I love the Indo! Been twice since it opened. The menu has been re-done recently. I LOVE the vegan "ground beet burger". I've never had anything like it and it knocked my socks off. The frickles (fried pickles) are also a favorite. The taps are awesome and always changing. Try to drop in during the Irish sessions for some live music. read more

Get the Parmesan truffle fries, you'll die and go to heaven. Drinks are phenom. The Always Sunny in Beverly is dope, tastes like a sweet gherkin pickle sleeping on a cloud of lavender. For brunch, try the breakfast sandwich. read more

I've been here a few times now. I have to admit both my wife and I were regulars of Kitty O'Shea's and I had my reservations about The Indo before I walked through the door. That being said.... I'm impressed. They have an excellent draught beer selection and quite a few gems in bottles and cans. On our first visit for my meal I had the Indo Burger. It was extremely good. I don't know who had the idea to put pastrami on the burger but I want to shake that person's hand. For the first time in quite a while my burger was actually cooked rare... not a hockey puck not raw but perfect. My wife had the fish and chips and she enjoyed it. I did try a bite and was happy that the batter wasn't overdone and you could still taste the fish, which was very light and flaky. A little more on the expensive side than Kitty O'Shea's but the menu and beers are of a higher quality and worth it. Not sure yet if this is "our spot" but we'll be back. Finally it was great to see Noreen behind the bar when we walked in the second time! It's nice to see some things stayed the same. read more

Went for a couple drinks - it was loud and the bartender was not attentive. We ordered 2 drinks and the waitress did not come back to ask if we wanted another drink. After waiting a bit I decided to close out because she had not returned. I told another bartender what I had ordered and it took 5-10 minutes before I got the bill in front of me and they had added an extra drink. Would not return, terrible staff. read more

As Kitty O'Shea's, this place used to be a pretty classic dive bar, full of loud music, drunks and average beer. For that reason, my husband (local to the area more than me) always wanted to stay away. Since their switch in ownership and renovation, the place has taken on a totally different feel. The cocktail menu is extensive, with a number of creative and different offerings. The beer menu is off the charts, with a ton of interesting beers- local and otherwise to try. Be careful though, some of them pack a punch with a high alcohol content, and go down a little too easily! Service is great, the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. The scene is late 20s / to mid 30s for the most part, and seems like a fun place for singles and couples to meet, etc. We still haven't tried the food, but have heard good things and hope to check out this place for their weekend brunch, which looks amazing. Happy to have another local place to add to the list of options for a fun night out! read more

Just tried The Indo tonight. I have been curious about it since before they opened officially and whenever I walk by, it always smells great. I got the veggie burger, which was good (I must say though, it's generally not the most vegetarian-friendly menu). My mom got the ribeye steak sandwich. It was way too salty for her taste (mine too)... Something in the seasoning. When we wanted to send it back, the man we spoke to (the owner I assume?) was VERY nice and apologetic. He ended up giving her a new sandwich, with no seasoning, and she loved it. Although it took a while for us to get anyone's attention about it, so by the time she got her sandwich, my friend and I were practically done with our meals. But the mgr comped the whole thing for her too, which was nice. Music was too loud (I think there was a speaker directly over our table) and the three of us spent a good deal of time just trying to hear each other. read more

Not much to say really, noticed a few comments on here about Kitty o Sheas. I used to go to Kittys every Tuesday night for many years. I could honestly say it was always a fun time. I personally felt that there is zero atmosphere at The Indo and not somewhere I would be bothered going back to. This bar has a great beer selection. I'm a fan of local brews as well as foreign. My one star is due to pricing and customer service. 1. Their beers are between $2-3 higher than a realistic price for said beers. Example: Nightshift Whirpool 16 oz 4-pack costs $9.99 in store. It's $7.25 for a 14oz pour. Next is that the $7.25 does not include tax. Example is beer number two on menu for $9. I give bartender a $10 and walk away. Next round he says beer was actually $10.15 and I owe him. Wait that tax is off, so I look at bill, he over charged for beer and then added tax. The manager said it was bc they were a small bar. Well when you charge an arm and a leg for a beer, no one will come back. Poutine is good, but also half the size of the original when they opened. Head over to Salem for a better beer selection and fair prices. read more

It's casual but cool with a real cozy traditional pub feel the portobello veggie burger was so delicious it's made in house which is such a treat my husband loved the Indo burger. The Indo, the worst dining experience this writer has ever had. What should've been a fun Sunday brunch with friends turned into an infuriating experience that ruined the day for 5 local customers. We first sat at the bar where the service was mediocre, before moving to a table in the front of the restaurant to accommodate people who we're joining our party. We placed our order around 1 o'clock, around 1:45 someone approached the bar, because our waitress was nowhere to be seen. We were told that they had only one cook, our order was 4 breakfast sandwiches and 1 benedict. 25 minutes later our food came out cold. The steak on my benedict was inedible, completely disgusting. Described on the menu as marinated steak, it must have been marinated in a mixture of straight lemon juice and battery acids because it left the mouth feel of licking a 9v battery, left a very metallic taste in my mouth. It was the first time that I have left steak on my plate. Both waitresses never came to see how our meal was, until I went and asked for our check. When we began to tell her how our experience was far below expectations she just walked away. In summation having formerly been an avid fan of the Indo brunch, I will never step back in this establishment. It was hands down the worst, most infuriating dining experience I have ever experienced. There should be a lot of heart and pride in a local restaurant, even more so being an Irish pub, there was none of that. Absolutely embarrassing. read more

I was really looking forward to trying out The Indo this Sunday for the first time since it opened. Needless to say, I was slightly disappointed, the decor seemed like a poor attempt at an Irish theme and not to be that guy, but this was something I loved about Kitty O'Sheas. The beer list was pretty good except when I ordered a Guinness it was given to me about 75% full and the bartender told me that the next one I get will be full since they had to change the keg. Well my feeling is that if I am going to spend 6 to 7 dollars on a beer, then I would like to get all 6 to 7 dollars worth of that beer. After that beer fiasco that bartender never returned to my friend and I (who were sitting at the bar) and the guy running tables kept checking in on us every so often. Also the music for an Irish bar usually doesn't consist of Rancid and Reel Big Fish, but I do enjoy those bands. I was very excited to try this place out for the first time since moving out of Beverly and I left slightly disappointed. read more
