I'm not really a dive bar person, but I had a good time! We came on a Wednesday night for a friend's birthday bar crawl. For a Wednesday night, it was quite lively. There were people in every corner of the joint from the bar to the pool tables. They have a large selection of beers as well as whatever you would expect a dive bar to have. The bartenders were really nice. I got a Cuba Libre. It was a Cuba Libre.

Had a great time here! We alternate between The Huddle and Danny Ks for our weekly billiards fix. On a busy night, it's a bit harder to get a table here, however everyone we've encountered here has been super friendly and fun! The drinks are reasonably priced and the bartender is super nice. The tables are all coin operated and it's $1 a game so you can't beat that!!

The Huddle is a neighborhood bar in Costa Mesa and near John Wayne Airport. It's your typical dive bar with pool tables ($1), darts, and TVs scattered around the inside. They have food but you can also bring food inside and there are restaurants within walking distance. Their wells are $7, their Moscow mules are $10 which are something we usually default to drinking, and they have these rooster shots that include three individual shots of tequila, lime juice, and tomato juice. It's fun when you do it with a group of people!

Love this place so much. Unbeatable prices for whiskey sours and the vibe is immaculate. The bartenders are attentive. Great for a Saturday night out.

They have firewhiskey. They have riff raff. They have me. Don't come here unless you like all three.

Nice local watering hole. Get some dinner and head over to the huddle for some brews. Maybe even play with some balls.

We got the crispy cauliflower to start which surprised me - I really liked the dill ranch that came with it. For our mains, I got the bourbon bacon blues burger which was so good with the blue cheese, the flavor was strong but in all the right ways. My friend enjoyed her buffalo chicken sandwich and was able to take half to go. She did say she wished the buffalo sauce was a bit thicker, it's a rather thin sauce. This is a great spot to come and watch games as they have lots of big screens. Just know that it gets rather busy when big games are on. On days that there isn't big games, tables come and go pretty quickly so there isnt usually much of a wait at least on the weekdays. There are options for indoor and outdoor seating available. Our server was good, however I will say as soon as we paid they stopped refilling our waters. We stayed and chatted for a bit but our waiter or any staff never checked on us again after. Also, the bathroom could have used some attention, the trashcan was overflowing with paper towels and the plunger was out in plain view. I think a basket would help hide the plunger and cleaning products just so that the customers aren't thinking about plungers while at the restaurant.

To not make complete waste of a day driving down from the valley, decided to come here and grab one last table available with my family to have lunch and watch the World Cup final. We ordered the house nachos with chicken it was decent they were so busy I honestly don't know how they kept track and got the orders out so you have to take that into consideration. We asked for house salsa and pico de gallo on the side because it's dry without it even though it has some pico on it already. A nice portion and we all enjoyed it with some Dos Equis beers. The next item was the steak fajitas. I like the plate that comes with which is loaded with toppings refried beans and rice plus of course corn tortillas. Some of the parts of the meat were a little bit hard to chew but it wasn't unedible over all the dish was pretty good as well. Our server did a fantastic job considering how swamped she was and it was an absolute Madhouse. They charge 5% service fee on all tabs to offset costs and all that bullshit. There were lots of people standing around inside coming late...I didn't like that because they kept bumping into me and invading my personal space. They should not be allowed inside if no seats are available PERIOD. Either be sat at a table/ bar or get the fuck out. Very chaotic couldn't wait till the game finished of course went to extra time and then some.

Even if someone spent money at your location, the valet is going to charge you extra where there's no signage that says anything about $25? The place is small but decent, with a side room, pool table, outdoor area, and a fair number of TVs. However, it lacks the flow and atmosphere of a larger sports bar. The food was average: my medium burger arrived overcooked and dry, and the $3 upcharge for sweet potato fries felt steep. The bigger issue was that the TVs froze for about 30+ minutes, leaving us watching the game on our phones. I understand technical problems happen, but the response felt lacking. The manager or owner seemed stressed while trying to fix the issue, but there was little communication or customer recovery. A quick acknowledgment or small gesture would have helped - free beer or fries goes a long way toward recovering after your tech fumble. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but between the average food, TV problems, and limited response, I'd probably choose another place next time.
