Everything was very well organized. The website was very helpful. We were looking for a specific product that was not at another Home Depot location (closer to us). The website directed us to this particular location and even had the aisle number on the website too. We found it very quickly and check out was super quick (self-check out). The only thing they need to fix is that one side of the building (outside) was covered in trash, the other side by the flowers was well-taken care of. One side of the building could just use some TLC. Overall, not a bad visit though, they had a lot of product and were very organized inside. read more

I don't go to Home Depot enough to know my way around so I asked an employee who knew exactly where glue was located. This is quite possibly the worst retail and customer service experience I've ever had in my 20 years of shopping. I have never been treated with more disrespect, contempt, and blatant rudeness. I rented a piece of equipment from the apathetic associates in the tool rental center only to get home to discover it didn't work. After wasting an entire day reading instruction manuals, watching YouTube videos, and cleaning the tool, I called the the store only to crudely told to rinse it with water. As I was talking, the associate hung up on me. Two frustrating hours later, I gave up because I was out of time. When I returned the tool to the store, I was dumbfounded to learn they still wanted me to pay for a piece of equipment that was clearly broken. Home Depot, here's how YOU SHOULD HAVE handled a situation like this: 1. Apologize. Or, at least, fake empathy. Say you're sorry this happened. 2. Ask what went wrong and suggest that you can fix it. 3. Try to fix the tool. Call in another employee if one person can't do it. 4. Offer a replacement tool free of charge. Apologize for the inconvenience. 5. Provide a working tool with an extended period of rental time. 6. Smile at the customer. Tell them to call you with any concerns or questions. Imply that you're there to help. Buyer beware--do not rent anything from this store. They do not guarantee the tools will work and certainly do not care when they don't. read more

My 1st time to this location. I couldnt get any help so I went to the Front and ask for a manager or supervisor. The shift supervisor walked me personally to the appliance section that I needed and help me find my part. Then walked me to the front and cast me out closest to my parking area. Horrible customer service. I came in yesterday to look for a washer and dryer. There were two younger girls in the appliance department who saw me but didn't help me until I grabbed another associate who had to tell them to get up and do their jobs. When I asked her about the duo she skipped right over the question to push me into signing up for the credit card. Which I planned on doing if I was going to buy the set. I declined twice then she told me they were out of stock and couldn't ship them until February. Yet the sign clearly said they could be delivered this month. I brought that up to her but she told me it wasn't her job to update the signs and if I didn't like it I could go to Lowe's. She went back to chatting and laughing with her associate instead of offering any back up solutions or helping any of the other customers in the area. The whole experience was very unprofessional and truthfully, I don't know how someone with that bad of an attitude still has a job. This location is God Awful and that's putting it lightly. I love at the end of the night they have the closing roll calls, but when it comes to the "Please assist any customers with their purchases or questions" part.. they seem to just figure standing around at the service desk and grumbling about people still shopping is a more effective route and solution. The only service we had here that was pretty impeccable, was back in appliances when we had to order a new gas range and needed installation. Lowes fails on their installation charges, and HD can't be beat. The girl who helped us was extremely friendly and got us in and out fairly quickly. However, the rest can not be said for the employees of this store. Many associates walked by without asking if we needed help. Many of them when we asked for locations just decided that it'd be best that they point their finger in the direction of said item instead of walking us to it.. (Like their Customer Service training manuals tell them, too.) The cashiers were very complain-ey and yawn-ey. When we asked for assistance in the saw area to get some wood cut.. we were blatantly ignored by the customer service desk. They just totally don't care here. I'm advising the same as other Yelpers... go to Lowe's. Take the extra 5 minutes and drive down 270, because this place doesn't want, and frankly, isn't deserving of your business. Oh and by the way, the range that was installed and purchased from here? It doesn't even work. It has to be swapped out. So perhaps I should have just saved my time and the extra aspirin I had to take for my stress headaches and just went to Lowe's in the first place. CRAP, I say! CRAP!!! read more

I've been here many times since moving into our new house in this area. I usually have no problem finding someone to help with my many questions. The last time I was here, just a few days ago, I was buying PVC tubing and the guy helping me stuck around for over 30 minutes while we debated size/type. They do cut things for you here, but I felt he really went out of his way to do ALL the cutting we needed for our project. I was so pleased with his help! It's not the first time either, in December I went with my fiance to pickup some things and ran into an older man working there who gave us all kinds of information and tips on the in's and out's of our fireplace! To be told that the pro desk closes at 5 , WITH 6 PEOPLE standing there and that they can't help me and that they are waiting to leave and only a flooring person could help me. I mainly shop at the Grove City location, but had to stop at the location off West Broad Street to get a flower arrangement for Mother's Day. I did not go inside this location, I mainly stayed outside in the garden center area. I will say the flowers they had to offer were in good condition; however, I realize the garden center was busy that day, but that is no excuse to not be approached by a sales person. I was walking around aimlessly trying to find a nice arrangement and no one offered to help. They were ready to attend to me when it came time to pay, though. Really great service. Power to the ladies ;D I recently found a vanity for my bathroom at the Home Depot in Canal, a few days ago. I just so happened to be on the west side of town, so figured I'd go to this Depot and purchase that sucker. From the start, we were greeted by a lady. We first headed to the paint section - it's super-awesome close to the front doors. The lady took our sample. She was so polite! While waiting, we decided next to get the vanity and faucet. We found a lady stocking in the aisle over, and she came right away. Man, she new her stuff. Had us clear out of the aisle, got the heavy box down and on a flat cart in no time. Directed us to the faucets so we could get one to match. Headed to the registers. Had to wait a few minutes because there were only two lines open. Rolled up to the register, and this lady was also fantastic! Friendly and personable. Fast. Efficient. Radioed a young man to load the giant box. Her met us out friend. Kind gentleman! We asked a gentleman named Mani for help and WOW he was awesome! He guided us the entire way and not once did he look irritated to help us. He even offered to drive the carts for us!!! Went in to get some paint samples and everyone was nice and happy to help. Did not experience any issues like some reviews state. Those people probably haven't been to a hardware store before. This spot though was easy access to highway, had great hours like all the others, and were sincere. They always have great deals during holidays and I got a lot of paint because of that. If only they would paint my house for me... that would be the best service. Ha. But all in all, it's a hardware store. They have what you need and lots of varieties. Enjoy! read more

I recently had to stop in this store to get a hammer drill and concrete bits, along with a few other things. I had in my cart a $250 drill, several extension cords and a few other items. The drill bit that I needed $24 - was locked on the hook, so I had to go find someone to get it for me. The guy that came over unlocked it and said are you ready to check out? I said no. He said well then I will have to escort this to the front and when you are ready, come find me so you can buy it. Really???? I get it that there is in fact dishonest people out there, but he made me feel like a two bit thief. He didn't say a word about the drill in my cart. So after 20 minutes of tracking him down I got the bit and checked out. This was my last visit to Home Depot ever. read more

I never take to social media to complain, but, today I am. So back in April, we ordered a garage door through Home Depot and Vinyl fencing though Lowe's. We had issues with installers on both, only difference, Lowe's corrected the issues same day, which made us very happy customers and the finished product is great. Home depot on the other hand has been awful to work with. We ordered a garage door to replace the old door on our garage... Before anyone came out to get their own dimensions, Home Depot had us pay $1200 for the door and install. After we already paid in full, they sent an installation guy out whom was very rude. This guy actually called me asking to come around noon or 1pm so he could check out some other homes, when the appointment was set from 8am-10am (so I could still work that day) and when I explained that he hung up on me. He then shows up to our home helping himself into the backyard to take measurements, and wouldn't give me any information after taking the measurements in the 2 minutes he was here and remained on the phone during our short encounter. He actually only said to me, "you can call customer service to find out what you're going to owe" and got in his truck to leave... So when I call to get the new price it was another $800 added on to the grand + that was already paid. Four months, too many phone calls and store visits later, no door was ever installed or money refunded. What a joke. After talking to management they want to hold $200 from us for cancellation fees that they originally said back in May would be reversed. Like I said I'm not one to make a post and complain but I'm pissed that they've held money for a job never completed and now they want to keep $200 for canceling. I'm disappointed in the lack of communication and professionalism from Home Depot. Rant over. read more

Went in to buy a bathroom vanity. We found a combo that came with wall mirror as listed on their pricing. it stated 24in Combo with wall mirror and the price under this was $159.00. I asked for this product, and when they got it down it I checked the box and it did not have a mirror in it. So I inquired about the mirror. They stated that it did not come with the mirror, and I pointed to the placard that they had that stated this and we were told it did not come with a mirror. I visited the Home Depot located at 100 S Grener Ave, Columbus, OH 43228 on Monday March 27, 2017. I was going to buy 1 specific product for my husband. It was a Dremel Multi-Max 3.5 Amp Corded Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit with 29 Accessories. The Model # is MM45-03 and SKU # is 1000007810. Let me first add EVERYTIME I go into this store, there is not a soul to be found to help customers. I usually have to go to the cash register to request help. My husband sent me the aisle and bin number of the product by looking it up online. It said there were 3 available. I located the aisle and the shelf with the UPC tag was empty. I had to ask for help. Some young guy came out from the back and clearly had NO IDEA how to help me. He called the person who was supposed to be working in the department and that gentleman said he was helping another customer and said he would help me after. I waited 15 minutes.... I requested a store manager. Store manager was busy - of course, so he called another gentleman over that clearly had NO IDEA what he was doing either. He looked at the tag and beside my empty bin was an out of place product. He insisted he had to look this product up to return it where it belonged first. REALLY?? In addition, two more customers asked for help whom he helped before myself. After he searched for my product he said he could not locate them. He told me to try another store. I was so frustrated I walked off. Before departing, I asked the cashier to call the store manager up front. She asked what happened and if she could help. I told her no, I'd rather talk to a store manager. She asked what the problem was so she could inform him what is to be expected. REALLY?? I told her no, to have him come up here. She reluctantly called. She said one of the store managers will be up. I asked her what the names of the store managers were and she refused to tell me. I said why? She said I cannot give that information out. I didn't think this was TOP SECRET information? After waiting for another 6 minutes before the manager arrived, I explained to him my situation. His name was Terry. I also asked for the other store managers name and he told me (however, I forget the name now). I said why would the cashier not tell me the name when so easily provided the information? He said I'm not sure and asked her why. She said I will tell you later... WHAT AN IDIOT! and RUDE. After I told Terry I've now been in the store for 25 minutes, and 23 minutes WAITING on people he said well if they could not find the product then we probably do not have it. He suggested I go to another store. REALLY?????????? Not an apology for how I have been treated? He didn't offer to go look for the product himself? He did not offer to check which other stores had my product or call to see if they can have it ready for me? He offered to do NOTHING. I expressed how unhappy I was with the service of the store and he said well I don't know what you want me to do? I was so angry I said well Terry you've been as helpful as everyone else in this damn store. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS STORE EVER AGAIN. I may go to a competitor's store from now on. I have shopped at this particular location for many years their service has always been hit and miss. Over the past year from this location as usual the wife and I spent a lot of money buying such things as a shed, building materials etc.. we average at minimum 1 to 2 visits per month The last few times I had been to this location their overall customer service has went down hill. I could only find one guy to help in the hardware section he was tied up with another customer. I went to the girl working at the u-scan (there was only myself and another customer at this particular time) to ask if anybody else could help find an item (screws). According to the girl at the u-scan only one person in the whole store knew about screws and it was the guy who was too busy to help. This whole big store with me and like one other customer, Can you imagine a hardware store with only one staff member who knows about screws. Get it together people. read more

My new counter tops from Home depot. I ordered them in March they were to be installed in the second half of April (That didn't happen until June). Now I'm still waiting for them to come back and correct the mistake from the four and a half inch backsplash where they put in a 3 & inch backsplash. (which I called before installation to make sure they corrected this as I saw this on the template before the install). My husband asked about the 3 inch back splash and was told by the installer " I can't do anything about it, this is how they were made". Home Depot is not following up nor will the countertop company (LE Smith, contracted by Home Depot) that did the installation under their contract. I just received in the mail and 8-foot piece of 4 and a half inch backsplash unfinished edges no notching? Oh and I paid $300 extra for CUSTOM work (due to having to notch the 4 and a half counter under the window sill and have charged it on my Home depot credit card that I am currently paying to include interest), I supposed they didn't want to notch it out and just ran the 3 inch down the wall so as to avoid this.....BEYOND PISSED. read more
