I called on a whim to see if they had any last minute openings and was able to get in for a facial. The spa itself is beautiful! The location was great, parking was plenty and easy. Had a great 60 minute massage with Ashley in the Dilworth location. My experience was seamless with great customer service-- I just messaged the Instagram account asking for availability and was able to book an appointment super easily! When I arrived, there was lots of parking available right up front. You do have to walk up stairs to get to their location, so keep that in mind. First, I would like to start by saying that I love, love, love Toccare. I have been to this spa several times and I am finally writing an overdue review. Located on busy Providence road it's a little tough maneuvering through traffic to get here but I assure you it's well worth it. I have been to another highly rated spa for a facial and I come back to Toccare time and time again because the facials are top of the line. Caci the owner always does my facials and she is the best. Not to mention that she is super nice and the attention to detail that she gives to your skin is awesome. The step by step process she takes when doing your facials leaves you feeling like you are definitely getting your money's worth. Think about it this way why would you have appetizer, entrée, and dessert when you can have a whole five course meal with excellent customer service....trust me you will get what I mean when you go. She used the Eminence brand on me which is a popular organic skincare line that I have seen that other spas use. After a facial with Caci my skin is glowing for days. She makes sure you enjoy your experience and asks you how you are doing during the process. I have had two facials now at Toccare and I've been so impressed. The spa is beautiful with a very relaxed vibe. The treatment rooms are comfortable - not too hot and not too cold. The beds are heated and comfortable. They use natural products that are not too harsh on the skin and they take the time to treat YOU - you may not get the same facial every time and you may not get the same facial as your bestie. They determine what your skin needs at that time. I see Alessandra - she's the sweetest! Very knowledgeable, gentle and kind. I'm having such a hard time starting this review because I feel like my words will only cheapen the experience that I had. Words can not describe the experience I had at Toccare. I love ...love LOVE getting facials. It's a massage for my face, time that I get to actually shut off my phone, my hiding place...my tranquil getway. Lets get down to Toccare and the fact that this is probably by far the best location and place in Charlotte. Here's why: Location: SUPER easy to find. It's off of providence rd in Myer's Park. Parking during the day is a breeze and next to an Italian restuarant and a linen boutique. I seriously need to check out those places, too! Atmoshpere: Love it. It's a sunroom turned into a Day Spa! Super cozy, super quante and it smells heavenly in there. Shaby Chic decor with great sunlight to calm you while you wait for your spa service. Now to the nitty gritty. My Facial. Janiese was awesome. I can say I've had my fair share of facials. And this one was by far the most relaxing, most rewarding, most soothing facial I've had since moving to Charlotte. You can really tell that she loves what she does and knows about skin care. My face was a dry oily mess and now it's perfectly balanced and feels really good. I know I shouldn't touch my face but I can't help it! The products that TOCCARE use are all natural and all organic ingredients. I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeed my neck massage that she gave me while my FIRST mask was setting and I think I drooled a little bit. Two things I noticed that she does that I haven't experienced before. I was a tad cold but I'm always cold even if it's 70 degrees out and didn't think anything of it. Slowly I began to feel heat coming from my toosh area and thought "man..I'm only 36...why is my butt warm and ....am I having a hot flash??" and then I realized that the bed was warming up!! She turned it on for me just to keep me nice and cozy!! WHATTTT?!?!? Snug as a bug. The second thing that I've never experienced that she did was when my SECOND mask was setting she gave me the most soothing, relaxing arm and HAND massage. This was not just any hand massage like you get when you get a mani...this was a body massage for your hands. I teared up a little bit. I was in totally bliss and was in a relaxation high...and I fell asleep...crap. Good thing I had another hand/arm and I was determined to stay awake for that..hahahaha sooo awesome. She put my eye cream on and that's always lets me know that the facial is coming to an end....I joked and said "did you forget a mask? Maybe you forgot a step?" I never want that experience to end. She asked "how do you feel?" I said nothing. I had a hard time forming words. I had nothing to say other than a big deep sigh. It was that good. Best Day Spay gem in CLT. Best massage I've ever had. I saw Paulette, and would definitely recommend her to others. It's difficult to describe what exactly I enjoyed in words. She applied the right amount of pressure and used different techniques I had not previously experienced. What a great day spa in an adorable location--right in the heart of Myers Park. They offer a peaceful atmosphere, top of the line products and some of the best services in the Charlotte area. Janiese is a wonderful esthetician that truly cares about her clients. She has the perfect touch and is a true professional. I like to stay consistent in where I get waxed and she has done an outstanding job for the past several years. She helped even out my brutal eyebrows that were totally botched by some hag years ago. Janiese had very little to work with but she has managed to make them beautiful. I've had several bikini waxes by Janiese as well and they are always perfect! :) She recently introduced me to hard wax which I LOVE! It is so much better than the strips and I found it to be less painful! It is so easy...must try! I like that Janiese is always researching, learning and growing in this industry. I'm so happy with my experience at Toccare I don't know where to begin! I recently saw Caci for a brow wax, and came back the next week for a 60 minute facial...both services were amazing! Location: I love the location. I live uptown and it's very easy to get to, parking is always available and it's a breeze to come and go. It's in Myers Park, very central and easy to get to from any direction. It's just Caci (and a massage therapist) in the business, so it's very private and the experience feels very personal. You are not being hurried in/out to make room for the next guest. I'm female and loved it, and it would be PERFECT for men looking to get the occasional waxing, facial or massage service without feeling like they're at a spa and surrounded by women. Ambiance: For me, it's perfect. Very minimalist but welcoming. Caci does have retail available, but you are not bombarded with shelves busting with products when you walk in the door. Her priority is taking care of your skin and educating you on what's important to maintain and treat. When you walk in the door, there is a beautiful aroma that's spa-like but not overwhelming. I asked her about the aroma...she said it's just the products she's using during services (love that!) Services: I've been getting brow waxes for 15 years...and this was one of the best! I have the unfortunate nervous habit of pulling out my eyebrows, and sometimes this can be a challenge for the person trying to maneuver around the occasional thin/bald patch. Caci did a phenomenal job...I haven't even had to use makeup to fill them in! I came in a few days later for a 60 minute facial, which she customizes based on her expert evaluation of your skin (she has over 10 years of experience in the industry) and your concerns. The facial was so relaxing...but also effective! It's been days since my service and my skin is still soft, smooth and glowing! Products: I love the products she uses and can't wait for my next facial. She even sent me home with several samples, so I can try them out for a few days and decide if I would like to continue using the products at home.
