This Salon is staffed with wonderful friendly people. The hairdressers I am aware of are awesome, Jessica and Gina. I think they are all good though! If you want a mens hair cut, they will do a much better job than a barber but expect to pay more, but not too much more, for the quality you will get. The antique house is really nice and updated as well which is pleasant. They do have some womens clothing and accessories for the lady's. No guy stuff except hair products for men. I've been coming to this salon for the past 12 years and even after moving 1 hour 30 minutes away from this town, I still make the drive. After moving, I unfortunately tried salons that are closer to my house but they do not give me results that look as good as when i come to Serendipity. Definitely worth the drive. Jessica is AMAZING!! I always wanted "fashion" colored hair but my natural hair color is a very dark brown with red undertones. Bleaching my hair is extremely difficult as it turns orange easily. I've had many stylists in the past attempt to do this but they would tell me it wasn't possible or they made my hair end up feeling like straw and a hideous orange. Jessica bleached my ENTIRE head and I got the perfect white blonde color, she then did multiple tones of blue and teal so my hair would have tons of dimension. Not only were the colors beautiful but my hair was even softer then when we started. I've never felt more beautiful and confident. I get compliments on my hair everyday and everyone is amazed at my color retention (because she also told me how to care for and maintain my color) I cannot recommend her enough! She will be my stylist till I die!!! read more

Beware of this salon if you need your hair colored. I was seeing Jessica and I came home one day to a sloppy, hot mess. I had made certain she knew that ALL my hair needed to be colored. But...I had large sections of skipped hair. There were two inch gray roots all over my head. I went back and made her redo it. She pouted and gave attitude the whole time. Afterwards, I believed that she would do my hair correctly. She did a couple times so I know she understood what I was saying...even though I think she is kinda' slow. Then the last time I was there I looked up from my magazine and she was doing it again...COLOR/SKIP...color/skip...color/skip!!!! I told her she would have to do the sections she was skipping. She was seething with anger and her lip was poked out 4 inches from pouting. She was cutting my hair and she had scissors just inches away from my head and I was terrified of her...everyone else had gone for the day and her anger and contempt was palpable! Again, she was cutting it incorrectly...I told her I always wanted my hair cut bluntly...she had thinning shears she was using on my ends and the back of my hair. When I blow dry it...this just frizzes!!!! So, I let her finish, all the while she just seethed. I paid and left her a generous tip because I was afraid of her!!!! And the thing is these people wanted 100% of their fee...not 50% of it for only coloring 50% of my hair...and not 1/3 of their fee for only doing one third of my hair. And she had begun putting 2-3 inch wide sections of hair in one foil so I looked like people did in the 70's when they "streaked" their hair. I have to let this all grow out before anyone can go back and correct it!!! Stay away!!!! read more
