I had home Depot in Maple Grove replace my kitchen with new cabinets. The kitchen was cleaned and totally ready for their install. They assured me they could handle everything except for the hood installation which I had done by another professional that had to come back multiple times because of Home Depot's errors. I have been involved in dozens of kitchen remodels and I can tell you Home Depot and they're vendors failed multiple times on everything single thing they coordinated and were responsible for. Here's a small list of what went wrong: cabinet finish and size specifications, hardware workability and specifications, multiple site measurements, cabinet install, countertop install, plumbing install (flooding the room below because they didn't turn off the water line), trying to fix said flooding, backsplash install, caulking, electrical outlet moving multiple times, cabinet orders, multiple wrong material deliveries, multiple material retrieval and pickup without freight lists, door and drawer alignment, broken appliances, misalignment of cabinets, counters, and drawer pulls, ordering delays, cabinet parts still in my garage, multiple sets of cabinets filling up my house for months without picking up the extras, and weeks and months to return calls. It's now been over a year and it is not only still not corrected, they are not responding to my inquiries. I had to pay to eat out every meal for months because of their delays. Oh and by the way, the credit card with their name and logo on it, they claim no responsibility or control. Their incompetence cost me significantly and now they just won't even respond. I would never buy another install of anything from Home Depot, ever. This was the easiest of projects and they couldn't even handle that. Just say no to Home Depot. read more

In the northwest metro we have a problem with home stores. I have been to all three variations Lowe's, Menards and Home Depot and when you are looking for something specific that might be tougher than a simple home repair you want to get some help and advice. My experience here has been the staff are hard to find, I have twice bought items that weren't correct for the replacement part needed with specifications provided and many times feel like the workers don't care. I am certain some customers are rude, I am not! I am certain some are entitled, certain rings in the metro have abundance of those people, I am not! I simply want good customer service. After this last trip and having a repeat performance on assistance I was hassled exiting the store by someone trying to peddle additional products: I'm amazed these big stores stay in business. read more

My family and I are NOT happy campers. All was going well until install Friday by Crew2. Home Depot came out and measured, quoted, & sold carpet in 2 rooms and 2 sets of stairs in my home. They already have my money, now I need to wait another 2 weeks + to have it finished because the measurement was off. This was ONLY found when the carpet was ripped up with new tack strips and metal plating was put down. We have to live with tack strips and just a pad down for 2-3 weeks where my wife runs an at home daycare. Then there is my dog, cat, & my own children who could hurt themselves. NOT COOL! Lisa from Home Depot Maple Grove, MN called me & told me this is the ONLY thing she can do. I have to wait for a new measurement Monday then order the carpet which is up to 2 weeks out. Then schedule another install. This is a JOKE. I expected a call and compensation for this BIG inconvenience & oversight on Home Depots part, nothing. I have to move all furniture 4 times now as the installers were not much help. I have people coming over for an NFL Vikings game next weekend and NO CARPET just dangerous spikes coming out of the floor. Thanks Home Depot! You may want to measure yourself &/or verify they have the right size before they rip out your old carpet OR JUST RUN AWAY from them completely!!!! read more

I frequent this Home Depot 1-4 times per week. Every single staff member is highly knowledgeable in nearly every department. Since I am there so often, most of the employees recognize me and ask me how my specific projects are coming along. The only reason I don't give this Home Depot 5 stars, is because it is a D-Level Home Depot. The Home Depot in Elk River is an A-Level, and massively larger, but farther away. Also, their Home Depot app is SO accurate, that the employees use it as well to check stock. I can look up any item in the store, and immediately see how many they have in stock, and exactly where it is in the store...even seeing a map, from my phone. I am extremely disappointed in the inconsistent customer service. Many associates are excellent, but during the last year I have had several negative experiences. I've twice had associates walk away when I asked them where something was located. I was looking for a certain type of dirt, and the associate told me, that's what we have, and 'dirt is dirt'. (Your website said it was in stock). Today I went to checkout a product at customer service because it was marked down because it had been used. The associate told me to take it to the checkout area. He was sorting something. I explained why I was at the customer service desk and he told me to 'wait in line'. He then when on with his uncustomer related task. The place is a graveyard. There is literally not more than 4 people there at any given time - I love this about the Maple Grove location. The salespeople are very knowledgeable. They are sometimes hard to track down (usually because some pseudo-DIY type is monopolizing their time with his dim-bulb questions). The selection is comparable to Lowe's and their prices are cheaper (though, not as cheap at Menard's... but that place is a lower rung of hell). We've made many purchaes there (from light bulbs to snow blowers to grills). It's convenient and will meet your home-improvement needs. read more

We ordered carpet from Home Depot, Maple Grove. They hire Crew 2 to do their carpet installation. Our carpet was supposed to be installed 5/27/21. When nobody showed up I called to see where they were and was told the installation had been canceled. We were never contacted about the cancellation. Nobody called to reschedule it so I called again and was told it would be installed 6/16/21. When nobody showed I called and was told they couldn't find the carpet. Within a half hour I was called and told they found the carpet but it wouldn't be installed because the installers didn't have it with them in their truck. I was then told the installation would happen 6/21/21. I was called that morning and was asked if our carpet was already installed. I told them I was expecting someone between 8:00 - 10:00. I told Crew 2 I expected it to be installed that day. When nobody showed up, I called three different numbers and was only able to leave messages. Nobody returned my call. I called and spoke with a manager at Home Depot and was told we would receive a full refund. Crew 2 gets an F- from me. Home Depot gets 2 stars because they work with Crew 2. I have seen MANY negative comments about Crew 2. The manager was very gracious about the refund but they shouldn't hire such dysfunctional sub-contractors. We will never order anything from Home Depot again that needs to be installed. They hire Crew 2 for several different kinds of home remodeling jobs. KS read more

Why do I go to Home depot? That is a good question. They are overpriced and have a slim selection. About the only positive thing I can think of it that their stores are well organized. It is easy to find everything you're looking for. Also the lumber is not that great and I find myself picking through it just to get a couple pieces of straight intact wood. To give an example of how overpriced they are, I recently compared their moving platform rollers with Menards. Home depot came in at $30, where Menard's sells the exact same one for $20. That's quite a mark up. I'd rather spend that extra $10 on some refreshing cold beverages at the local pub. read more

I guess I'm in the minority but, every time I go here, I find what I want and I literally know everyone in each department. This weekend I took advantage of an offer and spent more time with new people. Kati I assume is one of the best customer service people I have ever met. Knowledgeable accommodating with good communication is extraordinarily hard to find. She does it right with a touch of humble. Dave in the Rental office was incredible. Took him a couple minutes to sell me for life. Yes I will still buy power tools but now I can rent the big stuff and not have to store it year round. Dave doesn't have many stars on his apron but he is an alright guy with me. I will have all my online orders and shopping at this store. read more

I like the selection, the nice wide aisles, and the acres of parking. Less expensive than Lowes and less cramped than Menards or Fleet Farm. I like the indoor lumber yard (lumber stored outdoors tends to warp) though sometimes you need to hunt to find straight 2x4s. There seems to be semi-long lines at the checkouts, but at least they added self-checkout lines which seem to speed things up. The people are always friendly! read more

I really like my Home Depot Store in Maple Grove. I always walk out with more then I came to buy. Great selection of product and they are dog friendly. You can bring your pet to Home Depot if he's well behaved so I bring my German Shepherd and he loves to greet people and walk the store. Not to mention decided to help someone else while helping me even though it was clear speed was imperative. This review applies to the tool rental/tool repair area of the store. I dropped off a floor sander on 09/20/2014 with a man named K (for privacy). The floor sander was not working. It was a previously Home Depot owned floor sander that Home Depot advised they could repair. I was not given a time frame for said repair (rotary drum was not functioning). K advised me he would call me if they price was over $100 and see what I, as the customer, wanted to do. He also advised if they price was under $100, they would just fix and call me when finished One week passed and I called on 09/27/2014 asking for a status. I spoke with someone who handed the phone to K and I was told the problem has been narrowed down to two possibilities, but it is going to take until the end of the week to finish. I expressed my understanding, thanked, and hung up. Two weeks later (10/11/2014) I called once more for a status update. I spoke with an "O (for privacy)" who knew about the situation with the floor sander and handed the phone to K. K advised me the issue was with the motor (which he told me three weeks ago) and or a capacitor issue (also advised three weeks ago). He advised me that day that he would get right on it. I asked if there was anything I could do to help. He advised, "No." It is now 10/19/2014 and I have not heard hide nor hair from anybody. Not once have I been contacted. I was not given any piece of paper for my own records. I was not given an email receipt option. I dropped this piece of equipment off in full confidence the problem would be resolved in a timely manner. Plan of action from here: I am calling on 10/20/2014 for a status (K's hours, from what I'm aware is Tues-Sat). I expect a response and a price (a considerably discounted price at this point). If no price, or an unacceptable price is given to me, I will be coming into the store on 10/25/2014. I will speak to a manager only and expect an outcome. I'm very disappointed in the tool rental/tool repair service during these last four weeks. read more

Staff treated me like garbage over a couple returns. I am in daily to several home depot. I then after got treated extremely rude by the return team went and spent another 300.00 on more products. I will never go back to this dump of a home depot. Plumbing staff knows nothing on weekday nights! The thing that irritates me is they have the nerve to basically start talking about me the minute I walked away. Well here is my first negative post about Home Depot, which I have enjoyed for a long time doing business with. 2 carpet installs, 1 flooring, dishwasher install, plus much more in the last 2 years. I spent close to $1,000 dollars on a brand new Cub Cadet Snow Blower on 10-20-2013. The unit worked for exactly 15 minutes and broke on the first major snowfall (belt broke.) After 15-20 minutes on the phone with the Monticello MN manager Brett, he finally said to bring it and and he would have his asst manager look at it. I brought it and the asst manager was very helpfull (took it all apart himself) to find out that it was a manufacturer defect, he could not "fix" it at his location. He then called to Home Depots service center in Maple Grove Mn to try and get a rush on it and was told they could handle it. So I drove thirty miles to drop it off, remember in MN it snows often (shoveled driveway twice since it broke.) The Maple Grove Location said they would look at it soon and give me a call in the next couple of days. 4 days later, no phone call, no nothing. I was informed when I dropped it off that they do not know if they are authorized "Cub Cadet" warranty facility and may have to be shipped and it could take 5-6 weeks. I was informed that I can not bring the unit back because it was past the 30 day return by 15 days. I would not recomend purchasing any large equipment from Home Depot, purchase it at an authorized Cub Cadet dealer with an authorized service dept. It wouldn't have been that much more and they would have been able to take care of the customer. Come on $1000 for 15 minutes and then a possible 5-6 week wait in MN durring the snowiest time of the year. Poor - Poor customer service. read more

My experience with Home Depot was not great. The worse part was being lied to in the store about the credit. Our floors and counters were put on as separate 6 month no interest purchases rather than the 12 month no interest we were promised. Home Depot refused to fix this until I asked for help canceling my project and all of sudden it was no problem to change! The person they sent out to measure my floors was at my place for less than 5 minutes. I expressed concern and was assured this was normal. Then when floor install day came they had not sent enough material for our transition pieces, probably because they didn't bother measuring properly. We had special ordered our color and the store really didn't care and just expected us to take a piece that was close enough. I spent a lot of money to end up with a "close enough" match because of your error! The only good part of this experience was with the contractor company they use in our area, Crew 2. The contractors were professional and knowledgable and are the reason our project turned out in the end. read more
