She also demonstrated great leadership qualities and carried herself with confidence while still making the experience feel warm and welcoming. I frequent this BoomerJack's location and I'm always pleased with the service, but Vanessa's level of hospitality and professionalism was truly superior. The server looked at our table and said "wow the kitchen is really on top of it" so which is it? Backed up? Or on top of it? My wife ordered the crispy fish sandwich and I had the salmon and blue crab. I got the broccolini and she got the mac and cheese. We both got broccolini, we flagged down our server and let her know she got the wrong side and we still didn't have our drinks. She eventually came back with the drinks and another server showed up with the Mac and cheese as we were almost done with the meal. The Mac and cheese was the same sauce as the crab dip! Runny and just "ok" nothing exciting. The entrees were bad, the salmon was grilled well, but everything was kind of bland. Overall the experience was just "meh" for a $100 meal. When the drinks finally came, everyone but mine was delivered, the waitress said that she was running back up to grab mine. She came back with my drink 10 minutes later. The waitress came back with the appetizer and I actually placed another drink order as well before my second drink came because I wanted to stay ahead of the game. 2nd and 3rd drinks actually came at a reasonable time and I started feeling like the night was turning around. Spoiler Alert: It wasn't. Entrees were delivered and surprise surprise, the food that was ordered with mine was delivered but mine was not. Waited for another long period of time and then my food was delivered. Was an apology of any sort ever given, no.
