Original sales guy nice. but best of luck getting any more help from original contact. 2 delivetoes for one refrigerator, because they can't or won't deal with sending a service person out - ice maker didn't work. Both times no call day before, first delivery 'we will be there in 15 minutes'. 2nd delivery they just showed up. First delivery marks on wood floor and door frame, 2nd tray banged the crap out of front wood door. They did not fully unpack inside tape. What if we were older people? I work in construction and will never recommend again. read more

The people who work there are very helpful, and they feel like a old time hardware store not a box store

I received a damaged dishwasher, installed on 04/17/2024, and am still waiting for them to replace it on 06/19/2024. I now know to always make sure delivery and installation are handled within the company you're buying from -- not outsourced, because they then just pass blame to one another instead of doing what's right--replacing the damaged appliance for the customer. read more

Crappiest customer service I've ever received in a while. Don't expect them to get off their phone to help you out when they give you the things you order that are behind the counter, don't expect them to help or offer to help to get it out to your vehicle because they might break a nail. read more

I like Home Depot; good customer service and BEHR paint is an excellent product. Also, they have their mis-tinted paint available for purchase for all customers, unlike Sherman Williams who sell their mis-tints to a select few. Will not buy from Sherman Williams any more. read more

Ordered a bathroom vanity online and went to the store to pick up. Went to the customer service desk to let them know I was there to pick it up. Had two ladies both tell me different things and where I was to go. One told me to go park in the "pro" section. I assume this is the contractor pick up at the end of the building?!? I was told it would be 10-15 minutes and to park and someone would be out to load it. After 30 mins I went back inside and asked the cashier for help and he acted like he couldn't call anybody to assist me. I asked what I was suppose to do...wait another 30 mins.?!? I understand he was a cashier and had a line but he could have called a supervisor or a lead to assist me on the status of where the vanity was. Thankfully I found Tricia and she went and got the vanity for me within 10 mins of asking. I appreciate her doing so and helping us load it in the truck. read more

Sadly, I had just read some bad reviews and I was shocked because the first time I had gone up there, there was a gentlemen who was very nice and I was new to picking out some dry wall and finding the right size and he was more than willing to help me out SUPER friendly and he even walked me Through the process of doing it and told me they could cut it for me or if I wanted to buy a smaller sheet and he even pointed out all the tools I would need to do it, unfortunately I can't remember his name I think he was a manager, maybe Chris??? Not sure! But probably the best customer service I've received. Now couple months later I'm going to paint over those patches and I call to the paint counter to find out process and costs, and oh lord, the guy was not interested in helping me at all, not friendly at all, seemed like he hated his job, kinda makes me not wanna go up there to actually grab my paint. The only reason I will give this place a 3/4 star is because of Chris (I hope is his name) is amazing. read more

Never use home depot for kitchen cabinets!!!! We ordered them 4 months ago and have been screwed around since. We have also had to pay around 3000$ more than y estimate! Our new cupboards were finally delivered a couple of weeks ago and are still sitting in our small kitchen in boxes. Very frustrated and mad. read more

Five stars for the sales people that helped us with a refrigerator purchase a couple of weeks ago. Less than five stars for the delivery service and subsequently the 'repair' service that came after. Once we picked out a new one we were told the delivery people would call the day before delivery and then call again just before they were to arrive. That was important because we had some construction going on here when our refrigerator quit and the people working here said they would move their trucks to let the delivery have room. Anyway, no calls at all. Two guys showed up and carried the new refrigerator into our house. That's part one. Part two. After they left, I had to remove the handles that they had installed because there was still plastic film hanging out. Part three. The corner of the refrigerator door sticks up a little higher than the freezer door. Part four. The whole unit rocks back and forth diagonally. It's no where near level. Part five. It runs non stop. Always. Unless a door is opened. Close the door, it starts running again. Part six. We went back to Home Depot and complained. They said a service call would be scheduled. At least this time the 'technician' called first. About five minutes before he arrived. He said the doors are not level on purpose. It allows for the additional weight of items stored on the door. Huh? Really? Just call me stupid to my face if you think I believe that. He then said he would order a replacement for it because it should not run constantly. He also levelled the thing so it doesn't rock anymore. Not a total waste of time. It turns out Home Depot contracts out the service and delivery instead of hiring their own people. Apparently the contract goes to the lowest bidder. So, we will still shop at Home Depot, but positively will not ever, never, absolutely, positively buy anything that needs to be delivered. If we can't carry it out ourselves we will go across the street to Lowes or around the corner to Menards. Now we know why Home Depot offers free delivery. It's worth less than free. As for the refrigerator itself. It's a huge disappointment. Lots and lots of wasted space inside because of the lame shelf arrangement. No more Fridgedaire and no more Home Depot delivery. Not in this house. read more

Normally I have been really happy with Home Depot, but I was very disappointed in their response to Covid19. Today was the first time I've needed to get a few items there since only essential businesses have been open. They did have some signs and markings for the entrance and at checkout. However there was no way for me to sanitize the cart. An employee was there and pointed me to a row of carts he said were sanitized. He wasn't wearing a mask. There were lots of employees out working on in the store. Again no masks and no sanitizer available. Social distancing was not great between employees. Some of the customers were even worse in social distancing. I had one gentleman squeeze past me before I noticed he was even near me. Only about a quarter of the customer were wearing masks Of the employees I saw, only two with masks. Both in the checkout area. There is a new hand held scanner for the self checkout, but again no sanitizer available. The employee didn't sanitize it in between customers. She also wasn't instructing the line to maintain distance. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, which has been my normal experience. However, management has dropped the ball in providing their employees and customers a safe environment due to current circumstances. Supply sanitizing wipes should be a given. All employees should be wearing masks and gloves. This is for there safety as well as the public's. Employees should have more training on how to enforce/help customers maintain social distancing, which is pretty much traffic control. Again, I feel this is a management issue. I'd say there were employees than normal (which is appropriate if given proper procedures) and very accessible and friendly. This is only the second review I've done on Yelp. I rarely review things. But the age of many of the customers and staff are . . . not spring chickens. So more vulnerable to getting Covid19 and then having complications and potentially death. read more

So let me start with saying my husband and I are full time RVers and just moved to the Topeka area here in the last few months ago. Since moving here we've had the roughest time with home improvement stores, their customer service the most. Well today was not one of those days. Ray Spray was our man today at Home Depot. He helped my husband out today with a major project he had going with the undercarriage of the RV. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, thank you again for everything. read more

Worse customer service ever. Just had the worst experience ever. They were expose to order some flooring for me. They said it should be tin the next day and they would give me a call. Never heard from them. Went in 4 days later and nothing no help from anyone. Tried to find someone in the department and they never showed up. Customer service was acting like I was crazy and they did t have anything there waiting. I have had this happened before here don't know why I even came back. read more

The pro desk was a useless nightmare, the service people were a nightmare and some of the product was flawed. The computers don't communicate with each other, nor do the service people. They sent stuff that we didn't order so we had to have it picked up and what we wanted delivered. The delivery was left on the curb and the return was not credited until I went in to jump up & down about it. Three fourths of the way through the project they were out of the trex product I was using in any color, and replaced it with fiberon in a different color. The list of things that went wrong goes on and on - I will NEVER go to Home Depot again! read more

I don't know many stores that do this but upon looking at their plant selection I noticed something weird... some plants had artificial fake flowers hot glued on them and some had been entirely spray painted. They could easily fool anyone who's not extremely observant to their plants. I've never been to a store that's done this. Is this common for Home Depot? It's a disturbing issue to me, no matter how cheap the plant, don't bother giving them your money for plants. Who knows what else could be fake. read more

This store is terrible. They do not communicate with the customers and do not tell the customers correct time frames. When you go to pick up items, they do not have them ready. They cancel orders without telling the customer. They are beyond disorganized. read more

Horrible store! Almost every other isle was closed. They didn't have anything we needed for our kitchen cabinets in stock. NO help. Walked around for 20 minutes only to find a sales person who responded with "I hsve no damn idea" when we asked about something. Absolutely ridiculous. Lowe's got our business. Dont waste your time! read more

The customer service desk at this location is the worst. Over the span of a couple of years I have special ordered items at this location. Both times, there were employees milling around and some one working the returns desk. On both occasions, I had to wait at least 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged me beyond the returns clerk telling me that "someone will be with you soon." For this pick up, I had to schedule a time I would be in and still the wait. I already avoid shopping here and will be sure to shop elsewhere in the future. read more

Just like any other Home Depot, giant mega-store that should have everything you want. For some reason though, they don't at times. On the plus side, they do seem to have anything relating to wiring and plumbing if you know how to do it already and what you need. Just takes a long time, sometimes, to search for the right item, especially if you're looking for a specific screw. Nice lumber section though. read more

I went to the Topeka, Ks. Home Depot this morning and was met by a young lady by the name of Sherry. She was so very kind and helpful to me, as I am a handicapped senior, with severe breathing problems. She stayed by my side until I was seated in a motorized cart, and was able to start my shopping. On completing my shopping she assisted me with checking out and offered to return the motorized cart to where it belonged. I'll never forget the courteous and thoughtfulness of this young woman. Thank you, Sherry. read more

They had 4 of the product on their display and all 4 had been opened and re-taped shut. Their cashier was rude after my card not scanning 3 times. Really bad experience. Find another store to buy your hardware. read more

I'm a truck driver trying to deliver a load.. Receiving person is so rude.. they have had me waiting at the unloading dock since yesterday. (No joke). It appears the receiving person is overwhelmed and out of her league. I wont deliver here again. If you shop here and they dont have what you are looking for you may want to take a trip to the back and see if your item is still on the truck waiting for hours to be unloaded... or maybe other drivers wont deliver to this location either... making it harder for this location to keep items in stock. This is my worst unload in a very very long time. read more

Store sent installer to my home to give me a quote to install vinyl siding on my home Their installer said he would not install home depot vinyl siding ,,windows or roofing because .the products was so bad he could not give a warranty.I spoke with store manager and he confirmed what the installer said was correct and maybe I could install it my self or find a installer that would. That says a lot about a store that will not stand behind their product. read more

Unknown to me, Home Depot arranges for a company named Linn Star Transfer (out of Kansas City) to provide their delivery and installation services for appliances purchased. (They are not employees of Home Depot.) The experience I had with Linn Star Transfer was horrible!!! The drivers are incompetent, lazy and unprofessional. Upon trying to fix the issue and address my concerns as the purchaser of the appliance and installation, the lazy customer service department at Linn Star Transfer was worthless as well. Ultimately, the intended services and product that I purchased was not successfully completed. This had nothing to do with kind salesperson at Home Depot, it was everything about Linn Star Transfer failing to provide the service they were hired to do. That being said, BEWARE of what strangers come to your home to provide installation of products purchased from major box stores. YOU DO NOT ALWAYS RECEIVE WHAT YOU THINK YOU ARE PURCHASING. read more
