I don't quite "get" this place. Cute decor, but service is average at best. There's lots of competition in the area, so if they don't get their act together, they will be another in a long list of establishments to not make it in that location. They cater to an "active lifestyle" so I was surprised that they did not advertise or incent participants in the Marshfield Diva Dash to patronize the restaurant after the event. When 7 of us arrived after the event (lunchtime) on a Saturday they were not staffed to handle us. Waitress rattles off a list of draft beers, only to return and state they were out of the only beer that we all agreed on Service was slow, and we should at least been offered water (we'd obviously just run a race given our attire) when we first sat down. "You won't believe this, but we only have 3 menus", says the waitress. Huh? No salt and pepper on the table either. I had to get up from my meal and track down someone who could give me a pepper shaker. On a prior visit, the waitress was grumpy and looking like she couldn't wait to get off her shift. I'd like to see this place make it, but if you want to be taken seriously, then you've got to staff up and be ready to deliver. Otherwise, it will be a loooong winter. read more

There are lots of great restaurant options in the area - this isn't one of them. It took almost an hour for the food to come out. In a party of 4, one order was wrong and two others were barely edible. Our server was lovely, but the server who assisted in delivering the food was quite rude when dealing with the incorrect order. We declined to have it fixed since it took so long for it to come out the first time. As we were about to ask for the check, they brought out a second dish - still wrong, and pointless considering we were done. I was surprised to be charged for it when the bill came. Been here a few times for brunch with friends. Really fun atmosphere, good food, friendly staff. It was not that busy but both times the live music (acoustic singer) volume was VERY loud. I like loud music and she was talented, but it was piercingly loud / impossible to have a conversation over. As for food, the french toast is amazing as are the short rib and fish tacos. This place is great. Cool beach vibe that's appropriate for the area but slightly upscale and not at all tacky. Could easily go with your friends for beers or drinks. But I happened to go tonight with my 4 y.o. son. To my surprise, they actually did have a kids menu. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was great. I had the fish tacos, and they were excellent. Portion was huge. Fish tasted very fresh, and the salsa/slaw and sauce was amazing. (My son's hot dog roll was a little burnt, but he doesn't eat the roll anyway). Prices very reasonable. Sports on most of the TVs but otherwise wouldn't really classify as a sports bar. But it is a great bar, and one to which I will definitely be returning. read more

First time i went here it wasn't a great experience. Food wasn't as described on the menu and when i told the owner/ manager she wasn't very nice about it but she did take it off the bill. The second time there was better. I knew to carefully order my meal and to be specific about what i did not want on my food and not just to take for granted that ingredients not listed on the menu might indeed show up in my meal. How do people with food allergies manage? Anyway, the food was better and the service was friendlier. I do love the decor of the place. The only thing they need to fix is the bar. I went there with family and was sat at a table within 5 min. The table behind us sat about 5 min after us and was taken care of by the wait staff before us. It was a solid 10+ minutes we sat and never attended to by the wait staff. We ended up walking out before they could get to us. It was a horrible experience for what seemed like great spot. Today we had my daughter's Christening celebration at The Jetty. They did a fabulous job with the party. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. They were extremely accommodating. The decor was nice and they served us delicious cupcakes. I would definitely recommend the Jetty for a small function. We will be back. read more

Love the breakfast and the absolute best Bloody Mary's (bloody Mary bar,,,awesome!!!)

We'd gone here a few times over the course of last spring and summer and the food was decent- nothing worth raving about. My husband and I went in for a late lunch yesterday and were blown away by the new menu. I do not know if they got a new chef or just decided to diversify a bit but we had a wonderful meal" clam and artichoke soup, meatballs, potstickers. All were wonderful. It can be hit or miss; could be a 1, could be a 5. When it first opened the menu was great, refreshed seasonally and the place was always hopping. Once winter rolled around it was just another townie bar, and service fell off. We stopped going for a bit but then as the weather got warmer we returned and things were back to normal. I am happy that a potentially great restaurant took over this local but I wish the townie spill over from across the street didn't bring this place down in the winter months. read more

First time in The Jetty this weekend. My son ran the St. Patrick's day parade on Saturday. He brought us into this well designed/decorated bar right across the finish line. Was very busy due to the race. We decided to sit outside on the tables they provided outside. Ally, the waitress brought us drinks and recommended that I try a bloody mary.I loved the bloody mary that much, that my husband and I came back the next day. To my surprise, there was a bloody mary bar! Wow and yummy! My husband was in shrimp and bacon galore. The time we came in there was a girl singing. A little loud for my older ears, we sat by the windows. We saw Ally again, she remembered us and our love for the bloody marys. Made me feel like a celebrity that she remembered our names and drinks from such a busy day before. Although my husband and I were in the mood for more of a lunch menu, it was Sunday brunch for them limiting the lunch menu. Ally suggested that I try the fish tacos. Boy-oh-boy! I will be dreaming of those for weeks. Simply delicious, with big chunks of fried fish. You get what you pay for. My husband got a cheeseburger. He asked for medium rare. Came out medium but not a problem. He still finished the whole thing. Overall a great experience. Love the atmosphere of this place. Clean and bright. Much more than your average bar. Last night a friend and I went out to eat, we chose the jetty for there mahi mahi tacos which are delicious! Twenty minutes after we ordered our food the bar tender came over and told us that they didn't have any mahi mahi. So we looked at the menu again and asked if they could just switch out the type of fish instead of the mahi mahi. The bar tender said that was fine. So another 20 minutes went by and they brought out our food and it wasn't even close to what we ordered it was a completely different meal. My friend and I politely asked the bar tender what exactly they gave us, the only thing the bartender said was "Fuck!" So we sent back the food and closed our tabs out. As we were closing our tabs the female bartender walked over the male bartender that was waiting on us and goes "They are seriously not going to eat that!?" Never have I ever felt so uncomfortable at a restaurant. I will not be returning. read more

Went to the Beer Dinner tonight and what a great event! The beers by Untold Brewery based out of Scituate were varied and excellent. They were masterfully paired with 5 courses of lip-smacking delights. ( See the menu on their website or FB page.) This new chef really knows how to cook. And service was super. Welcome new addition to Brant Rock. Good crowd for newly opened. Enjoyed a terrific shrimp taco entree. My dish consisted of 3 delicious shrimp tacos, nicely seasoned with a nice touch of heat. My dining partner enjoyed a real nice dish of bolognese pasta. Very good. Nice wine list. Generous pour. Funky decor. Service was outstanding. Will definitely be back. read more

Was very hopeful, brunch menu looked good, friendly wait staff, BUT the wait was LONG, no apologies, when food arrived cold, manager came over and said we would get new food, clearly they threw it under a heat lamp, still not hot. Worst was no one checked in to see if "new" food was better. Takes eons to get coffee refill. I won't be back unless I hear service and food has improved. read more

I'm going right out on a limb here, for the first time ever, in public. This is the best burger, hands-down I have ever tasted. I have spent my lifetime seeking out the best of everything, particularly in the food area. The Jetty was recommended to me by a couple I met at another restaurant last week, as serving $5 burgers on Monday and Tuesday nights. Not much of an intro to what came out to me from the kitchen. Whoa! The burger came on a brioche bun so perfectly matched in size to the burger that as I ate it it slowly reduced in volume, sort of melting into the insides of the package in a most delectable way. The burger was hand-crafted, which is key to getting all the crustiness to form in the wee indentations on the outside. And, lo, and behold! it was cooked to absolute perfection. I watched the delivery to several other of my fellow salivating diners at the bar, and saw exactly the same level of perfect grilling. It was topped with American cheese (Again key. I mean who in their right mind actually wants something like Provolone on their all-American cheeseburger?) I think there were lettuce and tomato on there, but please don't hold me to it. I wanted to immerse myself in the pleasure of the moment, and just prayed I'd remember it. I had a choice between fries or salad, and I chose the latter, which was a nicely (here read lightly) dressed salad of Mesclun, tomato and cucumber, in a basket with the burger and a lovely slice of dill pickle. Went to check it out with my wife and had apps. Mid afternoon and quiet but the waitress was out to lunch. Poor service. Didn't care for the menu. Not sure what they were thinking when they came up with this one. Two steps from the beach and I can't get any fried food. No sandwiches, just a burger which looked good, guy beside us ordered it. Took way to long and then was just warm. The owner was very friendly and offered to fix it, remove the charge or give us something else. Loved the inside decor, scrap the menu and give the casual beach crowd that good old shanty food. Good luck. read more

Came down to Brant rock for the 4th of July festivities, and was excited to learn there was a new restaurant on the Esplanade.. However that excitement turn to disappointment after this morning's breakfast. Wait staff was nice enough, menu was limited. Food took surprisingly long since it was not busy. Manager was less than hospitable, in a terrible mood that was clearly apparent to diners. I would suggest adding a few more menu options, and staffing the place with friendlier faces. When the food did arrive, it was good, will give it that. read more

This place is absolutely horrible. They try to spruce up food by putting nasty sauce all over it and the customer service is terrible. If three people won't eat the food that was served and you won't refund the money or redo the food, you'll be going out of business soon. There are places that are 10x better within steps; so, it's a no brainer to avoid this place. read more

This really makes me so sad to write this because I want nothing more but great places to eat in the town I love but unfortunately this is not one of them. we went for brunch and not only waiting for the food was painful but we ordered ice coffee and they gave us warm coffee with no ice they must have not had ice coffee and just threw ice cubes in it and by the time I got to us it melted. Then came the fish tacos and the fried chicken with waffles I honestly thought it was a joke. The chicken and waffles were drenched in cheap syrup and a sickening sweet apple and raisin chutney the chicken was burnt in the fryer ,it was truly inedible. fish tacos came with burnt cod from the fryolator with a pile of broken Doritos next to it there were only two of them the pieces of fish were tiny and they said that it came with pico de gallo but there was nothing but chopped tomatoes and onions. I know the people that work there are great and the setting an atmosphere are wonderful. the sad thing is if the owner doesn't start to really look at what's coming out of his kitchen they won't last any longer than anybody else did there. read more

For a place that is advertising as being someplace that persons with an active (and theoretically healthy) lifestyle would frequent I was very disappointed. Tons of fried food and a basic salad on the menu. When we asked the waitress if anything could be prepared gluten free she pointed at the salad and nothing more. Service was marginal at best. The service was great the food was excellent and the environment and atmosphere was friendly and comfortable. We went back again to try the dinner menu. Was there yesterday afternoon for late lunch. Both service and food were very good (Thanks Caroline!). We had the beet salad, turkey sandwich, burger and steak tips. Mixed drinks were not great. Went here a few days ago with my two uncles, mom, and younger brother. We immediately LOVED the feel of the place - it's very beachy and open. The tables were really nice and the place is spacious. We all got the sangria which was fabulous. We ordered the calamari and mussels for our appetizers, and I'm a super picky calamari eater, but it might have been the BEST calamari I've ever tasted! I definitely recommend that dish. Our meals were great as well. The waitress was friendly and on top of things, as was the food runner and manager. I think this place will go far! read more

Have been there quite a few times and find it to be a great place to watch a game at the bar or sit and have a light dinner.. A little loud but that's what you want and expect at a sports bar. Good food, interesting but smaller menu, great service with really pleasant servers and bartenders. They did a good job on the interior renovations giving the place a new comfortable feel. Could use a little more selection on the draft beer list maybe a local micro-brew. read more

Second time at the Jetty, loved it the first time, Had some apps and beverages staff was great. It was the 70's theme night, food was good and atmosphere was fun. But l am bit confused and disappointed on our visit today. Ordered the fish taco, the first time I was there everyone was getting them each plate had 3 tacos on it...today for lunch only 2!! That's fine however no sides and still same $14 dinner price, Ask a server what happened to the 3rd she said not for lunch time now I am stewing I didn't complain about the price... read more

Three and a half stars is about right. Shared fish tacos and wings and they were very good. Noise level is high and the vibe is pretty good. Bar staff is pretty good but a little inexperienced. Not much in the way of good food in this part of the world but this place is a keeper. We will be back. read more
