I often go to Home Depot, I almost always find my way around, rarely have to ask for assistance. Recently I went to the Home Depot in Yorba Linda, about 1 mile from my house. I was looking for replacement screws and asked for assistance to find the correct size and function that I needed. After receiving help I made my purchase, came home and of course they didn't work, went back a second time and same thing. Today I decided that I would go to the Home Depot in Orange to see if I would have better luck, DIANE in the hardware section helped me out, she was KIND, knowledgeable, patient and took her time to help me... I would like to give her a shout out!!! after several failed attempts and people that obviously had no clue what they were doing. I came across this gem of an employee thank you Diane for saving me one more trip to Home Depot. Even though I live right down the street from the Home Depot in Yorba Linda, I will not be going there anymore. I will venture to the city of Orange where the staff is knowledgeable. I was happy that I was able to work on the weekend because most Roof suppliers are closed on the weekend but not Home Depot. This Home Depot has hired very useless employees, lazy, and arrogant. The employee named Albert (black hair looks like he hasn't showered in days or has had a trim) refused to service my worker wanting to rent out a machine. He was extremely rude and lazy did not want to help just because it was going to take longer. We waste thousands every week and have never encountered a rude and extremely useless employee. Albert needs more training or more customer service skill, along with a bath and possibly new clothes. Hopefully Albert can get his stuff together (yes I said it nicely for the sake of this review). If not, Albert can gladly be replaceable. read more

He spent about 30 minutes helping me find the exact lumber I needed and walked me through all the measurements for my project. Raul also showed me how to build a door frame using the kit I had, made sure I had all the necessary hardware, and even recommended the right screws--which worked perfectly. He went above and beyond, taking the time to make sure I had everything I needed to get the job done right. His knowledge, patience, and people skills really stood out. We went to the self check out and one of the plants I had did not have a price tag on it They were four people standing at the self check out doing nothing just standing and looking at each other pretty much being idle When I told them the price and that it did not have a price tag, they wanted me to go all the way back and get another item with the price tag They refused to go and help me because apparently they were "stationed" and could not leave their "station" Four people standing there doing nothing and refused to help me They acted like they were stationed at Homeland security protecting the nations border Pathetic!!! I showed her what I was looking for, she tried to convince me what she was showing me was the same thing in my picture and treated me like I was stupid. So, Home Depot is pretty much the 'go-to' spot when you're working around the house and you need *fill in the blank* for the project you're working on - next to Ace Hardware which is a much smaller scale, and where you'll have less choices of the item you may be looking for -- and Home Depot knows that, so the customer service suffers at times. They really don't need to have their A-game on for customer service because you're going to go there whether they greet you with a smile or not. And it's getting tougher to find someone to ask questions. I've found that at Ace, they're a very smaller scale store and they appreciate your business and are more than happy to assist you and even provide their input if you need it. So 3 stars to Home Depot for always having what I need and for letting me take my dogs in shopping with me - and for always having a great selection of plants - but minus a couple of stars for the customer service, or lack thereof! read more

Absolutely AMAZING service. Diane in the tool rental center went above and beyond for us. I came in not knowing what drain cleaner would be best for my kitchen pipes and Diane was nice enough to give different options (some cheaper and more efficient than others) and give step by step instructions and tips on how to use the 75ft x 1/2 drain cleaner. I also believe she said she's been doing her own plumbing for 35 years! Which is very cool and overall trustworthy, thank you Diane! read more

Home Depot has a great variety of DIY products. If you need plumbing, electrical, hardware or gardening supplies, Home Depot is a great one stop place to shop. Their prices are very competitive. I especially like their home paint products. The store is well organized and clean. The issue is trying to get assistance if you have a question. It can be difficult to chase someone down in the aisles for help. read more

Writing this review because the help I got from MARCO in the garden department was outstanding. He lifted heavy soil bags and the 3 large strawberry trees I was purchasing onto my cart. He located items for me and price matched them. He helped me drive my overloaded cart out to my truck and then he helped me load and settle everything into my truck! What a guy! read more

5 stars for Judy at the customer service desk. Let's face it, the Home Depot App doesn't work very well. I had an order that was partially ready. I was prompted by the app to pick it up before it gets sent back to the dark ether where hardware goes to rest. Crap customer service!!! Bought an easy up canopy. Opened box to find it was a retread missing most of the components (the tarp was most notably missing). Called store twice. Both times was a useless little girl (by sound of voice) with no customer service skills. Had to drive back to store and they tried extremely hard to replace and not refund.
