She cut 9.5 inches off my hair into the hair line when all she was asked to do was trim the bottom of my hair and trim the bangs. It turned into a hack job that will now take years to grow out. And because she cut into my hairline on the sides, that 1.5" hacked hair is going into my eyeballs when I am outside with the wind blowing. Doing my hair in the morning is annoying because I have to try to weed out the hacked off pieces. Ulta lost my family's business for sure.

During the haircut, I explained that I wanted my long layers to start higher. Midway through the service, the stylist stepped away to attend to another client. When she returned, she quickly finished the cut without checking back in on the layering or confirming how I wanted it styled. There was no offer to curl or style my hair at the end of the appointment. I left feeling disappointed because I expected to walk out with a finished look, not have to go home and do the styling myself. Overall, the experience felt rushed and inattentive, which did not meet my expectations for a professional appointment.

I don't know if it is the light placement or the tone of the light, but I looked pretty ragged in the mirror. My hair looked frizzy and gross and not at all like me. I commented to the stylist about it and she agreed that many clients have similar comments. So - as long as you understand that what the mirror shows isn't really what you look like, then your expectations will be met. The staff was very friendly. I chose Salon 124 because some online reviews of other local salon staff sort of scared me away from the other salons. I don't want a "snobby" salon. I want a salon that will be happy to see me, whether I am a mom who just needs an afternoon away from home or whether I am a fashionista who cares about the latest hair trends. She gladly accepted my money along with a shipping fee and then when she mailed the packaged a week later and was informed by usps that the package wouldn't arrive until after valentines day she decided sending me a message with a "sorry its late" not my fault or problem type of an attitude instead of trying to make things right for the customer. She then stated in a message that she was "nice enough to mail it" and everyone else she mailed to in her local area aren't getting them late and because mine was out of state that's why. I gave her NINE business days to get this package to me by Valentines day.
