New family owns the restaurant BUT the menu is mostly the same. SOME items have changed but the spirit of the place is the same imo. I spoke with the family when they first took over and they said the previous owners trained them on how they did all the recipes etc. The only thing I've noticed is the tahini needs some work. Not digging this place. My salad came out with half the lettuce looking pst it's prime (e.g. brown). They've significantly raised thier prices, thier service has declined, and they nickel and dime you for everything. Extra salad dressing...$0.50. Refills on your fountain drink...$1.00. Regarding Falafel King products, "supposedly" available in grocery stores in the Denver area... Many Falafel King products, formerly available, have simply disappeared from Whole Foods. Whole Foods staff at the stores cannot tell me why. I reached out to Falafel King via "Contact Us" on their website, to ask what was going on... did they discontinue certain products, did Whole Foods stop carrying certain products, or what? Falafel King IGNORED ME COMPLETELY. I continue to have no idea what is going on. I am going to find another brand. I won't be buying Falafel King products in Denver any more. read more

We came on a Friday afternoon and the place was pretty quiet. We ordered the Gyro combo. It was a pretty good deal and the portion size was decent. The sides were already premade and the server only had to warm up the lamb. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the decor was pleasant. It was a great place to try out. read more

Awesome falafel sandwich! This place was dead when I came in, but as good as this place is, I don't know why it ever would be. This is a fantastic vegan option for those who enjoy Mediterranean cuisine. This pita contained 4 yummy falafel, a generous application of tahini and hummus, and a HEAPING pile of mixed greens. All of this did get very messy and I ended scooping about half of the fillings out of the basket with my fork, but it's a pretty good value for 8 bucks. The whole vibe of the place is pretty cool. It definitely feels like a Mediterranean restaurant though it's not really authentic. Still a very good and satisfying meal though. read more

I stopped here in a time of hungry desperation. I got the falafel pocket pita with the house eggplant as my salad and hot sauce. The pita was overall okay. It was a bit structurally unstable, as it was stuffed to the max with stuff. This along with my fervent hunger prevented me from taking a photo #yelperfail. The falafel was fresh and tasted fine, but I found it to be pretty run of the mill. I think the sandwich could be improved with a warm pita and maybe chunkier falafel. What really made this pita sing were the nice fresh mix of vegetables, the house eggplant, and the hot sauce. The lettuce green mix was peppery and had a great crunch. The house eggplant was a bit messy but amazing in flavor. I savored each chunk of roasted eggplant and wanted more. I also dropped a bunch on me but luckily I wear dark clothes. My coworkers are obsessed with this joint. Like really. They go a few times per week and always come back with the most drool worthy lunches. Order the chicken gyro, as it's stocked full of salad, veggies and loaded into a perfectly toasted pita! Their salads are bomb too! CON: Loaded with sauce, it can be pretty messy. PRO: Staff is ultra friendly, helpful and nice. CON: Due to the lunch rush, things can get a little backed up! PRO: Falafel balls are small, breaded and perfectly fried. CON: They are kind of (too) small, and cost $3 for 3 of them! PRO: Portions are decent sized! CON: It's kind of expensive for what you get. Lunch costs just short of $15 for a gyro and a side. Very friendly location for freshly cooked Gyros. I had no problems making a special order and adding double meat to my lunch which made me very happy. The meats are tossed on the grill when ordered so they are nice and hot. Large parking lot next door since they are on a very busy street. First of the food was really not that great, I ordered the sampler with sharwama, the server told me it was chicken and when l get the food it beef.... wth Then the rest of the food had no flavor whatsoever. The falafels too dry and taste not good, salad was just plain with toppings and that's it. Seriously the sharwama smelled a bit funky, the yogurt sauce they give you on the side was nothing but flavorless. Then, the service was just ok nothing great about it. Delicious food at a good price. I'm a meat eater, I love burgers and usually feel cheated by going to any restaurant/food place where meat isn't on the menu. But the taste of the mix of foods here is exceptional and I didn't miss meat once. Good size portions and a mix of different Mediterranean combos mean you can enjoy lots of different tastes. I like it even more since I feel virtuous and healthy eating here. I love Buffalo Wild Wings, I love burgers and grease. I came here for a quick lunch today. The falafel plate hit the spot, but it's definitely not my favorite Mediterranean food in the city. This is one of multiple locations and it has an interesting mix of a locally owned and chain vibes. It was fun to watch the falafel machine drop balls of batter into the fryer, I'd never seen that before. It is also pretty cool that they have their own brand of pita and hummus. I want to like this place. I really do. I love Mediterranean food and this place is walking distance of where I live. So I was a bit disappointed that it fell flat. Here's the deal. On the plus side - the food is pretty good. Can't say I disliked the chicken gyro sandwich that I ordered, nor can I say that I disliked the falafel that I requested on the side. It was also refreshing to have the nice young lady behind the counter make conversation with me while I waited for my food but... On the negative side - the prices here are too high. The meal that I described above was nearly $12 w/tax and did not include a drink. The sandwich wasn't bad but wasn't exactly filled as much as it could've been for the price they charge. The falafel consisted of 4 tiny balls. Needless to say, I was still hungry after I ate this meal. I also wish they had more combination deals that would include a side and drink with your sandwich somewhere around the tune of $10 or less. I would give this place no stars if possible. Alas, one cannot review a place unless you give at least one. This place is literal garbage. Hot garbage (if you're lucky to get your food HOT). The women in this place have no customer service skills and by the looks of it no cleaning skills either. Bathrooms are atrocious. The falafel has this undertone of vomit and the meat is dry. To solve the meat issue, a side of tzatziki could aid. However as a Greek I will not pay 50 cents for a tiny, tiny cup because there's is not even that good. Completely missed the mark. It's runny like soup. Ridiculous. My friends and I ate here and that night we all were terribly ill. Whomever owns this place is a joke. The girl said it's a he so, if HE is reading this, you're a joke. Hire some workers that actually care about your customers and the food you serve. You must have just as terrible work ethic.
