Had an amazing experience with my server Nathan he went above and beyond to please his tables workers outta take his lead this is one of the best dining experiences I've had!

The service here was okay. Our server was nice, but not as attentive as I am used to. For our table of 6, when we ran out of water we had to ask for more. The burger was an okay basic burger. Mine came with avocado, but I feel as though the avocado wasn't the freshest, as it was brown. And there wasn't much on the burger itself. I ordered the fried cinnamon bread for dessert with ice cream. The picture had an actual scoop, but they give out soft serve. The other people in my group seemed to like their food. I would come back if others in my group wanted to come back.

a plate of food and a fork

Hello, I am sorry to inform you but I stole one of your amazing big forks. I didn't mean to! But here we are. I was called a sinner for stealing this special fork but I promise you I will bring it back next time I visit! Other than that, the food was grand. 5/5

Nothing OVERwhelmingly bad or good about this place. The vibe is casual and the service is average. I recommend trying your burger or sandwich on the pretzel roll. Other than that, I sadly don't have a lot more to say. =/

Love the popcorn they serve with unending love. Hate the fact they serve a Caesar salad with bacon bits and black olives on it. Bar area was bit of a mess, but the bartender knew her customers and kept servers' drinks coming - and quickly. Just like Applebee's, you can't give The Ground Round more than 3 stars, because if you do, something's wrong with your culinary tastes. Went here, though, because this was always the best of the "American" chain restaurants in Bismarck. Still is.

Service could have been better. Our server never checked to see if everything was okay which it was not. Other than that the food was good.

I met a friend here to relax, have a burger, a couple beers and watch football. The food and service here is always good.

the food me and my family got was flavorless. and the waitress only paid attention to one table rather than all her tables.

They weren't overly busy for a Friday night, and we only waited a few minutes for a table. Right after being seated, they brought out fresh-popped popcorn, which the kids immediately devoured. We also tried the giant pretzel and cheese curds. Both were tasty, though not particularly memorable. The pretzel cheese definitely seemed canned, while the curds appeared homemade--but both appetizers felt a bit overpriced for what you get ($14 for cheese curds seems steep, though maybe that's just the area). Burgers seem to be the star of the menu, with lots of options to choose from. Two of the kids ordered burgers and said they were cooked perfectly. Another ordered the Minnesota Bowl, which was unique but a little underwhelming. The menu describes walleye on wild rice, but it's actually served on white rice with just a sprinkling of wild rice--worth noting for anyone watching their glycemic index. I ordered the walleye tacos, which were quite good. The fresh slaw and special sauce balanced out the spice from the blackening seasoning nicely. Overall: Service was attentive and friendly--our server kept our waters and popcorn filled throughout the meal. The drink menu looked fun, and I'd definitely come back to try one of those and explore more of the menu next time.

The hostess mentioned it was taco tuesday. I didn't see anything on the menu about tacos so I looked up their website where it's listed. I ordered birria beef tacos and was surprised by what I received. Not sure if this is common to this area or a Lucky's interpretation: cheese is melted onto the outside of a flour shell, birria meat is placed mid-shell w/crema over top. It was tasty. Just very confusing because that isn't what I think of when I think Taco. Overtired and very confused and our waiter really handled it so well. Aside from my taco turmoil my Caeser salad was very tasty and fresh. My dining companion had a half Reuben and chili. The Reuben also was different from our accustomed 'build'. Shredded meat was mixed with dressing (vs thin sliced with saurkraut on top and thousand island dressing as a condiment). We are so far away from home we have no idea is this the ND way? Or the chef's interpretation? No worries. This is a knife and fork sandwich for sure. The chili is topped with Frito cornchips and cheese melted over all. A filling meal. This is a family friendly restaurant with a huge bar and a fun vibe. TV's all around and a few slot games in the bar. There is an actual changing table in the ladies room for diapering. Private parking lot.

I had a very upsetting experience at Broadway Grill that I feel others -- especially those with…read morefood allergies or celiac disease -- should be aware of. This happened a while back, but it bothered me so much I still think about it, so I decided to finally write a review. I ordered a gluten-free pasta dish and clearly informed the waitress that I am gluten intolerant (celiac). When the dish was brought out, I noticed a single regular noodle sitting right in the middle of the pasta. It was visibly different from the gluten-free noodles. Thankfully, I spotted it before taking a bite. Cross-contamination is a serious issue for people with celiac disease, and even one noodle can make us very sick. I asked for the dish to be taken back and explained that I was too nervous to reorder it because I didn't want to risk getting sick. Instead, I ordered a simple green side salad and specifically requested no croutons. A few bites into the salad, I found a crouton. At that point, I was extremely upset and honestly tearful. I informed the manager and explained how serious this is for me. I asked for the salad to be removed from my bill, given that it also contained gluten after I clearly requested it not to. They refused. For anyone with celiac disease or a serious gluten intolerance, this was not just an inconvenience -- it was a health risk. The repeated lack of attention to a clearly communicated medical dietary restriction, followed by the refusal to remove the contaminated item from the bill, was deeply disappointing. I hope the restaurant takes food allergies more seriously in the future and improves its kitchen practices and staff training so no one else has to go through this. Since this experience, I have never been back and would recommend others avoid going back to this restaurant.

I'm sure this place is usually much busier, but I'm happy I lucked out. The staff were so friendly and attentive from the second you walk in, with such a warm welcome by the host. The restaurant felt cozy and still had plenty of diners despite the cold. I had the beet salad with goat cheese and pecans, and the bison braised short ribs. Both were excellent. I make a similar beet dish at home, so it was nice to have something simple, comforting, and genuinely delicious -- it felt like eating at home. The beef was incredibly tender and fell apart easily with just my fork. I also had the vanilla crème brûlée for dessert. It was pretty good, but it was cold, and I usually prefer it a little warm and smoother. Not quite the cozy dessert I was hoping for. That said, they had a great dessert selection, and I'm excited to come back and try something else.

I am thinking that maybe a fondant potato would pair nicely with the bison short ribs but all in all in was a very nice experience for our anniversary. Thank you!
