I don't know if it is the light placement or the tone of the light, but I looked pretty ragged in the mirror. My hair looked frizzy and gross and not at all like me. I commented to the stylist about it and she agreed that many clients have similar comments. So - as long as you understand that what the mirror shows isn't really what you look like, then your expectations will be met. The staff was very friendly. I chose Salon 124 because some online reviews of other local salon staff sort of scared me away from the other salons. I don't want a "snobby" salon. I want a salon that will be happy to see me, whether I am a mom who just needs an afternoon away from home or whether I am a fashionista who cares about the latest hair trends. I want to walk in to smiles and a "Welcome! We are happy to have you."

Jessie, the owner, makes me feel like I'm such a special person when I walk through the door. I feel like we've know each other for years, she's so laid back and easy to talk to. I tell everybody I know that lives out that way to go stop by La Boheme for the best experience in town. I don't know what these other Negative Nancy reviewers are talking about. I guess there's some people you just can't please no matter how far you bend over backwards, which is exactly what all the ladies do at LaBoheme in Monroe. I wish I had more hair just so I could spend more time with all the wonderful women who make LaBoheme such an amazing salon.
