Home goods has almost anything you will need. We came looking for a planting pot, which they had a small selection of. I had forgotten my tape measure however, I asked an employee if he had one and he was extremely helpful even going to find his for me.

The selection at this HG, I would argue, is better than most others I've been to. The products just look newer, cleaner and they seem to have better variety. Definitely worth stopping at if you have any home related needs.

In the ever-popular Edina shopping real estate in Centennial Lakes, they crammed a Home Goods into the already tight shopping center. Be prepared: parking is a nightmare! Thank goodness I can walk over here from the condo, but it's not safe walking in the parking lot either. Some of the other businesses welcomed Home Goods because it increased traffic to Centennial Lakes, but they already have that thanks to Whole Foods. I finally went into Home Goods last week, and all I have to say is 'Meh'. It's a step down from Marshall's and T. J. Maxx in my opinion (and I know they are all part of the same company). Nothing really jumped out at me as a deal, nor was anything a 'must have'. I guess I should be happy about that. If I don't set foot into this store again, it wouldn't be the end of the world. At least it's as clean as you can be for a store who tries to cram as much as they can on the shelves. I just don't like shopping like that. So for those people who thrive on shopping at these kinds of discount stores, it's all yours. Go for it.

First lets talk about location...its pretty great, not too far off Hwy 100 and Excelsior…read more There are plenty of other stores in the area, but they have their own parking lot so you don't have to try to scavenge for street parking. I came in specifically to look at Joybird sofas as they are an authorized retailer and have sofas on the sales floor. Its scary to make an online purchase (and such a large, custom purchase) without touching and feeling an item, so I was thrilled to learn this store was so close to home and had what I was looking to purchase. I had a great time working with Kristin. After countless emails and a couple visits to the store I ordered my sofa, and also ended up with a chair and lamp. Kristin was great to offer her designer opinion while listening to mine and helping me make the big decision based on my existing home design. They offer financing (OAC) and 'white glove' delivery (they take all the packaging stuff with them when they leave, set the item in the room of your choosing) just like Joybird, but they will for other items you purchase there, too. The kicker is the 2 week in home trial period. Keep it for two weeks and if you decide you hate it they will take it back to the store and offer you store credit to replace the item. This really eased my worry about spending 2K on a sofa I may not like as much in person. I can't wait until it arrives! They also have home decor items here, like pillows and lamps. Its a super fun place to just look around and get inspiration, or fall in love with a custom fox lamp which would totally look amazing on your nightstand. Or maybe that fun mounted anatomical model of a heart on your desk. Or maybe that chair with acrylic arms. You get the idea... Inventory is changing constantly, so visit often. See you there!

I immediately knew I was going to be at home in this store. There was furniture and accessories, for you neutral people there was plenty of that. For those of us who like color, plenty of that too. My designer Billie was super sweet and let me browse but also let me know that anything can be custom ordered and that this is just a small sampling of what they can get for me. I wasn't sure if I could afford it so I had her price out a chair for me it was $1100 but they had a 20% off sale so it would be $880. I'm new to furniture shopshopping so I went to another store later (La-Z-Boy) and it was comparable to that. I walked in at 20 minutes to closing on a Sunday night, but Billie didn't seem rushed at all. I was the one saying "let's just wrap this up. Can you give me something to look at online?" And she gave me two websites she thought I would like based on our conversations and looking at what they have to offer. I will see where our furniture shopping journey takes me but I plan to be back!

We had 3 dance parties in the private bathrooms because she just couldn't get enough. Food wise- it's ok. You can't go wrong with burrata. The lobster roll was a little disappointing. A smallish roll with a bit of lobster resting on the top. Sides are a la cart. I forget which steak we ordered but it was decent. It was cooked nicely and had good flavor. The menu is half fancy half diner. You can get a burger and chocolate chip cookies or steak and affogato. The value is in the aesthetics and not the food. Don't expect the best meal of your life or you'll be disappointed. Catch the sunset for a lovely glow around the fountain and chandeliers.

The RH store downstairs is beautiful -- thoughtfully staged showrooms with on-trend furniture, flattering lighting, and aspirational everything. Upstairs, though, feels curiously drab by comparison: gray floors, gray seating, chandeliers with fake plastic candles, large fake trees that scream "mall atrium," and marble tables permanently covered in water stains. For a company that trades in curated aesthetics, the restaurant is joyless, even tacky. The menu doesn't redeem it. The cheapest glass of cabernet is $25 -- from a Robert Hall bottle you can buy at Total Wine for fifteen to twenty bucks. I wish I were joking. This glass of wine set the tone for pricing untethered from quality. The burger was passable but unremarkable, its patties overcooked and lacking much flavor. The $56 petite filet was the real tragedy: lukewarm upon arrival, burnt around the edges, rare-pushing-raw in the middle, completely flavorless, and shockingly dry. After two tentative bites, I had to set it aside. My dad tried a bite too, and agreed something was wrong with the meat. 30 minutes later, a stomach event proved us both right. The Béarnaise sauce, usually my ride-or-die, arrived broken, watery, and depressing. If this were your first taste of Béarnaise, you'd never order it again. The service was almost as bad as the food. When I told our server something seemed off with the steak, he silently took the plate, avoided eye contact, and walked away. As someone who has worked in a variety of restaurants, that short interaction that lacked any attempt of finding a resolution was the most shocking part of the night. RH built its reputation on staging perfection. Here, that illusion collapses under the weight of overpriced wine, flavorless food, and inattentive service. For a restaurant so heavily invested in appearances, it's astonishing how little care goes into the experience.

Nothing lasts forever... Over 25 years, I've probably spent $20K - $30K on Room & Board furniture,…read morebut that's done now. R&B has essentially decided to end that relationship over an $800 purchase of picture frames that they never delivered. Here's how it went down: In late December, we ordered $800 of photo frames and received an expected availability date of 4 March - 8 March from R&B. Based on their estimate, we planned a trip overseas for early February. On February 6th, with no advanced notice from R&B, we were advised by UPS that the frames had shipped, 2 days before we were scheduled to leave the US. Not wanting my frames to sit on my front porch in the snow for 3 or 4 days, I requested that R&B inform UPS to hold the delivery. That didn't happen. Instead, R&B recalled the order and set up a delivery for March 3rd, again without informing me. When I returned to the US and discovered what they had done, I gave R&B 2 business days to either get the order into UPS' hands or to refund my money. Guess which they chose? R&B essentially helped themselves to an $800, 6 week, loan and in the end, were too lazy to even bother shipping our purchase to us. At every stage they failed to communicate. And if those lapses weren't enough, I had 2 R&B customer service representatives disrespect my disability. (I am severely hearing-impaired, and both R&B reps hung up on me when I instructed them on how they were to communicate so I could understand them--as I am entitled to do under the ADA.) Long-story-short: R&B threw away a 25 year relationship because they're lazy and don't know how to do their jobs. Shop elsewhere. I will.

Despite it being Saturday afternoon (and thus busy), there was ample parking. To add to the positive experience, I was immediately greeted by a helpful employee who directed me to the microplane department, where I found my precious (mini-mandoline). Superb! The clearance department was close by, too, and I found a gorgeous stainless steel bento box (at a great price). My coworkers are going to be so jealous. The final "make for a great experience" happened in hole I was in line to check out--another helpful employee asked if I was going to pay with a card (I was) and offered to check me out right away, so I was in and out as quick as can be. That's not the fault of the workers, but a critique of corporate. Staff was attentive to assist and I didn't feel like I wasn't taken seriously like some higher end store can make you feel, but I think they could perhaps use some coaching on return policy education. I tried to ask why two color ways were considered final sale when one was clearly marked clearance and the other sale. They just kinda waved their hands and said bedding in general is not returnable because they don't know how it's been used, etc. and they would only take it back if it was absolutely folded just the way it arrived and still at the stores discretion. That just put me off because even Target will accept returns for bedding. Just to save everyone the effort, I chatted with customer service and even they had to apologize and correct themselves that only clearance marked items ending in .97 are final sale. Items marked sale are still returnable.
