I've tried a lot of places and they've finished messing up with my hair. In summary... the barber was not wrong at all. Ruth herself is the one that cut my hair and she did a great job. You could see how good she is on how she grabs the comb and the clippers, in 15 minutes i was ready to go. The place is clean and everybody is very friendly. UPDATE: this was the wrong salon, I'm so sorry that this affected your salon. like I said I was in…read moreGeorgia visiting so I am not from the area but I did research both salons and looked at google street view and its definetly ROOT 78 HAIR SALON at 295 Athens hwy, not hair salon 78. so sorry it took so long to update this post, I am rarely ever on yelp. but I hope this will help! 1 star review I originally posted, but this is the wrong salon. my fauly, this 1 star review is fro root 78 hair salon. my aunt referred me to this place to a gal that does her hair, so i trusted her, as i never let anyone cut my hair I'm super picky, and haven't cut it in over a yr for that reason, I'm scared to let anyone new cut my hair but i needed to trim the ends. so first of all my hair WAS down to my tail bone, i wanted to keep it long, i showed the gal a picture of how i wanted my hair to look, long with alot of layers/short layers. she first showed me how much she was going to cut off, a couple inches which i said was fine, that way it's still long...ummm i have no idea how she ended up cutting my hair so short!!!!!!! and didn't even do layers like i asked, i had to also tell her a second time that i wanted my hair v shaped, i am so devastated. i will never let anyone cut my hair again, this was a terrible experience and i am still very upset. she also did highlights in my hair which i do like, but i also think she way over charges. come to find out she didn't do layers because she was afraid i wouldn't like it because she had already cut it to short, i wish she would have just told me and asked me if i still wanted them.
