grand Avenue near Wooster Square, which has excellent coffee - even better than the truck in my opinion. It's also a nice, bright space with comfy seating that's good for quiet work or chatting with neighbors. read more

I've seen the Jitter Bus every time I've visited the City Seed Farmer's Market in New Haven. They primarily serve coffee and other beverages. The line is usually very long and I usually don't want to wait. This Saturday, the line was a little shorter. I ordered a black cold brew. It had a nice roasty flavor. Smooth. Service was efficient. I would definitely order coffee from the Jitter Bus again. 4.25. read more

The Jitter Bus - The Jitter Bus - Food Trucks Near Me

The Jitter Bus offers consistently quality espresso drinks around Yale during the week & Wooster Square on Saturdays! My go-to is a cappuccino, but whatever your typical espresso drink is, they can probably make it. Overall, the prices are reasonable relative to other coffee shops in New Haven. Definitely a local favorite, and recommend grabbing a drink if the lines aren't too long. read more

One of my go-tos at the Saturday morning Wooster farmers market! There are a variety of coffee/espresso drinks (the lattes and cortados are great!), teas, hot cocoa, etc. Besides drinks, they also sell coffee beans (whole or ground). The line can get very long but moves pretty quickly. read more

The Jitter Bus - Menu - Food Trucks Near Me

I always get excited when I see the Jitter Bus at a New Haven event. The long line itself should give you an indication of their quality and offerings. I've gotten a very solid flat white, latte, and drip coffee from the bus. The repertoire is pretty large, as you can tell by their surprisingly long menu. I love the quirkiness of the decorations and the chill baristas who man the bus. read more

What can be better than Coffee on wheels... Even though it's a mobile cafe they have the whole sweep of drip coffees ,espressos & cappuccino..an array of flavored lattes and their signature almond joy coffee. They also carry raspberry tarts, granola bars, muffins and croissant all made at the G cafe bakery. I knew they were going to be at the cherry blossom festival so they were on my top list of things for the day..the cold coffee I had was just brilliant sight, smell, taste...I love everything about the jitter bus...the art work on the bus is so kool. read more

Move over, regular [stationary] coffee shops--you got talented competition coming at you, literally. With the best concept for all coffee lovers, The Jitter Bus is a mobile coffee shop serving up lattes, cappuccinos, drip coffee, and more. The crew of this bus are three friendly and welcoming guys--Dan, Paul, and Andrew. They really know their coffee and are kind to everyone that stops at their bus's window. I am extremely impressed with and love this bus-iness!! I drove from the Hartford area to New Haven, where the bus will be parked, on its opening day after following it on Instagram. (Check out their account at @jitterbuscoffee, maintained by Dan, for updates and pictures of their deliciousness.) After snapping a few pictures of the amazing artwork (complete with a Connecticut quarter) in the wood shelf on the outside of the bus--done by Paul--I was welcomed by Andrew as soon as I walked up to the window. I ordered a mocha and chatted for a second with Andrew before he and the guys invited me onto the bus to check it out. Let's take a moment to smell this bus... Never has any place smelled so ridiculously good. I would have stayed there all day and all night, which the guys said I could, but I did not want to interrupt their work. I watched the three work in a small space, crafting drinks and organizing items while chatting with customers, and was hand-delivered my mocha by Paul seconds after crafting it right in front of me. I am picky about coffee, especially those made with syrups like mochas. Having noted that, I would also like to note that this is one of the best mochas I have ever had. I cannot get enough of it. I had one, sipped it on the bus, then requested another to go for my way home. (It did not last much past Glastonbury.) Paul also made me my new favorite, a cortado, after telling me it was one of his favorites, as it is a plain and smooth drink, easy on the stomach. So perfect. These are seriously very well-made coffee drinks!! The beans used to make the coffee drinks are locally roasted--A Happy Life of The Happiness Lab at the Grove--and are crafted to perfection by the crew. The crew of this bus really make the experience tremendous and notable. They are so kind and really care about what they are doing. Doing a bus that served coffee was an idea three friends joked about several months ago, but they steered into success when they executed the idea. Fantastic service, outstanding coffee. Without a doubt, this bus is worth stopping for. If you see this bus, stop it or follow it until it stops. I plan on making many trips back to New Haven (unless you guys steer into Hartford, which I would absolutely love) to get the best coffee and service. Check it out and support a truly supreme local bus-iness!! Cheers to getting the jitters from this bus!! read more

Amazing coffee, amazing owners, amazing food truck, amazing story. The Jitter Bus was once a short school bus, before it's insides were gutted by owners Dan, Paul, and Andrew. The three baristas built the bus into a coffee truck by hand, and it shows -- in the best possible way. Countertops are made out of wood and feel very home grown, menu and other type face are printed in careful hand-drawn font, the outside counter bares the bus' logo burnt into the wood. In a world where many young people consider the ability to assemble Ikea furniture pretty 'handy,' the fact that this bus was constructed with wood, pipe, and nail by three 20 somethings is very impressive. The product is exemplary. Jitter Bus uses roaster Giv Coffee, A Happy Life, and Sacuzzo -- all of which are delicious and small batch, and operate at above fair trade buying practices. Stand outs include star breather espresso by Giv made into a cortado, or their 'Almond joy' latté, a coconut, espresso and almond milk concoction. There are also lovely little croissants from G Cafe. I'm a huge fan, and hope to convince my boss to hire them to cater the next big meeting or staff development day we have at my office. I'll go ahead and give them a 6/5. read more

So I finally got around to trying the coffee. AMAZE! I know that's not proper use of the word. But I don't think I care. My review. Super friendly staff. Fast service. And they're cute... (cough) I mean courteous too. Delicious coffee. Love love love the strong brew. Even the iced coffee is some of the best I've had. I don't even want to add sugar. Because the guys are all sweet...(cough) I mean they are all pretty neat. You know. Neatly dressed. Their Americano is smooth. They have a punch card so frequent visits are eventually rewarded. Will work on getting my 4th "punch" today! They also have pastries and the like for sale so you can definitely find something to go with your java. Just go! I usually find them on Grove Street. read more

Stopped by this bus when we were at the Wooster Square farmers market. Always a reliable and delicious caffeine fix. Today we had hot chocolate and it was SO Tasty!!! Prices are reasonable and service was excellent! read more

The jitter bus always serves great coffee. The Americano and Latte are smooth. Still remember that on my first day in New Haven, I just bumped into this bus and got my very first cup of coffee. But they do not come to Grove St that often so I always feel lucky when I see the bus at the street. The service is quick and the staff is handsome! Oh I just found out in other reviews that they offer a punch card and frequent visitors could get rewards. I will ask for that next time. read more

The best coffee around - and best lattes. Great service, also friendly and efficient. read more

I was walking my dog along Grove St one day and spotted the Bus. It seemed like a cool concept, so I wanted to give them a try. I strode over, ordered a cappuccino, was about to pay, and...realized I'd forgotten my wallet. The barista was so cool about it, though. He offered to get me a coffee anyway, saying I could pay him back the next time I came. I was way too embarrassed to accept, but was impressed by his kindness. Went back the next day, wallet in hand, and got myself a large capp. I'm so glad I did! The coffee is amazing and, at under $4, definitely a steal. All in all, excellent service, delicious coffee, and great prices. I'm a new loyal customer. read more

I go to the jitter bus every morning, and it is always one of the highlights of my day. My favorite drinks are the iced latte and the dirty chai, but all the drinks are delicious (high-quality at an affordable price). Additionally, the owners are incredibly passionate about what they do, which clearly shows in the way the bus is decorated and the menu presented. read more

I used to be a consistent customer because I liked their iced mochas. However, on several different occasions, I went out of my way to visit the Jitterbus where they said they would be, and they were consistently not there. I checked the Facebook and Instagram to see if they'd posted an update saying they wouldn't be there, and nothing. When I tried calling to ask why they weren't where they said they'd be, no one picked up. The last straw for me was when I tried one of their iced lattes and it was one of the worst I ever had. The coffee was so diluted and tasted like it was made with water, not even milk. It was sweet to the point that it was unbearable. I hate food waste especially when I've paid for it, but it was so bad that I took two sips and had to throw it out. read more

I love this bus! I wish we have more of this kind in the west coast area. It's convenient, fast, with a simple menu, reasonably priced and the service was pretty good too. It would be great if they had 1 or 2 hot food items in their menu but I just walked down the street from Yale admissions office and there it was! read more

I think if they have a crowd, in an effort to get rid of the line, the coffee suffers. I ordered a latte, there was no foam, and it was lukewarm at best. Again, it was a long line so who knows read more

Great service, very good latte. I enjoyed grabbing a cup and a pasty on my way :) I ordered an almond milk latte. I think the almond milk was unsweetened which made the latte not creamy at all, but it was still very good. read more

I decided to give The Jitter Bus another try. I happened to be at the Wooster Square Farmer's market in New Haven and remembered I had their coffee once before. I rode the Canal trail to where it ended in New Haven. I was so happy to see the truck right where I exited the trail because I really wanted a coffee but didn't have a lock for my bike to go into a shop. The staff was super friendly, the coffee was really good and I actually hung out with the guys for a little while on the bus. Being an ultra shy introvert, that's a big deal that they made me feel comfortable enough to hang out. Do yourself a favor and forget the trendy cup and give these guys a try. read more

If you're looking for amazing coffee, at a more than reasonable price, made by people who are passionate about what they do then this is where you want to be. You might be able to find all of that at other places but, what you won't find are the three Jitter Bus owners, Dan, Paul and Andrew. These three guys put themselves into creating and sustaining The Jitter Bus and it shows. You can trust that everything from the artwork on the bus to the artwork in your latte is done by someone who has dedicated themselves to perfecting that art. Honestly can't say enough great things about these guys. Do yourself a favor and enjoy some Jitter Bus coffee. read more

I was dying to visit this truck, but never in the area where they are located. We made it a point one day to go visit and were not disappointed! The menu is small but perfect for a coffee and a treat. They offer all their drinks hot/iced, caff or decaff which I really liked. Their cups are good sizes and the price point is on par with other higher end coffee joints. They do offer a punch card so you rack up "points (punches)" once you max out. We had a scone to go along with the coffee and it was amazing. They don't make the baked items themselves but where ever they get them from also gets a thumbs up. I wish they were closer so I could enjoy the coffee more often! read more

Having worked as a barista for many years and being familiar with the industry I can undoubtedly say that The Jitter Bus makes a slammin cup o' joe. They always have a great selection of light, medium, or dark and they get new blends to try all the time. The coffee is also always consistently good which even at some of my favorite places you may have a day where you get a off cup but at the bus it is always on point. These boys are really nice too and offer great service. Definitely worth stopping by when you see that black bus or for me making it a daily coffee destination. read more
