Thank god I didn't get anything else. My appt was at noon. I was sick as a dog and called them while on my way to alert them I was running 5 minutes behind. The receptionists response was "oh, who, um Stephanie, I don't think she's ready for you anyways." I got there and was not offered any coffee, tea or even water. I sat, and I sat, and I sat. After 15 minutes I asked how late is the owner (the only stylist) running. I was not given a clear answer - instead I was asked what time was my appointment that I needed to make after my styling session. I'm sorry that is not an appropriate response. I waited 37 minutes past my appointment time before I was taken in the back. Then I saw why the holdup. The one stylist had 4 (i was the 5th) clients. Excuse me. I make an appointment for a ding dang reason. I was hot. The hair styling was meh, I can and often do better on my own. She's also not used to doing blow outs on my type of hair. The dryer was way too hot and she burned me. Eventually I had to hold up a wash cloth to my ear for protection. No ma'am. The makeup job was meh also - again I could have done better. I had to tell her to tone down the eye look...it was still daylight for goodness sake. I was also less than impressed with her makeup assortment. Ugh - I'm getting pissed now, this really is a 1 star establishment and I've updated my review as such. The service was just terrible. At this point I'm irritated because i see she's not removing my dead skin/cuticles and i tried communicating that but there was lack of understanding. I could've been more aggressive and gotten other people involved but i didn't. At this point i wanted to just finish up and leave. When she started painting i immediately regretted walking in. The paint job was pad. Lumpy, not on the edges of my nail. The simple nail art she agreed to know how to do, she did not. She had to wipe and redo several times. I stayed quiet and let her finish so i could just lay and leave. Overall the nails were $55 and i life $5 tip. I will never return here. She had a 1pm appointment and got a text message reminder, but this time it listed the address as being in NC and we live in TX. There are only two of these spas in the country, one being in Southlake, TX, near us and they are both independently operated. She frantically called to see what her options were at 8:30am as soon as the mistake was realized and the receptionist said she would get back to her after speaking with management. Her mother was visiting NC and we were looking at getting her to go in my wife's place to honor our appointment. My wife also offered to pay a $25-$50 cancellation fee because she made an honest mistake, if her mother couldn't make it. While we were waiting on a response from spa management and four hours before the appointment was scheduled, the spa charged the full amount of $240, canceled our appointment, and blocked my phone number after two calls, then blocked my wife's number. I ended up calling 133 times on a blocked number all day long and finally got a response from a manager. I eventually was given a half-refund but am still out $120.80. It took a few weeks to get ahold of the spa owner and when I notified him that I was disputing the charge with my credit card company, he insinuated my wife was an idiot for not noticing the mistake beforehand, yelled at me, then hung up. After speaking with the Southlake, TX spa, they informed us that the mix-up happens frequently when they get calls from NC residents. This whole experience has been extremely disheartening. What was supposed to be a loving gesture toward my wife has become a source of tears and frustration as we have spent hours on the phone with the credit card company and hours on the computer uploading documentation. The owner told me that his employees work on commission so they couldn't afford to not keep our money. If I wasted 90 minutes of their time when that employee wasn't working with a client, why couldn't someone have answered my call in thentime I was calling for 133 times? I have never left a negative review on a website (honestly) because I never take the time to review, but if I can save one person the frustration and put their mind at ease, then I am doing the one job that this spa can't.

Without question he started redoing them. A tip was put on one with an explanation that he couldn't do the others without doing a full set. That makes no sense, but it gets worse. He also says that when he does a dip on short nails, it's thin unless requested otherwise. I was excited to have the same color again with a freshly set of nails. It's now Wednesday two days later and THREE chipped nails.
