It's a mix for me. The ambiance was amazing, great lighting and not too loud. The parking lot was…read morefull of water but honestly that didn't bother me at all, it added to the vibe of the place. I got the spicy ramen and my partner got the chicken non spicy one, please refer to pics as I forgot the name... highly recommend getting the chicken ramen, the broth is light and savory, additionally lots of protein and veggies to make it the perfect ramen bowl. The spicy ramen was okay, I love spice but this one was a bit starchy as if too much starch was used to thicken the broth. The noodles were also way too soft; and there's very little protein. I got beansprout as an add on and that was $2; a bit much if added onto the bowl.

Our food arrived fairly quickly as well. All of the staff are very friendly & attentive. The space is cool, very relaxing & open. As for the food, it was very, very SALTY. The mussels were good but once you reach the bottom of the bowl it was salty. The flavor of the wings were good but also salty. The ramen was also extremely salty as well so it seems like everything they make here is just overall on the salty side. If they just lessened every dish on that part, it would be perfect. But especially the ramen was very hard to eat without drinking 5 cups of water. The shirley temple was delicious tho! Food is 3/5 but service is a 5/5. So I will say the service definitely saved the rating from 3 stars.

    Taino Restaurant

Taino Restaurant: RIP My Skinny Jeans …read moreI came for the Pernil, but I stayed because I physically couldn't get back out of the booth. The Mofongo: A garlic-infused masterpiece. My breath is now a biohazard, and I regret nothing. The Portions: They don't serve "meals"; they serve "challenges." One order of rice and beans could easily be used as a weighted blanket. Verdict: Go here if you want to be happy, full, and incapable of movement for 4-6 hours.

I don't rightly know how to review a restaurant I didn't intend to eat at…read more It's not entirely my fault -- the signs outside say "Havana Nights". In five different places. The parking is for Havana Nights. Imagine our surprise when we were handed menus for "The Fokin Ninja" or Taino. That name isn't anywhere. I still don't know what this place is called. I asked our server if the awesome Cuban place moved, and got the weirdest response.. something like "Ahh.. Ohh.. yeah, let me get someone to help you." I probably should have packed up and studied the situation from somewhere else? There were changes in April and it's not Cuban any more. But we were seated with waters and Fokin Ninja menus, so maybe there's some crossover. I don't even know how to describe the menu; you can read it here. Some kind of Mexican-Asian fusion? Prices are steep, from the $18 cocktails to the $30-$40+ entrees. They did have a few specialty rolls for $10, so I tried a few. Look, maybe beef and chicken fusion rolls are your thing, but today I learned that they are not mine. Not at all. Dry beef, dry shredded chicken on top, and the weirdest mash of flavors and textures does not make a delightful roll. Sticky sweet brown sauce with bacon and cream cheese and some sliver of maybe roast beef? Nope nope nope. There just wasn't anything delicious about them.. just weird stuff wrapped in rice and called a fusion roll. The fried fish plate (Pescado Frito) for $32 was pretty good. Hot, fresh, good size, but just bland and unseasoned, as far as I could tell. Came with chimichuri sauce and fried plantains. Fried rice for $22. Loud and cold in there. This is also the first place in Worchester that puts the Tip right on the tab. Not a service charge, just "Tip" and they picked it for you. There is a line where you can write in an additional tip. It ain't right. I can't think of anything that would merit a second star. The kicker? The receipt says "Havana Nights"! I would have enjoyed eating there instead.

We got a yellowtail appetizer to start. The slices were thicker than I'm used to for a crudo. I felt something was missing. The sushi and the oyster shooter however were really good! Got two of my favorite rolls - Godzilla and Celtic roll. Along with a couple basic rolls. The Godzilla has a slight sweetness from the banana but it does not take away from the savory flavor profiles. The Celtic roll is a great balance of crunch and smoothness from the avocado. By far- the oyster shooter is my favorite menu item. I got two. Could have had 8 more! I love baba! Hope they continue to stay in business and keep the quality and service consistent as it has always been!

Sashimi deluxe with rainbow maki- quality of the sashimi was excellent! Thick cut and freshness in color and taste. Rainbow maki was great too! Spicy hamachi and tiger eye maki were soooo good! Salmon roe nigiri are so good! The only complaint is the spider maki. The soft shell crab tempura was stale and tasted awful! The special maki from the season special was excellent! Good balance of the texture and well balanced taste! Excellent presentation and great balanced of rice flavor!!!

Trying to get ahead of possible negative reviews for New Years Eve…read more Sadly this place was not prepared for the volume of orders they received tonight My pickup order was scheduled to be ready at 6:07pm but at 7:15pm I decided to go home for a while. The entire place was PACKED, all tables full, nowhere to even stand. There were people still waiting that had been there since 5:30pm. No one had food. They were working as quickly as possible but they were totally overwhelmed. There were at least 15 orders ahead of me, I just had to leave. It was too packed for me to wait in the crowd I returned at 8:30pm to ask for a refund but they had my order so I took it. Even tho it was cold, it was super delicious. I honestly can't wait to get food here on a non-holiday. I'm giving this place a 5 star because the food was excellent, the staff was extremely dedicated to getting everyone their orders, and I know this isn't a typical night for them I'm so sorry to the staff that worked 12/31/25 - you guys are awesome

Online ordering was turned off. It took about 45 minutes to reach the register. I've already enjoyed the Korean fried chicken at their Nashua NH location, so I decided to order something different. Besides Korean fried chicken, they also offer other Korean dishes, bowls, noodles, fried rice, sandwiches, fries, snacks, and Korean donuts. I ordered a Soy Garlic Mopo Corn Dog ($4.99 plus tax) and a Japchae ($15.99 plus tax) for takeout. The order was ready to go in 15 minutes. The Korean Corn Dog had a mozzarella cheese & hot dog center, coated with golden crunchy potato cubes and a spicy mayo for dipping. The Japchae dish had soft glass noodles, carrots, onions, spinach, red peppers, mushrooms and bulgogi stir-fried with soy garlic sauce, topped with sesame seeds. This dish had good hearty flavors. Overall, the Korean Corn dog and Japchae dish were both very good. I would come back to this Gold Star Blvd location once the newness wears off. For the time being, I'll continue to stop at the Lowell or Nashua Bonchon locations.
