I came to The Head Spa Sanctuary with high hopes after seeing it all over TikTok, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype -- not even close. My friend and I booked two 60-minute "non-traditional head spa" sessions and, with tip, spent a whopping $435. For that price, you could get a full-body massage with a far better (and longer) head massage included.
What we received was essentially an extended hair wash -- minimal explanation, no education about the process, and maybe 10 minutes total of actual scalp massage. They provide an eye mask, but the room is still brightly lit -- not the calm, dark, spa-like atmosphere you'd expect for this kind of service.
Yes, the space is beautiful and very Instagrammable, but if you're looking for actual value and relaxation, you're much better off elsewhere. You can get the same wash and a cheaper blow dry at a regular salon for a fraction of the cost.
Absolutely do not recommend. This is a classic example of a TikTok trend that looks much better online than it feels in real life.

Kecia: Thank you for taking the time to respond. I want to clarify that my review wasn't due to confusion over what I booked -- I was fully aware I selected the Non-Traditional Head Spa. I didn't opt for the Traditional service because, frankly, I couldn't fathom spending even more on what was already marketed as a premium experience. My concerns had nothing to do with expecting microscopic analysis or advanced scalp work -- my issue was with the lack of value for the price and the absence of a truly relaxing experience.
For $435 (after tip) for two 60-minute services, what we received was a glorified hair wash. At most, 10 minutes were spent on actual massage, and we weren't told what products were being used or what steps were being taken. The room was bright, not calm or spa-like, and while the eye masks helped a little, the overall ambiance did not support a sense of restoration or luxury. If someone is booking a "head spa sanctuary," they're expecting a deeply sensory, immersive experience -- not just Instagram-worthy interiors.
I've had full-body massages at high-end spas that included longer, more effective head massage work for half the price. Even upscale blow-dry bars offer a better wash and scalp massage for a fraction of the cost, often with more personalized care and ambiance.
Also, while I understand you may not frequently receive this type of feedback, your business currently has a 3-star average rating on multiple platforms, and the most common criticism from other guests aligns with mine: it's significantly overpriced for what's delivered. I hope you'll take this as a cue to re-evaluate not only the service tiers and descriptions, but also the overall guest experience, from lighting to communication to massage quality.
I truly wanted to love this experience -- and I believe there is potential here -- but in its current form, it simply didn't meet expectations, especially at this price point. read more
