10/10! This is a gem tucked away in Pineville. Close to 485 with ease of access and for a quick jaunt to relaxation and restoration. You know I'm your SPA enthusiast! I was pleasantly surprised because this isn't a traditional SPA. It's a unique SPA that offers additional amenities that any Splendid SPA Diva would dive into. There's a traditional massage if you're inclined. I always am untill I heard they foot soak with herbal infusions, Zero Gravity Mani/Pedis', Blow-outs, Skin evaluation, Scalp Consultations and 4-6 HEAD SPA stations with ADA accessibility. Ohhh what's that? It's a luxury scalp massage that tickles your senses because each product is selected with your hair type in mind. Even us 4 A-B-C girls (No braids, synthetic hair or tape-ins). They even specialize in curls! I just shaved my hair for no reason! However, it was an indulgent luxurious experience. Yes, it's just a wash! YouTube it; set your expectations. It's still luxury... I saw that they had weekday specials. I got the last 7pm appointment as they stay booked during the evenings. I came early to try a foot soak. Now, I know what you're thinking but let me set the stage. You're in a lush robe, zen music, tucked away in a room that is vivacious yet calm and you're holding a mimosa or tea. Then they give you one of 12 different soaks that have fresh fruit, herbs, and various oils in a tub covered by a blanket on a chair that engulfs you. The steam is allowing the herbs and fruit to radiate throughout the room creating a serene oasis. Lela did an impeccable job explaining my service and checking on me. I love hot-hot water and she came back and added more even although my next service was starting in 10 mins. That's great customer service. Next was with Desi. She got me situated in the Head Spa chair. I was worried about my comfort but she elevated my legs to allow a perfect alignment. She then gave me a choice of cooling vs heated mask. Raised the music, dimmed the lights and let the water flow. She was gentle and asked about my comfort. I'm not tender headed so I said go for it. Honestly, she could have went to town but she was methodical and gentle throughout the process. I was shown around but my phone died. The Zero gravity room looked so inviting. The blow out room was gigantic and the decore was so cute. I would definitely come back again. Maybe a massage and lashes next time. It's definitely worth booking. As a natural hair girlie, I must admit, I was slightly nervous about booking an appointment. UNTIL I saw one of the service providers is black AND natural - booked an appointment with her (Jayla Brown) expeditiously. Since this was my first time at a Head Spa, I booked: - Rejuvenation 100 minute Head Spa ($275.00) - Blow Dry for Natural & Curly Hair ($60.00) FYI, the blow dry service is not automatically included. If not booked, you will leave with wet hair. My total came to: $335.00 The space was absolutely gorgeous! After checking-in, the hostess provided me a wrap, robe, fuzzy socks and slippers. The wrap/robe is plus size friendly - I was given a 5XL. Cubbies (with and without locks) are provided to store your personal items. After changing, Jayla was at the hostess stand waiting for me. She started with the scalp consultation - utilizing 4 different light to check for blood flow, oil build up, clogged pores etc. It was a strange thing to see a microscopic view of my scalp. We discussed hair products I am currently using as well. Was great being able to speak to her and she was familiar with the black owned brands I was naming. You will return for another analysis to compare before service vs. after service. From there, we went into a separate room for THE SERVICE. The bed was heated, pillow placed under my legs for lower back support and I selected a cooling/weighted mask for my eyes. I truly can not remember the last time I was that relaxed! Jayla was gentle with my hair and her pressure was great for the scalp massage. 10/10 service from her! A quick massage of the shoulder/upper arm is given. My only recommendation is for this to last a little longer. Also, adding a weighted blanket!! The drying/styling station is upstairs (~ 20 steps). Again, Jayla was gentle with my hair. She sectioned my hair for detangling, used a heat protectant and shine serum when complete. It's a hefty price tag. I wanted the experience, so I payed up. I can see myself visiting again. I came to The Head Spa Sanctuary with high hopes after seeing it all over TikTok, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype -- not even close. My friend and I booked two 60-minute "non-traditional head spa" sessions and, with tip, spent a whopping $435. For that price, you could get a full-body massage with a far better (and longer) head massage included. What we received was essentially an extended hair wash -- minimal explanation, no education about the process, and maybe 10 minutes total of actual scalp massage. They provide an eye mask, but the room is still brightly lit -- not the calm, dark, spa-like atmosphere you'd expect for this kind of service. Yes, the space is beautiful and very Instagrammable, but if you're looking for actual value and relaxation, you're much better off elsewhere. You can get the same wash and a cheaper blow dry at a regular salon for a fraction of the cost. Absolutely do not recommend. You'll pay quite the price but the relation is top notch. Each step of our journey at the head spa was met with a warm smile. We both had a head spa service with a facial and it was wonderful. The second I got home I had to buy a jade eye mask because of the amazing feeling it left me with at the head spa. The entire experience felt super private and peaceful. The owner even came and thanked us for coming to check them out. Parking is not an issue, but finding the right entry door to the building can be a bit tricky. The experience here is top notch. It is pricey but you get your money's worth with the relaxing environment, products used and professional service. The setup is a bit unconventional, but it will be worth it. The building holds multiple businesses along the hallways. The spa lobby area is on the first floor and you will be guided to your private spa suite on the second floor. The decor in both rooms was organic and inviting. My experience was a 90 minute double head spa with my sister. You will be in the same room for the dual sessions (the space was a bit small for this). Cozy socks, blanket, body towel wrap, and robe will be waiting for you. They will also set you up with a wedge pillow under your legs and a choice of hot or cold eye mask during your session. Detailed camera images and explanation of your scalp condition are reviewed before and after the session. The professional staff use a variety of methods catered to you based on your image assessment to hydrate and relax you during your experience including steam, multiple hair masks and washes, variety of temperatures, head, neck, chest and shoulder massages. I left feeling wonderful and my hair and scalp felt clean, soft and silky. Hannah and Sophie were very professional and friendly. Extremely disappointing given the outrageously high price tag. The service was a glorified hair washing for a whopping $250 before tip. A quick 4 picture assessment saying basically nothing and off to a hair washing with minimal massage. The facility was extremely cold. Get ready to leave with wet hair if you don't feel like paying an additional $75 for it to be dried. There are equally nice places for a fraction of the price. Quite literally in my top five best spa experiences, and I make it a point to visit a spa every where I travel so I have been to hundreds. This is a hidden gem, walk through the doors and you are transported to a high end luxury spa, with the best accommodations possible. My facial, with Alex, was a one of a kind experience. She really understood my skin type, listened to my concerns, and provided an exceptional experience that left my skin glowing. And the facial massage - can I just say!!!!! The place is super cute, very cozy & relaxing. Tech was friendly & accommodating. Zero issues on service/hospitality. I booked after seeing social media buzz. Was it relaxing? Yes. Was it worth the $250 price tag? No. I thought it would be a lot more education on my scalp skin & hair. It was a couple quick photos (showed nothing imo) and a glorified hair washing. No education/tips/info. You're better off going to the salon and having your hair done for the price tag.
