Nice sitting area with a flat screen, some chairs, a bench and some sort of chair. News papers and magazines to pick through for the wait. I only had to wait like 10 minutes, which was nice! Place was packed but everyone kept it moving. I was seated at a cute two top table, and reviewed the menu. So many good items to choose from! I went a little crazy on the menu since I was pretty hungry, and went with the Juervos Rancheros. When it came out, holy crap was it amazing!!!!! Spicy but not overly spicy. THIS is how food should taste! Since I've been back, I haven't had food this good since Phoenix, especially an authentic Mexican dish like this. Totally done perfectly!!!! The waitress asked how I was enjoying my food, and I don't know how she understood me since I was literally shoving food fast and hard into my mouth. I literally sounded like I was at the dentist when I told her "I think I'm in love. Please tell the cook I am dying over here with love." I mean, it was one of those moments where you're kind of glad that your eating alone so you can soak up the goodness? This is my second time visiting The Jagged Fork. I ordered the Panchero omelette with a side of hash browns, pancakes and a coffee. This was a large breakfast even for me. First, there are several things that may turn people away, but those things may bring others in. The wait was about 10 minutes, but that's because the atmosphere is smaller. The host staff was a bit shaky, but my wife and I knew that it was because these were local high school girls or other colleges kids from the community trying to make it. The food was not the cheapest, but we knew that the food was carefully cooked and assembled and tasted delicious. The side of pancakes were amazing! This restaurant,for us, defines the Grosse Pointe communities in a single breakfast joint. Don't get me wrong, the food is good but I'm just confused as to why the ratings are as high as it is. I had a breakfast skillet that was good but tasted like every other skillet I've had. Nothing memorable about that but the side of pancakes were great. Prices were fair for breakfast but the options are lacking. They offer the same five or six options, but switch it up on their menu under bennys, omelettes, and skillets but they all have the same components. Like I said, the food is good and the prices are fair but there really isn't much diversity in savory breakfast options on the menu in my opinion. Next time, I think I'll just stick to an order of pancakes and bacon as I feel like I could order the other breakfast options just about anywhere else. We came here, party of 5 on a Sunday around 10:30 and only had to wait 20 minutes. The food was great. First, I couldn't believe the portion sizes. We all had leftovers. I had an omelette, crispy hash browns, and pancakes. All were amazing. I love that you have the option of toast or pancakes, since I'm not too big on toast. My wife had the chilaquiles, which I sampled and was delicious as well. She also got a pomegranate mimosa, which we both thought was just ok. I finally made it! I was tired of driving by without stopping. First the parking is not the best. I would suggest coming before 11:00 if you don't like waiting a little. The restaurant is not that big and the seating is kind of close but while seating you still have your space. The waitress was perfect from the minute we sat down to the end. Our drinks came quick and the food was hot and delicious!! We ordered the traditional breakfast and French Toast. Delicious... bacon was cooked to perfection. And that syrup was HOT! I played it safe with ordering because it was my first, however, I will be back to try other things. They didn't get 5 stars because the hostess was a little rude. I went here with high expectations based on the reviews and photos. I was not disappointed. The restaurant is small and quaint. We got there at 8:00 am on a Saturday, and the place only had a few patrons. By 8:20am, the restaurant was packed full. There are small tables and no booths. The place gives a small time diner like feel. The pecan and banana pancakes were decadent. They actually put the bananas IN the pancakes, as well as on top. I also had the skillet with bacon, ham, sausage, and I added onions and green peppers. It was very good and filling. The syrup is served in a glass-type oil type dispenser. I found it to be a little weird and difficult to pour. The server was nice, albeit a little stingy on the to-go requests for syrup. I would definitely recommend the Jagged Fork. I love it! Came by for a Saturday breakfast at 9:00am and found ample parking and plenty of open tables! Our server was SO nice - it was the first time I haven't felt out of place in 'The Pointes' ;-) We ordered coffees while deliberating over the super incredibly vast menu! Although the pancakes looked seriously amazing, I ended up going with the The Voodoo eggs Benedict. I definitely made an amazing choice - perfect English muffin topped with perfectly poached eggs, amazing chorizo, and guac. Couldn't ask for more at $10.00. ( And No Hollandaise - thank Goodness for sans Hollandaise benedict options!) I'm also super stoked to find Chorizo on the menu - nice work, and not too common around these parts. My husband went for a more traditional (yet still tasty!) breakfast - The Traditional! Two eggs, choice of meat, hashbrowns or fruit, and toast or pancakes, $7.00. I would definitely go to The Jagged Fork again, and the earlyish Saturday breakfast surely beats waiting in a long Sunday Brunch line! read more

I've been here 3 times recently I took my daughter in for brunch I purchased Eggs Benedict. My daughter ordered like a burger or something LOL anyway she said it was the best food she ever had not bad for an 11 year old and her i dont like it attitude...so they came through for us on that one. And my experienced food palette thought that the eggs benedict was one of the best I've ever had in my life. The only thing I'm taking 1 STAR for is how early they close because maybe even have a liquor license actually I think they do because they serve Spanish coffee. Me I'm not a drinker but I did notice that they sell Illy coffee one of the best coffee companies in my opinion on this Earth. Everything's a little pricey so make sure you bring your wallet and don't come in your walking like a bum...it's kind of a classy establishment Grosse Pointe. Great atmosphere. Went for Sunday breakfast and got there at 9am which was great because they were not busy! The food however was just ok. My mom got coffee and it was really weak. They messed up our eggs and put hers on mine and mine in hers. Unfortunately we didn't figure this out until we cut into our eggs...and mine were covered in a sauce so we couldn't switch anyway. The food was pretty greasy. We were not satisfied so we ordered the strawberry crepes. Mom liked it okish, but they were not sweet. They were very cream cheese and marscapone. No sugar really. Disappointing. We had amazing service though so that saved this from being a 2 star. We drive all the way from Troy. It wasn't worth it unfortunately. This is my new favorite brunch place! I can't even believe how good everything was. We ordered the Cinnabon pancakes and Chicken Florentine Crepe for our entrees and the verde fries as a side. I've never had such delicious pancakes before, and wanted to devour the whole thing, except it's huge and I would probably go into a food coma if I did. The cinnamon swirl topped with the cream cheese frosting was just too good for words, even better than a real Cinnabon. The chicken Florentine crepe was also made for me. This was a savory crepe but the crepe itself was a little sweet which gave for a sweet and savory dish - my favorite! The verde fries were also something to write home about because the verde sauce was so fresh and was a great offset to the sweet of the pancake. We waited 40 minutes in line when we came at 1 PM on a Sunday but well worth it! read more

This review is not about the food or service, but at the sneaky addition of an 18% gratuity for two breakfast diners. I knew the bill seemed high, but I was rushing and quickly added in the tip based on the suggestions at the bottom of the receipt and left. I take the blame for not paying closer attention, but it should have been mentioned at the time of service and the receipt definitely shouldn't include tip suggestions when it's already been added in. Go here all the time with family and friends and the food is just amazing! There has never been a day where I've gone and the food tasted different. The waitresses are super friendly and the looks of the vicinity is nice as well. For the amount of customers they get, there is always quite a wait time and the seating isn't always the most comfortable depending on where you sit. The Menu is large but not too big that you're overwhelmed or underwhelmed either. I've come here and tried several different dishes and you will not be disappointed with breakfast or lunch. The parking lot is small and then you can park on the busy Mack Ave street.
