The Halal Guys - Dinner - Halal Near Me - Denver, Colorado

I was looking for some really good middle Eastern food because I lived in Dearborn and loved the food! So if anyone has lived in Dearborn Michigan knows what I'm talking about. At Halal Guys - presentation is everything and I think maybe having is set up like Chipotle for us to see the food, smell the food and the spices would be great! The aroma filling the air? The falafel, was dry and not soft and moist - the hummus not sure what brand they purchase maybe a new brand and the pita bread was really dry too. I was disappointed in my fries - the oil maybe was the difference or maybe my taste buts are off not sure but just wasn't happy with how my food tasted. I wonder if this is a food chain if so does it taste different in other communities read more

One of our favorite places to eat! You get fresh food with good portions with fast service. Staff is always friends and the restaurant is very clean. Caution: 2 lines of red sauce is hotttt! So unless you like spicy, my husband recommends one line red sauce and lots of white sauce! read more

Excellent spot for a quick, delicious and healthy meal. I tried the new Sriracha Honey Falafel today and it is by far my favorite. If you like it spicy get all the toppings and add 4 lines of hot sauce on top of the white sauce. Bomb!! In addition to the great food, the staff at this location are some of the nicest people. Excellent and friendly service every visit. We plan to be back soon and will download the app for perks. read more

I had high hopes for a light, fresh meal and that's not what I got. It was light in that there was zero flavor. And it didn't taste fresh... it definitely felt like everything had been sitting their all day drying out. It was also very pricey for what you are getting! Service, however, was very nice and the shop was kept clean. read more

I went early to The Halal Guys because the last few times I tried to go the place was packed. I got the combo platter w gyro beef and chicken. I added jalapeños, black olives, and onions. I also got white sauce which I'm not 100% sure what it was and also got a plate of fries and a coke. The good: the French fries were hot and weren't sitting around. Not sure what it's like any other time , but pretty much fried to order. The other thing I would say that was good was the coke. The bad: the chicken and beef was dry. I read this on a few other comments, but I was hoping since I went early enough in the day this wouldn't be an issue. Not sure how early they prepared the protein , but I would have thought at 1115AM this wouldn't have been an issue. The service was really good and friendly. I might try one more time since it's one of the "healthier" fast food options in the neighborhood. read more

There's only one word to describe our visit here today: nostalgic. We were instantly transported to the streets of NY back to our younger years. I didn't even know nor cared what was white sauce/red sauce, I just knew I wanted it all over my food. Gimme gimme! Needless to say, I was sooo happy when The Halal Guys opened up in Central Park. Disappointed it took me this long to visit, but it was friggin' delicious. It's not exactly like the NY cart, but I also saved on airfare and what truly is ever like the original? We ordered the beef and chicken combo platter and beef gyro sandwich. How I've missed you! Satisfied the craving for sure and definitely the best Colorado has to offer. read more

On Grubhub, the platter shows four wings, but twice, I've only gotten two. This may constitute deceptive advertising practices, so I am requesting two resolutions. 1. I need at least a partial refund for not receiving what was advertised to me. 2. Please begin providing four wings again, or update your advertisement to reflect what diners would actually receive. I first reached out about this ten days ago and would like a reply on this matter. Thank you. read more

Went there for lunch. Quick and simple menu. Either pita or platter. I wish they had kabobs but I ordered the beef gyro pita and my friend ordered the falafel platter. My gyro pita was ordinary but my friend let me try her falafel and I really liked it. It was different and had a little tangy flavor to it. We also ordered the hibiscus lemonade which was tasty. Prices weren't bad. I'll come back if I'm craving Mediterranean food. read more

I really wanted to like the establishment. Their advertising is really good but essentially you're getting a bowl of rice and salad topped with some meat nothing fancy nothing super flavorful by any means and it's really expensive $20 for a regular size bowl. I got a side of hummus, which was a small blop from a miniature ice cream scoop, about enough to put on one small piece of pita bread The food wasn't good or bad Just plain. The service, however was good. The staff was nice and friendly, but it's not somewhere that I will be visiting again. read more

Halal Guys is our go-to spot, and for good reason! We find ourselves coming back time and time again for the platters, smothered in that awesome white sauce. Be careful with the red sauce as it is hot. Service is fast similar to that of a Chipotle. Inside is always clean and nice though we usually take the food to go. It's become our neighborhood staple, and we are happy they have come to Colorado! read more

Went to Halal guys with my picky teenagers. They are normally chicken tender and fries kids but they were willing to try Halal guys. Service was great, they answered questions about the dishes and we got the popular beef platter. I like spicy so they recommended the red sauce and warned me it was quite spicy. Listen, I'm Asian so spicy is like Thai chili peppers. But they were not wrong this red sauce is spicy but the good kind where I want to add more! The white sauce I thought would be too much but it paired so well with the favored beef and spicy sauce. Pita was great to help the spicy heat lol! I really liked the yellow rice too (good texture and flavor) It was quite a large portion and we had leftovers to take home. The teens loved it and we looked they have another location close to us and they're on DoorDash too! We also tried the hummus (omg add the red spicy sauce to this too) and the chocolate chip cookies (warm and melted chips) Btw I saw someone else order the sandwich and they added fries into the pita! Why didn't I order the fries too?? Next time! read more

This place was really good, but not as good as the one in New York. I loved the spicy sauce and white sauce they give. Just be careful if you're sensitive to spicy food, the red sauce is the hottest sauce I've tried in a while. The fries were mediocre but the combination platter was awesome. I loved the lean meat they gave and the chicken was tender and juicy. read more

The good: Food is excellent. Good food, reasonably priced. The mid: Not a lot of options but does make they great at what they do. The bad: I paid almost $4 for double Gyro. Instead they gave me double spicy chicken which is obviously cheaper. Could have been a mistake. Could have been a ploy to save money and screw the customer. Either way, I was VERY disappointed after checking the receipt and seeing I had ordered correctly. Check your food before you leave. I should have taken an image. I will next time if it happens again. They reached out to me on here. I messaged them and they did nothing. Don't think that because they take ten seconds to respond to the review that they actually care about your business. It's all smoke and mirrors. Skip this joint. Too many others that WANT you as customers in the area. read more

Excited to try this place. Walked in and food already prepared sitting in warmers, similar to chipotle but tastes worse. For a gyro wrap and meat plate this was $34. The gyro was chopped in tiny pieces and was very dry and had a bad taste. The meat plate was 80% bland rice. The shavings of gyro were tiny. Service was fine but won't return. read more

So I've had OG Halal Guys in NYC before and it's absolutely delicious. This isn't the exact same as what you get from the NYC cart, but it's decent. The Good: I love the platters because the rice is absolutely amazing. I can't get enough of it. The white sauce is also addictive and just necessary to appreciate Halal Guys, and I highly recommend the hot sauce but BE FOREWARNED that it is SERIOUSLY hot. When I get Halal Guys I literally will just put a dab of it on a separate plate and dip my fork in it before I eat from the platter because it is SO easy to overdo the hot sauce. Phenomenal. The Meh: I've had much better hummus but it's decent. Falafel is good but isn't as crispy as I personally like it. The Bad: idk what is going on with their chicken these days omg. It used to be pretty good and well seasoned and it's been really bland and pale and sad recently. The gyro makes up for it but like...idk what happened to the chicken recipe. read more

Came here for opening weekend and the food was great! Got a combo platter with falafel and gyros. It had a good amount of veggies and meat. Everything tasted great and the pita was so soft and warm. The staff was helpful and nice. They came around with extra white land red sauce while we were eating, which was great as well. Will definitely be back! read more

I was out with my co-workers when they suggested Halal Guys, this place wasn't on my radar but I was outvoted. When we arrived, there were a fair number of customers in line (somewhat expected because it was lunchtime). I didn't mind, this gave me somewhat enough time to yelp for suggestions. The line moved along smoothly, and I ended up ordering the Beef Gyro Platter. I was pleasantly surprised, the Beef Gyro Platter was really tasty, and their white sauce really tied the gyro meat and pita bread together nicely. In addition to taste, the portion size was quite generous. For sure I'll be adding this place to my lunch rotation! read more

Food - well not much on the menu. I get it though it's a fast food joint. My only down fall is that the food is quite dry. I got one chicken and one beef gyro platter. The meat must have been sitting for a while I had crispy pieces and even with the sauce it was really dry. Not much sauce and I also got hot sauce as well and that didn't help much. Service- staff was super friendly. Even upsold me on a cookie. Cleanliness- the place is new so it looks good and the tables where clean and the floor. Only been here once though. I was just hoping for something a little more interesting. read more

I pulled out my yelp app to see where to have dinner. I saw a The Halal guys and got excited it was in Denver. I actually called my wife to brag I was going to go here for dinner, we love this place. I've been to The Halal guys in Phoenix, Seattle, vegas, Orange County and the original ones in Manhattan. I usually order lunch / dinner for myself and bring a bowl home as leftovers. This location was not good. Everything was dry AF. The girl rushed though to make my order and seemed like she was ignoring me. Please go back to franchise school and do it the right way. Next time I'm in Denver again, I'll give it another chance..but only 1 more. read more

Fast food Greek, but good, fresh and clean location. Service was great and in a nice safe area.

How exciting to see a Halal Guys location in Denver! We came to the Aurora location a couple of times before, but Denver is more convenient coming from the North side of town. Parking was a breeze and we were lucky that there wasn't a long line when we arrived during dinner hour. Service was quick and friendly. I usually prefer chicken, but at Halal Guys, I love the beef. It's so flavorful and easy to chew. I got the beef platter and fries. The platter was generously loaded. Love the fresh lettuce and tomatoes, they balanced perfectly with the meat and rice. And all slathered in the white sauce. Mmmmm. The fries were fried in fresh oil, not like some places where you can taste/smell that they are using old oil. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. My daughters gave the food and experience 10/10. We will be back regularly. read more

Service - not good. Everyone seemed confused. Food - not good. How do you get Halal wrong? And its not even real Tziki sauce? Even the ketchup wasnt good. Cost - not good. $6 mark up for lamb at a halal spot? Are you kidding? $2.50 for two tiny falafel balls? For real? Eco-friendly - ok. some paper products but mostly plastic utensils. Family was looking forward to this new spot and wow were we disappointed. Dont go here. Go two doors down to Torchy's. Sorry for the tough review but...it was 1* read more

Came here on a weekday and it was a great choice for a lazy weeknight dinner! Food has always been consistent and delish! I got their chicken platter and the portions are huge! Overpriced, pita bread was stale and charged for sauce that used to be part of the meal.

The last time I was at the Halal Guys was 8 years ago in New York. Living in Steamboat Springs, I never found my way to their Aurora location. However, I had the pleasure to visit this location on the way to the airport. I was greeted by their friendly staff. Ordered a chicken platter with a tea. Can we say nostalgia? The sauce was as creamy as I remembered and chicken cooked right. The tea was a bit sweet for me but that's personal preference. I definitely will stop by more often when I'm in the area. read more

I wish I could give this place no stars. Was able to go for free thank goodness. My daughter & I went in since we had coupons to try this place. As we entered it's a fast food place. I was hoping to order a lamb dish but the girl behind the counter said they don't have lamb.....really!! I ordered beef which was so dried out I didn't even want to finish but was hungry. My daughter had chicken which was also dried out. I do not recommend this place. Staff was rude also. Dave your money go to one of the other restaurants next to them. I can't believe it is still there. The food doesn't look like it does in the pictures I promise. read more
