I come here often for plant transplants garden area. Now it's hit or miss if the transplants survive Bonnie plants. However today I came for two projects at home that require nuts and bolts. I was helped by Gabriel and customer service great on helping me locate the right nuts for the screw I brought in and assisted with nuts and bolts I needed to repair a gate latch at home. Cashier Pat checked me out and also was very friendly. I just left their little competitor Walt's Ace Hardware and that experience was horrible. I used remaining gift cards I had here with no problem. I had cash and card but using gift cards shouldn't be a difficult process 2025 and The Home Depot technology is up to par. read more

Ordered wood for a fence project and wanted delivery. That was just the start. Ordered the wood on Saturday because the website said free delivery. Get ready to pay for it and there is $80 delivery fee, not quite free. That is if the wood comes from the store I was told its free if it comes from a warehouse. I said get it from the warehouse then, Well you ordered here at the store. Called 2 ladies over finally free delivery Thank You. Got the wood on Monday about half of it. Stopped by the store after work asked why, we don't care that wood at this store why didn't you tell me that on Saturday. "Didn't know", you work here, had to ordered different type of wood and delivery on Thursday, charged $20 for Thursday delivery. Oh and by the way if you want wood to go around a corner this the place not a straight piece in the delivery. NEVER AGAIN Also in the garden center get the gentlemen in the wheelchair, he has forgot more than the the rest of the crack staff knows. I feel like this Home Depot has a limited selection of items -- which sometimes be good if you get overwhelmed with home reno like I do! But also I went there for xmas decorations and thought their selection was pretty limited. Some of the plants in their garden section are in poor condition. Customer service is average at best. Long time customer of this location, I'll be going to a different store from now on. I've witnessed Julien Chavez and another employee Fred be extremely rude to females in the store on numerous occasions. I have spoken to the managers in the past, and I'm always surprised that they are still working there. Some of the other employees are very thoughtful and professional. Bryan in Appliances helped me today with my fridge purchase. He was very funny and courtesy. I felt like a real person and not just a regular customer that employees wish would go away. When I told him I was new to Phoenix, he even took the time to tell me about new places in the area that I might want to check out. I appreciated that a lot. In the paint department; I was only able to get a few scrapes of paint from my wall that I wanted color matched. There gentlemen helping me was also very friendly and despite the itty bitty scrapings, he was still able to match my paint. Without a doubt the worst customer service of any home improvement store I have been to. I needed a piece of plywood cut and I sought out an employee for help, he said to go back by the saw and he would send someone back there to help me. I waited while watching 2 employees in the lumber department standing there talking to each other ignoring me. After 10 minutes I went back to the front of the store and asked at the contractors checkout for some help. Finally one of the 2 employees who had been standing there talking got the call and came to help. I went to the customer s et vice desk and stood for 5 minutes while everyone there tried not to make eye contact. Finally they acknowledged me and called for the manager who never showed up so I left. 20 minutes to get 1 sheet of plywood that I walked in and picked out within a minute. We went to Best Buy & Lowe's looking for a new fridge before coming here on a whim. We waited 15 mins for help at Best Buy & no one ever came so we left. At Lowe's there wasn't much of a selection & didn't get any help. We stopped by here at Home Depot & as soon as we approached the fridges in Appliances we were immediately were greeted by Brian. He asked if we needed help. Thankfully he gave us good information & now know what we have to do before we buy a new fridge. If it weren't for Brian we probably would have dropped over $2000 on a fridge that might not work for our kitchen. First, I have to start out by saying that I LOVE The Home Depot app!! We have a bunch of house projects happening right now and the app has made it so easy to search + save the things that I like so that when we go to the store, we know exactly where to go! In this case, the bathroom faucets that we wanted were sold out online and when I checked nearby stores, this Thunderbird location was the only place that HAD THEM in the Valley!! YAY! The app made it so easy to locate them. We had a very pleasant experience at this store! Everyone was super friendly (especially the checkout gals who tried to make our screaming 2 year old smile). We got 4 Kohler bathroom faucets, a kitchen faucet, and 3 new toilet seats (my husband is thrilled...ha!)! They had everything that we came for and we left super happy and excited about our purchases. I'd recommend this location! Their garden center/flowers looked AMAZING as well! I wish that it were closer to home because their garden center definitely look healthier and better than our location. Same goes for their indoor plants; they had a wonderful selection! read more

This is my go to Home Depot! I drive pass Lowe's on my way here because HD at least at this location is consistent with their customer service, available stock and pricing. The employees are generally nice and willing to help you and answer any questions that you may have. Checking out is a breeze when their self check out registers are available but rarely does check out take longer than five minutes. The parking lot is very tight and cluttered near the front so be careful when driving because between that and the customers it can be hard to navigate but I never really had a problem. read more

I went straight for my wire first thing and Geoffrey helped me get exactly what I needed and was very friendly and respectful towards me as a customer. Fantastic Home Depot with exceptional staff! I went to the North Phoenix location with a particularly thorny problem - a weed trimmer that was badly jammed and looked like a goner. Ron from the Garden section listened patiently and was very willing to help and got Drew from Rentals involved to help solve the problem. The teamwork was impressive. They then gave me helpful advice on products to buy and actions to take to avoid a recurrence. I've been to a different location where employees do their best to avoid eye contact. I've visited this location several times and found it to be better in terms of helpful employees. Floyd who has worked for Home Depot for something like 22 years was more then helpful each time in not just telling me which item was where but walking with me to retrieve as well as answer any questions I might have. He uses a walking stick but moves at a good pace. He had helped me locate the items I was looking for on several visits. While visiting this time as well I had Lee in the storm door department discuss options for colors, etc. As people started to line up asking for help we cut our conversation short but I felt he gave me great info to consider. After working with Floyd, then Lee I headed to the outdoor lighting department and had a young lady approach me there who was very helpful. I didn't catch her name But also in the outdoor furniture section I was able to ask some questions there with another set of ladies. I stood in line which didn't take long at all to check out with my items. I hate self checkout, Keep people employed, give great customer service! It really is that simple. read more

Walked in here to get some pool supplies and i got more than that! I got some solid advice and great customer service! Its a shame that i didnt catch the guys name hut he was an older gentleman seemed like a SME or lead because he was leading people on what needed to be done with the new product coming in but he was absolutely amazing! He gave me advice on how to first start up my pool and the supplies i would need. He helped me grab everything off the shelves. He easily made home depot a $150 sell with all the stuff i needed to get for my pool. I came here to buy some piping for a remodel that we were doing in my sister's bathroom and they did not really have a lot of stuff that we were looking for. I'm in the middle of having a new kitchen installed by Home Depot. This process has been nothing short of a nightmare!!! I paid for my cabinets in November 2020, they were delivered January 4, 2020. Unfortunately the warehouse mislabeled one cabinet so it had to be rushed to my house for the cabinet inspection. The installation took place on January 6, 2021 and it was discovered Home Depot failed to place the order for a base cabinet so the remainder of the kitchen installation is on hold. I called Home Depot & sent emails - no return calls or response to my emails. The Home Depot rep was off several days I called again, he informed me that the missing cabinet was lost at the warehouse. I called the cabinet company and they informed the cabinet was never ordered and Home Depot had placed the order that week. The estimated date for the missing cabinet is now January 27th but they can't send it directly to my house so who knows when it will arrive. Due to Home Depots mistake my kitchen is missing a cabinet, baseboards, and toe boards. The installers also failed to put a hole in cabinet above range for vent in attic, they also said the box labeled base boards and toe boards were extra parts and told me I could return them for cash back. I told the installer I did not pay for extra parts, they're pieces that need to be installed! The installers also left extra holes in the walls & new cabinets. Without the completion of the cabinet installation I can't get my countertop or sink. Without sink I can't install new plumbing or dishwasher. It's sad we live in times where big companies charge a lot of money and have no concern for their customers. If you're looking to remodel your kitchen my advice would be look elsewhere or find a house with a kitchen you like. read more
