There were sections with Christmas related merchandise and just other merchandise. I naturally gravitated towards the stationary/book section-- lots of offerings there. The food/drink sections were huge. Lots of items to explore including international items as well. I thought that was very neat. I briefly looked at the jewelry/aromatherapy section. I found a few pieces of jewelry I'd wear, super cute! Lastly, I headed over to the kitchen section. Found some really cool plates and other kitchen items. I do have to say I was a little disappointed that I passed 3 employees during my visit and not one even acknowledged me. I thought that was very strange and unacceptable. You should say hello to customers when they visit the store. Customer service skills are a large part of customer satisfaction and help decide if the customer will be returning or not. Overall, my first time here was enjoyable and glad I stopped in to check it out. I' think if/when I'm in the area I'll stop back in to see what new goodies they have that time around. I spent over 2 1/2 hours sifting through what appeared to be a very large selection of rugs, only to learn once I narrowed down my search to my top 3 choices, two of those three were no longer available to order (but still in the showroom as available samples). I moved on from my rug to choose my custom couch. The order was entered so I assumed all was good - yay! Nope! One week after ordering, I received a phone call stating the material I chose was no longer available and I needed to make another selection - which also meant changing my four accent pillows and returning the rug that I had purchased elsewhere. Lastly, our recliners were standard (non-custom) orders. We were given a delivery date of up to 12-15 weeks out! Because we were exhausted in this purchasing process, we agreed. Now, here I am....15 weeks out with no update. I called to check on the status of our order, only to learn it has been pushed out another 6-8 weeks - for STANDARD recliners! Prepare yourself for what appears to be great variety and selection in their showroom, but then learning, it really isn't an option, as well as 5-6 months to get your order! If we weren't already months into this process, I would cancel for sure!

Wow, they really screwed us over. We paid a lot for this POS; the frame broke, ALL THE CUSHIONS AND PILLOWS went FLAT, the fabric is scratchy, (they talked us out of a different fabric because it would take up to 6-7 months to receive said couch, not to mention that the original couch we initially picked was a complete different layout etc. We went to the salesman to purchase "our dream couch" and come to fond out after 20-30 minutes it was unavailable because it had a wrong display marker). We had to start all over again, after hours of deciding. (We live almost two hours away, work weekdays, and it was during Covid. We wound up picking this POS for over 3500. We desperately needed new nice furniture, and this is what we got. Huge disappointment. We splurged, all we got was this POS, horrible and rude customer service, no resolutions.

Josh was our salesperson, and was tireless, knowledgeable, and patient in working out different options and educating us about the pros and cons. We did some comparison shopping. BCO's good pricing, their responsiveness and promptness, and them doing their own work (not subcontracting) were compelling, so we went with them. After we ordered the work, BCO was able to put the job on schedule within days. The BCO installers accidentally installed the vinyl plank in the wrong area. This error also led to some other issues. When BCO realized this, it immediately acknowledged its error and responsibility, and worked to correct as soon as it could. The BCO installers were back the next day to start addressing the issues, and Eric and another employee even visited the job after their workdays, just to evaluate and determine solutions. Matt (general manager) got involved at the end to make sure that we were satisfied with the resolution. (We were!) However careful a company is, some type of error will happen sometime to that company - that's a fact of life. How the company - and the people at the company - respond sets the great ones apart. And Bloomington Carpet One, through its actions and the actions of its employees, clearly distinguishes itself as a great company!

John discussed making things right, however we were well past the point of allowing for this to continue and paid for a different contractor to finish the remaining rework. I visited Macy's Furniture Gallery IN-PERSON because it listed the items we wanted as being in stock and I didn't want to go through the mess of delivery. We got there and they - surprise - did not have the items stocked. We ordered two basic box springs and a bed frame. What unfolded over the course of the next two months were multiple scheduled deliveries that did not happen, no communication that they weren't happening, me having to follow up every time bc they were marked as "delivered" and them eventually delivering half the items on a day I had not selected or approved and wasn't home. I followed up about the missing bed frame, which was marked delivered, and they asked if I wanted a refund or a "redelivery". When I asked if they could provide an ETA on when we'd receive it, they said they had no idea. I opted for the refund, for my sanity, which they said would process in 20 days. 20 days for a refund seems excessive? Bottom line, it's so infuriating to deal with all of this for a basic box spring and bed frame. That you pay extra for to have delivered. I will never patronize Macy's again and will encourage every I know to do the same. What an absolutely hellish, soul sucking experience.
