I booked a workshop for 2 on a Saturday with Claire. It was an anniversary gift for my girlfriend. I have no prior experience and my girlfriend has made similar jewelry before. You start by picking a stone and band. You can upgrade your band or stone for a small cost. Claire went over the safety and basics. The workshop is about 2 hours long. I took a class that my friend booked as a surprise for me and I did enjoy it. The instructor (which I don't believe was the owner) was a bit rude but maybe that's her personality. The pricing was a bit on the high end but it's LB and I didn't pay so I wasn't upset. Now I do not recommend this business because the owner does not respect your views or wants your business unless you are a woke liberal. So much for the liberal being so inclusive She is incorrectly saying we live under a dictatorship. I wish she actually lived under one so she appreciated her country and was more accepting. So I don't recommend a business that outwardly posts misinformation and doesn't respect others who don't share the same political views. The owner is spreading misinformation, stating veterans are being sent away. The ones with criminal records were detained. She knows this but continues to add to false narrative. read more

Recently took a silversmith workshop with Jady on a Sunday afternoon and it's safe to say I am absolutely hooked! The workshop was small and intimate with a total of 4 folks plus the instructor. It took us from about 1pm-ish to 3:30pm. It was well thought out and organized and each step was instructed as we went along with Jady to assist with anything, all materials included. You could choose your own stone from a smaller selection (which I love bc too many choices makes my head hurt), or upgrade for an additional fee. I read somewhere that choosing a small stone would be challenging with the machinery and so I am glad for my first one I did chose a larger stone. Jady even messaged the owner and she was able to tell us what the stone was so we could look up the meaning. Would be cool if those were labeled/organized in the future. I also chose to upgrade my band to a pretty sunflower band for an additional fee, only one band comes with the initial price point but I would say it's worth every penny, now I own something forever that I MADE!! I had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to do this again for a special occasion or with friends or if I want to make a unique special gift for someone. Patiently waiting for necklace and earring workshops as well. Don't forget to check out their selection of pre crafted Jewelry and if you're in the market for something custom. I hardly ever write reviews but I know I needed to for the class I had yesterday! It was incredible. I had so much fun. My instructor Ashley was so knowledgeable and answered all my questions, which there wasn't any really because she did such a thorough job explaining the process and each step. The absolute hardest part was picking the stones and if I wanted to upgrade the band.....which I did. It was 100% worth it and is easily the most comfortable ring I own. I did a private lesson and as someone that can get distracted and overwhelmed by lots of people, it was perfect for me. There was some nice mellow music and I got to get lost in the process. I'm giving this review 2 starts because I try and support women especially women of color. However as a business owner myself, I still think that the owner should be held accountable for her employees in part of making sure they are trained/supervised long enough to be able to hold private classes without her supervision, given it's just good business practice AND it's an expensive class that people like myself work long and hard to be able to afford. First and foremost I bought the private session as a birthday gift for my guests. I paid a pretty penny just for the class alone as well as the upgrades which is also unethical business practice to not be more transparent about how itty bitty the stones that are included in the service are. Which I can see this shop has been called out on before. To begin with, the instructor was rude from the very beginning, she literally opened the door took the business sign in, saw us standing there and said nothing. I had to essentially walk myself and my guests in where she proceeded to say "you can go to the back couch and wait there; that's where we will begin". A literal demand. I was infuriated with her tone and was about to just leave but for the sake of my guests I bit my tongue. Not once during the entire session did she ask for our names she literally just spoke the bare minimum that was required of her with a THICK negative vibe the ENTIRE time. I had to ask her; for her name and when I did she said it coldly and turned around and walked away. I seriously couldn't believe it, especially considering how much I paid. I would understand if there was a ton of people but it was a private class for just my small group. The class was decent as I'm sure she felt my tense tone and then and only then, did she begin to retract her attitude a bit. This experience was SO disheartening not only for me but for my guests that I wanted to have a good experience. For a second I wondered if this girl may be part owner as she definitely was acting like it. I've been following this shop since its inception and was so stoked to see how much it's grown I would avidly promote it to my friends / family and followers. I was even planning on booking a class for my employees for our annual work party as well, I will no longer be doing so. I wanted to call my bank and demand part of my money back but I don't want to take from a small business even though this small business has no problem taking my money. I recommend you find a shop that values their clients and values ethical business practices. I will NOT be returning. And please don't respond saying you can't find my name to make things better just do better. The last thing I want to do is put myself on blast. I'm only writing this review to make other people aware. *removing 1 more star for an owner discrediting a client experience because "no one else has had an issue" sounds like a utter gaslight and lack of accountability. But that's fine, you HAVE however been called out on the non transparency of the stones and you still fail to do better when your PAYING clients are clearly expressing a concern REPEATEDLY. Using your rhetoric of course. Also this establishment doesn't take cash and doesn't clearly list that. Also, maybe no one else wanted to take the time out of their day to write a review after already feeling disrespected, but again given that I too am a business owner I feel these types of things should be brought to the consumers attention, customer service has truly declined in recent years and your shop is no exception. As a birthday gift, my daughter and husband' bought me a ticket to this silversmith class. I attended the class with my daughter on my birthday day. Class started at 10 am and we had to be there at least 10 min early. It's a small shop located in DT Long Beach. Only meter or garage parking in the area is available. We checked with the host and was told we needed to pick a stone. There are 2 trays. One with teeny tiny stones. Those are free, then there's another tray with bigger stones that range from 5 to 15 dollars, extra on top of the class fee. There's a wooden picnic style table with a wooden bench big enough for 8 people. The table has everything you need for the class. The class was about an hour long. All the material are supplied to you. However, there are different styles of bands to choose from. Some are free & most are an extra charge depending on the style. Our class only had 4 people so we had to share a torch between us. We had a great time and created beautiful rings. The class really puts a perspective on silversmiths works and you realize why silver jewelry is pricey. My last favorite part was the sanders, if you have acrylic nails this class isn't really for you as you may potentially damage or sand down your acrylics. You have to hold your ring to get sanded to get that silver shine and if you miss & sand your finger is like rug burn. The class for 2 is $250 with a $100 deposit to book your spot. They charge you at the end of class for the rest and add additional cost you picked up along the way. It was a great experience and you take come you're beautiful ring. Highly recommend, especially if you're into crafting. You get a discount at the store if you want to shop & buy something at the store on the same day of class. read more

My friend heard about a silversmithing class here after seeing a video on their IG. We were both excited to make our own custom ring! Their classes are in high demand, so they book up really fast. We had to wait a while to get into a class, but it was worth the wait! When we arrived, Brandi greeted us warmly & showed us a selection of gems we could pick from. There were little ones that were included in the price of the class, & bigger ones that were a little extra. Nothing was exorbitant - the most expensive was maybe $25. We could have also brought our own stone to set - as long as it has a flat back. After picking our stones & signing in on their iPad, we sat at a table with 2 other people, at workstations set up for us. Brandi showed us our ring & setting options, went over blowtorch safety, and patiently took us through each of the steps to make our rings. By the end of the 2-ish hour class, we had each made a beautiful custom ring for ourselves! Brandi was super helpful & made it really fun for us. It was such a cool class, & now I have a really pretty sterling silver ring that I made myself, that I would totally have been drawn to buying had I seen it someplace. The class size was 4 people - the perfect number to share a single blowtorch, & observe each other's work. Came here with my sister in law after seeing them pop up on my tik tok fyp. Such a fun idea and the instructor was amazing but i thought that one aspect was a little deceptive. The "stones"included in the pricing are the size of rice or orzo (pasta) they have other stones to choose from, of course, that go up in price from there but that was really disappointing that they were so tiny, and i say that because of the steps needed to finish the ring. Another woman there picked an included stone (very small but the biggest available) and she was scared, and rightfully so, having to get her fingers so close to the grinder.
