If I could give them 10 starts I would!! The food was absolutely amazing, the service was a little slow, seemed like they only had 2 servers for the whole floor. I am a server myself so can be very patient when I'm out eating. Our server was very nice and friendly. But again, omg the food! Absolutely delicious. My boyfriend and I both got the Chicken Fried Steak and amazing!!! The grits are the best I have ever had. I tried this little cafe in a shopping strip off of 2nd St. in Edmond. The interior had a clean and clutter free vibe. It was fairly scarce, but I liked it. There weren't many people for a Saturday afternoon brunch, but perhaps this is because it is fairly newer? The laminated menus were on the table. There were many selections for "clean eating". I ordered the avocado toast, which came with roasted potatoes and tomato wedges drizzled with balsamic; along with coffee. My bill, including a three dollar tip, placed my toast and coffee breakfast at $19 and some change. A friend ordered the steel oats. She, too, thought the price was hefty. It was good, but I don't feel like it merited $19 for a breakfast with girlfriends. There are many more eating places that will satisfy for less. read more

Hanging out in Edmond today looking for a healthy option for breakfast and I found it. I had the smoked salmon avocado cauliflower toast with roasted potatoes. Very, very good! Good price for portion size and quality of food. The staff was very friendly and the partner Stephanie made sure my experience was a good one. She showed me some more healthy options to try when I come back that I didn't notice on the menu. Smart move, because I will be back. I was hungry for brunch food on a lazy Sunday and found The Hive. I ordered a veggie omelette with the potatoes and a homemade biscuit. Everything tasted fresh, and I was pleased to learn that they use organic ingredients whenever possible. That alone will bring us back! We thought the coffee was a little expensive until we found out it's organic, happy to pay an extra 50 cents or so for that. But I have to say the biscuit was my surprise favorite with the white gravy. I normally don't like bread all that much, but it was perfect. Fast, friendly service, too. read more

I was hopeful this would be great, but just mediocre. We were there on a cold and rainy day--it was very cold inside. The thermostat we were sitting by was on cool setting. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with poblano gravy, sausage, and poached eggs. The gravy was bland and had zero poblano flavor. The cut up squares of sausage were gray and unappealing. This is the kind of place my family has been wanting to open for a really long time. They are focused on bringing high quality, clean food, that also tastes amazing. We used to go there when it was known as The Hash. Then there was a closure and a l-o-n-g remodel and eventual re-open as The Hive. I won't dwell on the way it was. . .but will say that the food was OK, but the prices are what caught my attention. Coffee at $3.25 especially caught my attention. That's the most I've ever spent on a regular cup of coffee (other than Starbucks. . .). Other than sides and waffles/pancakes, there wasn't anything less than $10. Our breakfast for two cost was just shy of $28, plus tip. Doubt we'll be back, mainly due to the overpriced items on the menu. read more
