Jerry's for the win, again! They have now helped me with TWO seasonal needs…read more First, they are where I found the cheesecloth that I desperately needed for my Halloween costume. It was exactly right for my purposes. I am absolutely going to use it again the next time that I need to see out of a mask. Ten/ten recommend. Second, they are my go-to for winter insulation. I love my louvered porch windows in the summer--they are great for getting the air flowing. In winter? Somewhat less enamored. My porch gets cold, which means my living room can be a bit more invigorating than ideal. I always know that I can go to Jerry's to pick up window insulating kits that will help seal the cracks and keep me cozy. Good prices and some of the most helpful and courteous staff in town--this is a truly awesome neighborhood resource.

So, we knew that we needed something more powerful. We were greeted by a friendly guy when we entered the store and he directed us to the section where we'd peruse the drain cleaner options. We decided on the "professional strength crystals" and headed out. The young man who rung us up was also friendly and asked if we'd found everything that we needed. We did. Will be back if we have a need and are in the area. We were on our way back home from a movie at AMC Southdale.

What sets this location apart is the staff. Every salesperson I spoke with had real hands-on experience in woodworking. It's refreshing and reassuring to talk to people who've actually used the tools and techniques themselves. They've made the mistakes, learned the tricks, and are happy to share that practical wisdom. The team is also impressively knowledgeable about the nuances of the equipment they sell. Whether you're asking about routers, lathes, or the latest in joinery gadgets, they can break down the pros and cons of each option with insight you won't get from just reading product specs online. That kind of expertise is priceless when you're making a tool investment. As you can see from my photos, the store is well-stocked with a wide range of tools, hardware, jigs, and supplies for all skill levels. And if they don't have something on hand, the staff is quick to check their comprehensive catalog.

First time visit, great experience - 4 stars!…read more I needed professional advice and paint for some unfinished plywood floors. I could have driven a few hundred feet away to Home Depot or Menards. But I went to Sherwin Williams to speak with some pros. Sherwin Williams didn't disappoint! To say these folks know all about paint is an understatement. I got WAY more useful info than I would have received at a big box store. Both dudes were friendly and patient. They spent a lot of time answering my amateur questions. BTW, they had my paint colored and mixed in 3 minutes flat! No waiting in line or hunting for an associate...like I've suffered through many, many times at the Home Depot next door. I ended up buying some high end deck paint. I also doubled checked price comps at Home Depot. From what I can tell as a layman, Sherwin Williams is definitely priced very, very similar to the big box guys. Plus, I saved an additional 10% by establishing an account. Thanks, Sherwin Williams! - Maxx
