This place is really cool. I walked in and even though it wasn't super busy, I really liked the vibe. I would say the only thing that hurts this place is that it is so far away and in the middle of nowhere. Wing night on Thursday is our fave, we get two huge glasses of Yuelingling beer and 15 wings with celery and blue cheese and ranch ... for $17! We are from Texas and we're in the area waiting for family to get into the airport. Searched for places to eat and stumbled into The Hangar. Local, family owned and it did not disappoint. We both got wings (the hangar dust was awesome) and the fries were fresh cut with skin on just like I like them. Our waitress was attentive. It is a really nice place but make sure you check your receipt before you pay your bill because it's more often than not I'm overcharged which happened again tonight. And if you catch on to it then they just say they can't take the bill back and give you chips for drinks later. I'm not sure what the scam is. The only reason I'm giving my review 3 stars is because of the service we started out with during our dinner. At first we had a waitress who seemed younger and probably someone who never held a job previously. She was horrible, didn't get refills or even ask us if we wanted refills, never checked on us; we had to flag her down twice. She didn't even pick up the dirty dishes they started to just pile up. A group of us descended upon this bar on a night where partying was in order. The exterior reminded me of the bars the Terminator would go into when he first landed on earth and take some biker's gear by force. As we entered we were happy to see there were only 2 people there (more room for us to engage in buffoonery). The bartender was eager to serve but I can't say she was happy. Liquor, beer, shots...it was about 3 bucks for anything. We went over to shoot pool and the tables are a whopping 75 cents. There is a jukebox too but the software was a little outdated and it made it hard to pick the song you wanted. For some reason it picked the song above or below the one you tried to select. The songs on it weren't the most popular ones of the artist's either...it was strange. As the place got packed the bartender seemed to get a little backed up at times but to give her credit, we were thirsty and she was alone. There is food on the menu but we didn't try any. It does need a through cleaning, but if you can get past that the (bar) food is pretty darn good. No, its not an an Airplane Hangar, which would make it 10x cooler automatically- but it has the makings of a great little bar. Decent food, good beer on tap (Octoberfest), and ample space on the patio to have fun with your friends. Nothing amazing but I had a pretty good time here at a minimal cost. Normally I am very pleased with the food here. However recently it is going down hill. We order lunch for our office here often. I almost always get the same thing, grilled chicken salad. Today I ordered my normal. I don't get egg, onion or black olive so I know that limits what will be on it. Today I received some lettuce, a spoon full of tomato, three cucumber slices, seven fries and the chicken. I couldn't even find any cheese. If I am paying almost $12 for a salad I expect a little more than lettuce that you can buy for under $2 a head and a piece of chicken. Very disappointed in my lunch today.
