If you're debating on where to go to purchase your engagement rings then look no further. Icing on the ring is the absolute best! Very knowledgeable staff and super patient! Ara was our consultant and he took great care of us. I would recommend him to everyone! He really took his time and answered all of our questions and he made us feel comfortable. Icing also has great pricing compared to big box stores. We were able to custom design our rings from start to finish and got exactly what we wanted. We could not be happier! THANK YOU GUYS!!! read more

So utterly disappointed. My partner had made an appointment to see a different selection of shapes in order to narrow down which one is my favorite. Unfortunately Ara did not email my partner all the details of the ring & band I ultimately liked, like he told us he would. Truly disappointing especially since we were so excited for this appointment overall. read more

My now fiancé and I took a chance and came in as walk-ins on a busy Saturday and was able to be serviced by Ara. We had an amazing experience picking out the diamond and selecting the band. Ara was patient and informative all throughout the process of customizing my engagement ring. What I loved most with my experience is that he didn't try to upsell me on anything but listened to exactly what I wanted. I'm so happy with the way it came out and the quality of it! read more

Leandra was such a gem to work with! My fiancé and I worked with her to design my dream engagement ring and wedding band! When we met Leandra, she made us feel so comfortable and most importantly she made the entire process so fun and easy! She made it a priority to listen to what we envisioned and was able to provide many options that fit within our budget and style! I've been working with Vic at Icing on the Ring for years, and he has never disappointed. I've ordered several pieces from him both for myself and as gitts, and he consistently provides the best service. He is incredibly patient, attentive, and always goes out of his way to bring my vision to life. For my most recent order, I needed a ring ready for an event. Even though production usually takes 2-3 weeks, Vic rushed the process and had my ring ready ahead of time so I could wear it that day. The piece turned out beautiful, just like everything he's made for me. I highly recommend Icing on the Ring, and especially Vic, to anyone looking for quality jewelry and exceptional service. He truly cares about his customers and the work he creates. read more

I can't love this place enough. Ani was so welcoming to us during our first visit and we've never seriously shopped for rings prior. Her knowledge about grading and styles helped empower us with the information to select the perfect engagement ring. Fast forward to a year later and I found an opportunity to present this ring and pop the biggest question of my life. Needless to say, she said yes to being with this goofball forever! read more

Amazing service! Raffi explained everything we needed to know about the perfect ring! The ring came out wonderful.

Gf found Icing on the Ring via TikTok. Personally didn't care where we went originally. However, after meeting with Ara and getting info on designing a ring I was really blown away with how professional and knowledgeable the team was. I am used to extremely pushy jewelry salesman and Ara was not one of them. He was kind and inviting and gave us great information to help us decide on a final ring design. After designing it the ring was ready WAY faster than I thought it would be and it came out perfect. The price was also considerably less than I expected. I cannot wait to propose with this ring and Icing and especially Ara helped make this important moment in my life even better. Thank you. read more

I recently traveled from Las Vegas to LA to purchase an engagement ring for my soon-to-be fiancée, and it was absolutely worth the trip. My girlfriend had sought out this jeweler specifically, and from the moment we walked in, Leandra made the entire experience incredible. Her patience, attention to detail, and ability to understand exactly what we wanted made the process seamless. I couldn't be happier with the entire experience and the final result! read more

My partner and I came in and brought in our own stone and had Vic create a setting for my engagement ring. As you can see in the photo attached below, I told him I would reach out again when I am ready for my wedding band. Thanking him to no end that I am so grateful it's so beautiful. So now that we're about to get married, we want our matching bands. But because we're small penny compared to a Tacori sale, they leave me on read for my wedding band when I have already purchased my setting from here 6 months ago. I'm so confused? It was read right after I sent it. I am an excellent client, although my ring wasn't entirely made by them, since receiving my ring, Ive recommended every single one of my friends to get their pieces from this company. So I'm so confused why I'm being iced out, when I've only been in the store one time. And interacted with Vic for 30 mins while I was getting my ring set. I've seen the social medial coordinator Leandra engage with me when I would shout you guys out all the time on tik tok when people wanted recommendations for a family owned business. So I'm confused why I'm being left on read via text and tik tok. I seriously was advocating so hard for your company because I stood by your message of being family owned and your "passion" is custom settings. I tried to bring up my concerns by commenting on one of their tiktok post and it was left unread, and they continued to post as scheduled. So I guess I'll escalate it to google and yelp. I guess because we didn't get the stone from you guys and only got setting done, we're not worth of your time. Very unfortunate feeling this way when I've been advocating all my friends to go to you. And had one of my friends recently go in with her partner for their upgrade. The day we came to get our stone set, Vic was 30 mins late as well. It was no big deal to us because we are local, but we are still humans. I looked at this ring so proud too because Vic had just got it done a week before my grandpa passed in the ICU. I didn't care that we had to wait a little bit or that in my receipt I asked for lobster claw and he did round prongs. I really thought he was doing what he was passionate at and decided to change it because durability? Since I told him I work with my hands a lot and I want to make sure it's secure. But this whole ghosting experience left such a bad taste in my mouth for a moment that was supposed to be so special to me because I was able to have it before my grandpa passed. We got our band else where. My engagement ring is fine as of now, but when it comes to the maintenance of the setting we've purchased, I guess we'll see what happens. Instead I would recommend Mark Schneider Designs or Kobelli Jewelry for custom bespoke pieces. read more

A tale of three rings. Back in 2008, my then fiancé and I were looking for a jeweler to create my vision of what I wanted as a wedding band. We went to several stores in DTLA and our last stop was Icing. Raffi helped answer all of my questions and his kind demeanor let us know that this was the right business to work with and so, my wedding band was born. In 2018, after our 10 year anniversary, my husband wanted to upgrade my engagement ring. By chance, Raffi responded to our appointment and we worked with him to upgrade my 1 ct. princess cut solitaire to a nearly 2 ct. emerald cut diamond in a cathedral style setting, my dream ring. Never has my hand looked so glittery with my new ring and wedding band combo. Seven years and two beautiful kids later, I wanted to update my engagement ring to represent the past, present, and future with a three stone ring but using the same center stone. As kismet would have it, we worked with Raffi again, helping us figure out which setting and type of stones would work while also making sure that my wedding band would fit in as well. The result: the blingiest ring I've ever had, a representation of the various stages of life I've crossed. The embodiment of 'icing on the ring' for me. While there are no plans to upgrade my weddings rings, there are some ideas to convert my original engagement ring into a necklace and possibly consider a ring for our 25th anniversary which is not too far away. Will Raffi be the one to help us out for a fourth time in a row? Stay tuned, only time will tell, but we'll definitely return to Icing again. read more

I had been ring shopping for a couple days and was completely lost. So many places lacked transparency with design and pricing. On the verge of settling, and paying some price out of my budget. I went to the diamond district hoping for a win and boy did I. I walked into Icing on the Ring with no appt and was greeted by Raffi. I rolled deep with my sister, father and bro in law. At this point, I knew what I wanted and wanted someone real with no hidden fee's and honesty. Raffi and Icing on the Ring exceeded my expectations. Raffi was a straight shooter with excellent customer service and communication. He had the center stone and side diamonds on hand. He was willing to grab or go out and get the stone if he didn't have it on hand. He wasn't trying to up-sell me on anything. It was a proper education from a true Gemologist. He built the ring right in front of us, using some tack/glue to show how it would look. He showed us every option. Answered every question and gave his feedback. He is the professional and had been doing it for years. Every place tried to charge me a "design fee" or extra for the side diamonds on a 3 stone ring. I told Raffi about all the places I went to. He scoffed and told me to not worry. Everything at Icing on the Ring is upfront. I give you 1 price and that's it. I knew I was going to buy here. I felt comfortable buying here. EXCELLENT customer service, yes ALL CAPS. I felt like I had a daily email conversation with Raffi. Sorry if I bugged lol. I was sent a rendering of the ring. Raffi answered all questions. Then the next process was a 3D printed version of the ring. Next level. Then I got the ring shortly after. My fiancée absolutely adores the ring. She's gotten non stop compliments. We will be buying our wedding and future rings from Raffi and Icing on the Ring. My sister wants to buy rings too. Hahaha. You have customers for life. I couldn't think of buying the ring anywhere else. Thanks again. read more

I came to Icing on the Ring to see some gems in person vs purchasing online. I worked with Ara for quite a long time because I naturally had a thousand and one questions after spending countless hours online for the past who-knows-how-many-months. Ara never spoke condescendingly toward me even though I came in with a bunch of google facts. He was so patient, professional, and kind when answering all of my questions. He confirmed some of my researched, and also taught me much more! He helped me consider scenarios that I normally would not have considered, and thus, helped me find something that I whole heartedly love! Being a family owned business, and not an online gemstone wholesale, I am sure I paid more than if I just purchased a single gemstone, and set it myself. That being said, had I not come here, I know I would have been 10x more stressed out because I wouldn't have been able to fully examine it in person, had a thousand and 1 questions go unanswered, and then creating a setting without being certain about the style. I am SO glad I made the decision to come to Icing on the Ring, and I hope to come back more jewelry soon! read more

Sadly I have to give this business a 2 star review. My husband and I are in the market to create a custom anniversary ring to celebrate over 30 years of marriage. I contacted the business via social media, spoke to the social media creator and sent in photos of rings that I was wanting to use as inspiration. I set an appointment for first thing in the morning on a Friday. Upon arrival, we were greeted and passed to Raffi for him to help us. I explained what we were looking to do, showed him inspiration photos and he had two diamonds there for us to look at that really weren't perfect for the ring that we were wanting to create. He contacted one of his local resources and was able to obtain a few more diamonds in a shape that would suit the ring we were creating perfectly. Up until this point, the customer service and friendliness of the staff was great! Until it wasn't... My husband and I decided on a stone and band that we would have designed. Raffi gave us a few different options for pricing and presented it to us. My husband explained to Raffi that we had another appointment down the street with another jeweler to look at what he had to offer us and to get pricing from him. I asked Raffi if he had a business card so that I could call him after our appointment to inform him on what we decided. We were instantly told that he only gives his business card to people that he will be doing business with and that we knew how to contact him should we need to. Right then and there, we left the store and knew that we would never give this business any of our hard earned money. If they were so put off that we were doing our due diligence on shopping around and comparing prices on an over $13,000 purchase, we knew they weren't the ones to create a memorable piece for us to enjoy for the future. Sorry Raffi! Your attitude about a mere business card lost you a sale and future business/referrals. We have now upgraded the ring even more and have gone with another jeweler. Be warned. If you choose to shop around to ensure that you're getting exactly what you want for a fair price, you'll offend them! Customer service goes a long way and this was not what we expected from this store after reading the reviews. read more

My fiancé and I worked with Ara throughout our process of designing and ordering a custom engagement ring and couldn't be happier with our experience. We came in with ideas and a loose diamond inherited from my grandmother to use for the center stone, and had a wonderful experience meeting with Ara to lock down the design of my dreams. He was friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging throughout, showing us lots of band styles and settings in house so we were informed and confident about our detail choices during our designing process. We were shocked at how reasonable the price was once we finalized the concepts, and were given a turnaround time of only 3 weeks. Ara quickly had a digital 3D rendering of the designed ring to share for approval to make sure we were completely happy before moving forward with crafting the ring. It's absolutely perfect! I am so happy with how it turned out, and it was a seamless process bringing my vision to life. I highly recommend working with Ara and Icing on the Ring, especially for custom design work for a truly unique piece! read more

So I decided to surprise my girlfriend in Paris while she was on a trip with friends in Europe. Just before my flight to Europe, I went on the search for a promise ring. After perusing many options, I decided to give this place a try. I found parking at a pay lot not far from the entrance to the building in which this place sits. After making my way into the building, I proceeded to the third floor. A short walk led me to this fine establishment. The sales lady, Ani, showed me many different rings before I found the perfect one. I decided on a 14kw 6-prong ring with diamonds spanning 3/4 across. The center piece is a round diamond. Check out was seamless. I swiped my card, and Ani provided me with the paperwork. I hung out by the couch and TV, sipped on water and coffee while I waited for the ring to be ready. It was a short wait, less than 30 minutes. The ring looked magnificent, and my girlfriend was impressed when I presented it to her in Paris. Icing on the Ring surpassed my expectations. They helped make the trip to Paris memorable for my girlfriend and I, and marked the beginning of the next stage for us. For all your jewelry needs, I recommend Icing on the Ring. read more
