Concierge Diamonds exceeded all expectations! Dan was fantastic with helping choose the ring, and Loretta was outstanding with her operational expertise and customer service. I always knew exactly where things stood in the process. They made sure the ring was ready right on time with a perfect fit, and the attention to detail on the final product was flawless. My fiancée absolutely loves her ring. If you're buying something this important, this is the place to do it. read more

The business fits its name...Dave gives his clients a concierge experience. I had difficulty sourcing a particular diamond shape and other jewelers at most would find me two diamonds to check out after several weeks. Dave was able to source 5 to 6 diamonds within 5 days and I was very blown away by the quality. He educates you on the 4 c's of diamonds and doesn't push you on a sale. He is by appointment only but he is very responsive via email. He will spend at least an hour giving you and your partner his undivided attention during the appointment. This level of service is unlike that offered by other jewelers in the LA jewelry district. I found out about Dan on reddit because of the good advice he's given to strangers through the years. He's earned an excellent reputation for how he educates folks online without requesting for any incentives. Glad to have a diamond expert who truly cares for his clients and runs a great business! His prices are a little higher than some quotes I've received but I do think it's reasonable because of how much extra customer service you're getting from the experience. He has a stellar reputation and offers high quality diamonds. Aubrey is part of his team and she's the one who will give you great advice on your ring design. For those from out of town, I think Dan is the right person to go to if you live outside of LA because he does online appointments and has a strong reputation you can lean on. read more

Going into ring shopping for my fiancée was very nerve wracking for me. Luckily I found Concierge Diamonds and they saved my life! Aubrey and team talked me through each and every step of the process with clarity, care, and fun. They made my fiancée a custom ring that she absolutely loved. They even resized it down once we found out that the ring was a little too big for her. I am going to go back to them any time I need any jewelry. read more

I found out about this business off of Reddit and just showed up one Friday afternoon without an appointment. We didn't know anything about custom jewelry at the time or what to expect from the International Jewelry Plaza. Instead of turning us away, Annie and team took us in last minute to discuss what we were looking for. My bf and I worked with Annie to talk about a custom engagement ring and a custom tennis bracelet. She spent a lot of time with us and did three one hour meeting with us to talk about the various design parameters as well as showed us some diamonds. Annie was so nice and attentive to what I wanted and we never felt obligated to purchase. I had a peculiar taste in the diamond. I wanted an old European brilliant that was WARM in color. This is kind of hard to find. She was able to source several unique diamonds and I actually found one I liked. I was surprised they did not require any kind of deposit to show us the diamonds for putting in all this work. Unfortunately, in the end, we did not go with Concierge Diamonds as we found another designer whose work and process we liked just a tad more. I figured I still leave this business a 5 star review because I felt I was valued and treated well as a potential customer. read more

After 14 years as a client of Concierge Diamonds--with my engagement ring, both wedding bands, my husband's bands (twice), and diamond earrings all designed by them--I can confidently say I would not recommend them. Despite having a warranty listed on their website, they refused to stand behind their work when my engagement ring's center stone fell out in 2022, ten years after purchase. I was told I'd have to cover the cost myself and did. Fast forward three years, and the ring literally snapped in half. After two weeks of follow-ups and delays, their accounting team again said I'd likely be responsible for the repair and they needed me to drop it off downtown LA. Terrible service - not surprised- and again not standing by their warranty? The lack of accountability and poor customer service made it clear: I won't be giving them another dollar. Do yourself a favor--go to IXV Karat in Beverly Hills. They remade my ring beautifully at a fraction of the cost and, most importantly, have amazing communication, an incredible selection and I know they stand by their warranty without hesitation. read more

I found them on Reddit and emailed one night about making engagement rings for me and my squeeze. I didn't hear back right away and figured they were too busy/popular to cater to every inquiry, but sure enough owner Dan Moran called and emailed me a couple weeks later, apologizing that he hadn't seen the email because it went to spam. Dan and his staff have been such a pleasure to work with. Super knowledgeable about natural and lab grown gems. He had excellent design suggestions for my ring as I was struggling to figure out how to adapt a vintage ring I'd seen online and liked. Extremely reasonable pricing. I can't wait to see how our rings turn out! read more

Echoing what everyone seems to say about Dan and his team, but they are truly remarkable and you can tell they care about not only what you're looking for, but you and your partner's story as well. I was pulling my hair out looking for the perfect ring (and going to many well-known outlets), but nothing was clicking. Then I found Dan through Reddit and his team quickly set up a meeting with me. The process of finding the right stone was amazing as Dan let me lead with how I felt about each diamond we looked at - never pushing price or a certain stone my way. He only wanted me to happy with my choice for my partner. Once we settled on a stone, I quickly realized a few days later that the size was a bit too big and Dan immediately accommodated me - bringing me back in to take another look...and choose the right size for me. No hassle whatsoever. Once the stone was chosen, his associates Lorenzo and Loretta walked me through the design process, which was a lot of fun and I was able to craft the ring the way I wanted it. Within 2 weeks, the ring was ready and I popped the question a few days later. This was also amazing, because I was on a very shortened timeline and Dan was very real with me that he and the team would get it done on time to make the day special and they crushed it. All in all, the process from meeting Dan to having the ring ready was around 3 weeks long. It was incredibly fast, but I never felt rushed. It was honestly a lot of fun and made this moment in my life even more special and memorable. I can't recommend Concierge Diamonds enough for their professionalism and efficiency, and highly suggest everyone who's stuck looking for the perfect ring to give them a shout. read more

tl;dr: Concierge Diamonds lives up to their name. I felt a true concierge experience every step of the way, and even afterwards. Happy to have found a go-to jeweler who cares more about the experience than the sale. I found Dan via Reddit like most others. I'm a data-driven/research-focused type guy, and through my process, Dan's name kept coming up as a highly recommended and trusted source for information. For those not familiar with Reddit, you get brutally honest feedback. His reputation there is top notch. I reached out not expecting much, maybe some feedback on the research I'd already conducted on how to pick the "perfect" stone. I figured I was 90% of the way there, as I was comfortable with way more than the 4 C's...I knew my ideal table, depth, crown, and pavilion specs, ideal ratios, etc. In short, I knew what I wanted and just needed some help sourcing it. Dan and I connected first over the phone, and while we did talk about what I was looking for in terms of a stone and what he could help with, he was more interested in my story. How'd you guys meet? What's her personality like? While I was happy to share all, I wanted to get my data points in. Let me get that ideal cut, I want a perfect ratio with my choices, I prioritize fire over size, etc. He told me not to worry and we scheduled a visit. I'm sure he could have handed me to one of his staff, but Dan personally met with me. He did a TON of homework, and all of the options presented to me not only satisfied my data-nerd criteria, but more importantly just FELT right. It was actually tough to choose, but he walked me through how to best examine and compare each stone until we got to a final one. Any apprehension he sensed, he wouldn't let go and encouraged me to sit and ask questions. I felt very confident that we ended up truly finding "the one." I then went to discuss my crazy ideas on a custom designed setting and band, and his design team was very transparent and helpful. I even got a "this may not be the best sales approach, but I wouldn't recommend what you requested because it's not worth it. We could try this instead..." We ended up with a design that included all of the elements I wanted, but with a designer's touch. From start to finish, the experience was truly a concierge feel. Dan and his team did a lot of homework ahead of my visit, and that almost made the process more difficult because everything was so close to perfect. All of my questions were answered, pricing was transparent from the beginning, and the team immediately followed up and opened the door for any additional questions. If you're looking for a jeweler who really cares about helping you create what you're looking for, this is the crew. read more

Could not have asked for a better experience for creating a custom engagement ring. I found Dan and Concierge Diamonds via Reddit and reached out to them. I was so appreciative of how well they all took care of me. Dan had a great meeting with me exploring different stones for the setting and approaching the selection with me in mind rather than trying to push certain stones. I also loved his suggestion of secret stones in the band to add a personal touch. From there his team (especially Aubrey) was great guiding me step by step through the design and creation process. I am beyond thrilled with how the ring came out and loved the amazing presentation of the final product. Will definitely recommend for anyone looking for an amazing jewelry experience. read more

My fiance and i went to Concierge Diamonds in Downtown LA and had an amazing experience. I got a beautiful 2.01 ct H SI1 Natural oval diamond with 1.58 ratio on a size 3.5 finger. I got it in rose gold low profile prong pave. They even added our birth stones on 2 sides inside the ring. My fiance compares the experience to a wine tasting due to how thorough it was. We got to see a lot of oval diamonds and were able to look at each stone with our magnifying glass tool and also in different lighting options. The purchasing process was easy and pretty seamless, we chose the design and specs of the ring the same day we came in for the viewing (04.22) and then approved the 3d rendering of the ring through email (05.06) and then my fiance picked it up at (05.26). Super happy with how it turned out and the craftsmanship is top notch! read more

I found Concierge Diamonds through Reddit when my boyfriend and I were discussing engagement rings. They're located in the Diamond District and had extensive "street cred" on Reddit, so I reached out to them to gauge their prices and customer service among other shops in the Diamond District. A few notes: 1) They only do natural diamonds, not lab grown (I was not aware of this prior) 2) They encourage you to shop around at other places first to find what shape, size, color, etc center stone you want prior to visiting. 3) Their response time was a bit longer than others (e.g. 5-7 days). We were also shopping around Valentine's Day, so it was surge timing. I would say the part of the process where they come in is really to help you source a good center stone and they can also help design/create the setting. I went to a big box jewelry story first and found my center stone, then sent the range of specs (+budget) I wanted to Concierge Diamonds. From there, they sourced a handful of stones that fit my specs and had me come in to look at them (they are also able to send you images of center stones virtually if you're looking to coordinate online). I felt like my entire experience was very white-glove; their jewelers were very knowledgeable and invested in finding the right stone for us. Other places felt less personable and in some cases, pressured us a ton on purchasing or putting a down payment down. Concierge was VERY patient and very respectful of our decisions. I also shared with them a very intricate setting that I was looking to replicate. Multiple other places I asked said that it would be difficult to replicate or did not sound confident when they said they could do it. Concierge Diamonds was the only place that seemed confident that they could make it (as long as it wasn't trademarked) and trustworthy. All in all, I would've felt very comfortable and happy creating my ring and buying my diamond from here, but we ultimately decided to go lab grown for ours. Nonetheless, we were very pleased with the service we got here and wanted to share! read more

I worked with Kendall to select and purchase the center-cut diamond for my engagement ring, and I can't recommend her and Dan enough. The entire process was smooth, educational, and completely void of sales tactics you'd experience at large jewelry chain stores. In the end, I got an amazing princess cut center diamond at an amazing price, and the support of a team that genuinely cares about its customers. Just to clarify too, I got the band for the ring elsewhere only because my girlfriend had already found the unique design and fell in love with it. Otherwise, I would have 100% gotten the band through Concierge as well due to their quality and reputation. If you're unsure at all where to go to get the perfect engagement ring for the best price, go through Concierge. You won't be disappointed. read more

Had such a great experience with Concierge Diamonds! My now fiancé and I were eager to check out Salt & Pepper diamonds, and Astrid walked us through a wide array of options. It was such a pleasurable experience and my fiancé ended up picking out "THE" diamond she liked. Astrid was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and really walked us through the entire process - big shout out to Astrid! From there, Astrid and the production team helped walked me through finalizing the design and getting the ring made! It was seamless, easy, and the entire team kept me in the loop on progress. They even reviewed the first prototype and modified the design to improve the look, and kept me informed of the change. I chose to pick up the ring in person and it came out perfect! I was able to get the ring I wanted, custom made, at an exceptional price when compared to others in the market. What a wonderful experience I had working with Dan, Aubrey, and Sado at Concierge Diamonds. From start to finish, they helped me every step of the way in what is an extremely personal, emotional, and time sensitive process. From Dan helping me pick a beautiful stone in a no-pressure environment, guiding me to a combination of features and characteristics that exceeded my expectations for my budget, and then working with me to find a new one when I ultimately changed my mind later on without skipping a beat. Sado (who is one of Dans design partners he recommended and works together with) helped me through a very long custom design process and was extremely helpful and understanding as I made changes and asked questions. Ultimately producing one of the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever seen. Wonderful craftsmanship and attention to detail, and his 18k gold is beautiful. Aubrey was super helpful communicating along the way and keeping me informed, and also acting as my own advocate when she felt something specific needed to be further examined in the design process. Most importantly, my now fiancée said YES (actually BEFORE I could even take out the ring I spent 6 months designing!) and we will be coming back to Dan for any jewelry needs from now on. It seemed stressful to think someone in a different state would be creating something without me being able to physically see it, but with this team of pros nothing ever skipped a beat. I wanted ti wait till I proposed to write this review because it is well deserved. After finally being able to propose to my longtime girlfriend, I found myself lost in a world of unknown. I had no clue where to start, what to look for or even a spec of knowledge when it came to diamonds. I searched and searched the internet, feeling overwhelmed with the array of articles on engagement rings. I finally decided to search on reddit in hopes of finding answers to my million questions and hopefully finding a foundation to which to build upon to begin my search of the perfect ring. After a quick search, I came across Dan Moran and Concierge Diamonds and knew I stumbled upon the perfect expert to help in my search. He had praises from millions across the internet and his online reviews, YouTube channel and social media pages to help solidify that he was the perfect choice! I sent an email to advise him of my interest and he was quick to respond and set up an appointment over the phone. Before I knew it, he was helping me design the perfect engagement ring along with Aubrey, and I must say, it was perfectly done! My now fiancé LOVES her ring and it would not have been possible without the expertise and knowledge of Dan Moran and Aubrey!! It is stressful enough to decide you want to propose to your partner, let alone the diamond selection and ring-buying process. However, the team at Concierge (I worked with Kelli, Astrid, Rachel, and Dan) could not have made the process easier. I was able to have complete discussions about budget and design remotely and they sent high-res photos and videos of the diamonds, CAD files for the ring/setting design, and provided overnight shipping. The process was extremely straightforward and they were a huge help with advice on diamond and gold characteristics, budget, and just making everything feel more relaxed even though I was making such a big decision. This review is long overdue but needs to be out there. The gist of it all is that Concierge Diamonds is an excellent place to find the right diamond for your budget while getting the customer service you deserve. I worked with Dan and his team to get the perfect engagement ring for my now fiancee over the course of 3 months and the whole process was enjoyable. I first contacted Dan back in early December 2018. Dan quickly referred me to his teammate Kim who is also a diamond specialist. Throughout this whole 3 month process Kim was very enthusiastic and patient. She made sure I knew what I was walking into by covering the 4Cs, informing me where I can make trade-offs, and answering all of my (many) questions. When Kim first gave me her down-selected set of diamonds, I made a change in which certifications I was willing to accept and also lowered my budget. Kim respected my preferences and gave me another selection of diamonds that fit my new criteria in a timely manner. When it came to manufacturing the setting and getting the stone set, I informed Kim that I was on a tight schedule and needed the ring completed by a certain date. Crystal, the production coordinator, was informed of this and her and Kim gave me regular updates on the status of the ring. They did not forget my schedule and by the end of this process managed to get the ring done and quality checked just in time!! Overall I highly recommend Concierge Diamonds, especially Kim. His team offered me a free temporary ring shown in the figure below which looks nice and solid nonetheless. I got the ring in the beginning of July and the entire process was through email and phone as I lived in the east coast. I hope one day I can visit their LA site in person! read more

Had a fantastic experience working with Dan and his team to craft the perfect engagement ring for my longtime partner. For our first meeting, Dan had ready a wide array of different styles of diamond in the cut I'd requested (an elongated cushion); he even whipped together a whole new batch of options after I panicked and changed my mind on the one we'd gone with. His team was extremely communicative; they very helpfully provide a 3D rendering of your design before sending it to production, a step that helped me identify a couple small tweaks that I wanted to make. Dan and his team managed to accomplish everything in under 6 weeks, from my initial outreach to the delivery of the finished piece. Dan, Sado, and the entire Concierge Diamonds team were the most amazing people to work with. Dan took the time to understand what I wanted the ring to be, discuss intricacies of each design, structural considerations, and shared his immense knowledge with me as I embarked on the most important investment of my young life. After consulting numerous jewelers, including a jeweler we have a multi-decade relationship with, I was worried about the dishonesty and sales practices that seem to be commonplace in the Diamond business. After 6+ weeks of exploring options, no matter who I spoke with, my guard was on high alert. That is when I met Dan, owner of Concierge Diamonds (and now a friend), that 3,500 miles away, unbeknownst to me, went to the same east coast high school as me. Dan never once tried to sell me, instead he informed me and armed me with the knowledge to make my own decision. In turn, a rapport and foundation of trust was formed. After dealing with my 7 days/week calls and texts (sorry Dan), me scrapping multiple designs that I personally requested be drawn up, and sending him on a wild goose chase for the perfect center stone, I got the finished product...My girlfriend (now fiancé) had two things to say when she saw the ring, "yes", and then "oh my goodness who made this". In the sea of congratulatory texts that we have received, almost everyone has commented and asked about "the bling". I could not recommend Dan and the Concierge Diamonds team more, he not only surpassed our wildest expectations, but also established a long-term customer in us. From the moment you have your initial consultation, it is abundantly evident the pride Dan and the Concierge team take in the deliverables they produce, and the happiness they create. Thanks Dan and Concierge team for truly taking my engagement to the next level!! read more

Concierge Diamonds was fantastic through every step of the process of buying an engagement ring. I was referred by a friend and I'll refer all of my friends to Dan Moran and his team at Concierge Diamonds. Before committing to such a major purchase, I did several weeks of due diligence comparing selection and prices across LA's Diamond District, online diamond retailers, and even other concierge-like services. The diamonds I saw with Dan were significantly higher quality than those I saw anywhere else - it wasn't even close! The prices were extremely competitive and I never felt pressured to go beyond my budget. I was looking for a less common cut (Old Mine Cut diamond). Most jewelers I called had 0 or possibly 1 Old Mine diamonds to show me, where as Dan was able to show me a selection of 8 Old Mines - each better than the last. I was truly impressed! In addition to the quality and selection, everybody at Concierge Diamonds was fantastic to work with. Dan is a genuinely great guy and the other concierges I worked with (Kelli & Aubrey) were super helpful and knowledgeable. Beyond the center stone, the setting design process and metalworking were just as great. I came in with a very specific design in mind and they were able to produce it perfectly. I just received my finished ring, and I was happy enough to create a Yelp account to write my first review. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the team was able to complete my ring design, set the stone, and deliver my ring on a relatively short timeline. I couldn't be happier with the ring or with my overall experience. Thanks again Dan! read more

I began looking at engagement rings in June of 2018 starting with online research, eventually stumbling on Dan's reddit account. I spent a month or so reading through as many topics as possible, following all his posts and trying to learn what I could. After a couple months I started looking at stones on Blue Nile and James Allen and quickly realized that I still had no fucking idea what I was looking at so I contacted Dan and setup a phone interview. About a week after speaking with Dan over the phone and letting him know what I was looking for he emailed me with a number of stones that fit my criteria and budget. We began slowly narrowing down until we were left with the winner. From there we began designing the ring itself. Dan's assistant Aubrey helped me through this step regularly emailing me with updates and sending me CAD images of my ring allowing me to tweak the design to exactly what I wanted. Once the ring was completed it was overnighted to me and upon receiving it I immediately knew I made the right choice. The ring is a three stone setting, the center is a 2.55ct SI1 H oval, the sides are I believe .3ct ovals turned 90 degrees facing east/west. It is flawless to the naked eye with little to no 'bow tie' effect and even though its an H in color it is perfectly white in daylight. This was exactly why I contacted Dan in the first place. Looking at stones on Blue Nile and James Allen in the G-J color spectrum and VS1 and below I had no way of knowing how it would look in real life once I got it. Having a professional set of eyes inspect each diamond before showing to me reassured me that I would receive something I would be happy with. Ultimately I ended up with a fantastic ring which I am confident in saying looks better and is cheaper than the equivalent from Blue Nile or James Allen. Had I gone through either of them I would not have been able to afford a 2.5+ct stone that looked this good. read more

I can't say enough great things about Dan and the wonderful staff at Concierge Diamonds! Like many others, I first reached out to Dan on Reddit. I didn't even know he was in LA when I first messaged him. We spoke on the phone, then set up a time to meet in person. I am a complete diamond/jewelry rookie and had the mindset to only meet to learn more and see things in person after doing all my online research for an engagement ring. I felt so comfortable while I was there since he is genuinely a great guy (he even offered to get me lunch since it was around noon and I was there for about an hour). We looked at probably 7 different diamonds which he picked within my budget. He never told me the cost of each one while looking at them, only informing me of what to look for and I picked out which ones I liked the best. Turns out the one I decided on was one of the least expensive!! I told him to hold on to that one while I think things over. A few days later I called him back to ask to see a few bigger diamonds since I had plenty of room in my budget. The following week we met again and I looked at about 3 more bigger diamonds and I ended up sticking with the original pick since the bigger ones were barely any different but much more expensive. After that, we viewed what must have been 200 ring designs to try and narrow down a selection. I had 2 designs I selected and after a few days, I found a perfect design online which I sent to Dan and he replicated it flawlessly with a few tweaked improvements. The staff kept me updated throughout the whole process and actually sent me a video of the ring once it was done. I was so freaking excited and when I went to pick it up, I was even more impressed with it. I went in to this thing knowing only 3 things about the ring I wanted: 1) For the diamond to be round. 2) The ring needs to be yellow gold. 3) The ring/setting had to be unique and not just a plain design you see everybody have. My (now) fiancee is very peculiar with jewelry which made me extremely nervous about the surprise but she is in love with it and refused to take it off even though it was a bit too small. When we took it to Dan to resize it and had to wait till the following day to pick it up, she was so sad to be without it lol. Granted I don't have any experience with other jewelers or diamond brokers but after dealing with Dan, I don't think I ever will. He takes care of everything: the diamond selection, the ring design, the fabrication of it all, resizing (included), appraisal, polishing once a year and even threw in a delightful box of chocolates. All of that included!! I feel like a diamond expert now and now I have a "diamond guy" which I will refer anyone who asks to. Cannot recommend Concierge Diamonds enough! read more
