Cyrus was so responsive to every email as I needed more info on the rug, and even spent time with me on the phone to discuss cutting and shipping details. It arrived super timely, and it's perfect!! Well done and beautiful!!! Definitely recommend!!

Is it necessary to get a pad for my rug?

Hello, Valeri- It is not necessary to have a pad under a handmade wool area rug. The rug protects the floor, and the floor won't harm the rug. It is helpful to have a pad… Read more

How can I tell if it’s time to get a new rug?

A rug’s lifespan greatly depends on its fabric, construction, and use. If your rug is made of good quality textile and was handwoven by expert artisans, it’s expected to last many decades. However, if you have a machine-woven rug made of synthetic… Read more

I came in specifically to look at Joybird sofas as they are an authorized retailer and have sofas on the sales floor. Its scary to make an online purchase (and such a large, custom purchase) without touching and feeling an item, so I was thrilled to learn this store was so close to home and had what I was looking to purchase. I had a great time working with Kristin. After countless emails and a couple visits to the store I ordered my sofa, and also ended up with a chair and lamp. Kristin was great to offer her designer opinion while listening to mine and helping me make the big decision based on my existing home design. They offer financing (OAC) and 'white glove' delivery (they take all the packaging stuff with them when they leave, set the item in the room of your choosing) just like Joybird, but they will for other items you purchase there, too. The kicker is the 2 week in home trial period. Keep it for two weeks and if you decide you hate it they will take it back to the store and offer you store credit to replace the item. This really eased my worry about spending 2K on a sofa I may not like as much in person. I can't wait until it arrives! They also have home decor items here, like pillows and lamps. Its a super fun place to just look around and get inspiration, or fall in love with a custom fox lamp which would totally look amazing on your nightstand. Or maybe that fun mounted anatomical model of a heart on your desk. Or maybe that chair with acrylic arms. You get the idea... Inventory is changing constantly, so visit often. See you there!

I immediately knew I was going to be at home in this store. There was furniture and accessories, for you neutral people there was plenty of that. For those of us who like color, plenty of that too. My designer Billie was super sweet and let me browse but also let me know that anything can be custom ordered and that this is just a small sampling of what they can get for me. I wasn't sure if I could afford it so I had her price out a chair for me it was $1100 but they had a 20% off sale so it would be $880. I'm new to furniture shopshopping so I went to another store later (La-Z-Boy) and it was comparable to that. I walked in at 20 minutes to closing on a Sunday night, but Billie didn't seem rushed at all. I was the one saying "let's just wrap this up. Can you give me something to look at online?" And she gave me two websites she thought I would like based on our conversations and looking at what they have to offer. I will see where our furniture shopping journey takes me but I plan to be back!

Should I even be writing this review?…read more Unique furniture finds. Think modern + country farm + vintage + West Elm + Pottery Barn + Anthropologie. I found a set of beautiful drawers I wanted -- it was refinished with a delicate layer of paint and new round wooden knobs, but it was already sold. I was even more disappointed when I saw that it was only $189. :'( For now, Piccadilly Prairie is only open a few days a month. See website for hours. Keep it a half-secret. Sshhhh. Wow, this review hurts....but...must...share. --- 9/23/2011 Today I found a neat vintage fire extinguisher lamp! Siouxzi was very helpful and she noticed the way I notice things. She got a good sense of what kind of interior styles I was into and pointed out things I might like in the store. Oh, and Siouxzi also plugged in a lamp every time I said one looked interesting. She also said she could re-finish a framed chalkboard for an extra $5-10. Sweet!

I also like when the Christmas displays come around. So many things to look at. I feel like they usually have coupons or deals via the rewards system which is cool. I really had no idea what to expect, but as soon as I walked thru the door, was a cart with coffee and tea offerings. I tried both which they were lukewarm (not surprised as this was evening time when I was in there), but the tea was tasty. Then I went in browsing the store myself. There were sections with Christmas related merchandise and just other merchandise. I naturally gravitated towards the stationary/book section-- lots of offerings there. The food/drink sections were huge. Lots of items to explore including international items as well. I thought that was very neat. I briefly looked at the jewelry/aromatherapy section. I found a few pieces of jewelry I'd wear, super cute! Lastly, I headed over to the kitchen section. Found some really cool plates and other kitchen items. I do have to say I was a little disappointed that I passed 3 employees during my visit and not one even acknowledged me. I thought that was very strange and unacceptable. You should say hello to customers when they visit the store. Customer service skills are a large part of customer satisfaction and help decide if the customer will be returning or not. Overall, my first time here was enjoyable and glad I stopped in to check it out. I' think if/when I'm in the area I'll stop back in to see what new goodies they have that time around. I do have to share, I appreciate how bright, spacious, and neatly organized this store is.
