Everything looks absolutely amazing! I was suggested to try the Thai basil with Tofu. It was so fresh, colorful and flavorful! Mushrooms, carrots, peppers, and basil. I asked if they had combination fried rice and the cashier gleefully said "yes", we can add pork to your fried rice" and rang me up for TWO FRIED RICE PLATES that came out to $36 - for a rice plate! I chose to just get the simple shrimp fried rice on the menu. I paid and waited - and waited. I waited over 25 minutes before I decided to cancel my order and get my money back. Even the veggie rolls were bland. But again, if I was sent to this area for business again I would come back. Even though I didn't get to dine in and eat, food was delicious as always. The ingredients are always fresh and I appreciate them having so many vegetarian options. My ride or die choice is always pineapple fried rice, popes with crunchy tofu and cashews, it's salty yet a little bit of tart and sweet from the pineapple, to some it sounds like an intimidating dish, but it's such a comfort meal. I always love their Thai tea and papaya salad, they also let you choose the spice level of any dish and you can sub the meat with any choices or tofu. It seemed to take a long time to make the food, but the inside was cozy. It's a little expensive, but probably one of the better places to eat if you're in Bismarck. It doesn't compare to authentic Thai, and the vegetables are odd and don't really go with Thai, so that was different (baby carrots rather than carrots, grape tomatoes, etc.) If you're in Bismarck, it's worth a shot. read more

Summary: food- goodish Place - cozy and welcoming. Staff - friendly and honest. Food: Thai crispy chicken - crispy for sure not too much flavor but that's why you have the dipping sauce which was an enhanced sweet sour chicken sauce. You only need a lil dip. I think when they called it "Thai" crispy chicken the Thai must have referenced the sauce. Papaya salad- flavors 80% there. It is Thai version so I have never been a fan of the sweeter version of papaya salad. There was cashew which threw me off but I didn't hate it rather it should be raw and unseasoned. Needs a bit more fish sauce and to me the green beans over powers the flavor of the dish. Next time I will ask to have it done without it. Laab chicken- just ok. It needs more ground rice powder for sure. I felt the pieces are there but have not been put together right. The texture may have played a role. The chicken pieces ranged from finely ground to a thumb size piece of chicken. This makes it hard for a single bite to have an even flavor since that big piece will lack the flavor for the portion of that size and the finely ground chicken pieces just stocked up all the flavor and makes it runny. I had a 3 mm galangal piece which makes me happy to know they used this ingredient. I love galangal. It needs to be more chopped up. Mint leaves needs to be added. Amazingly grown on the side of the restaurant was a garden and they have mint leaves there! I ordered it as laab cashier said larb. Haha he was cool. He was like that one friend is super nice and I'd feel bad to try and correct him. Sticky rice- I'm happy they have it. I recommend they put it in the rice cooker on low once they make it to keep it warm. I don't think a lot of. Customers will order this tho considering the customers that came in. Yes I people watch. Place- it really felt like home and the waiter explained that it was originally a house that they turned into a restaurant. The decor is nice too. I love the plants running up to the ceiling! I'm a plant daddy. There is outside seating to take in the great weather on a good day. Staff - I believe I saw two Asian ladies in the back and three white dudes. One dude on the stove and other two working cashier drinks and the front. Great waiters and you can tell they like working there. They were all positive and gives great suggestion so if you have a preference or needs guidance don't be afraid to ask. The cashier seem to know almost everyone that came in. Order and pay at the counter. The menu has a good variety and I opted for green curry. At $15 with chicken, I thought it was a tad pricey especially given that there weren't many vegetables in the dish. I don't think I've ever had curry, especially green, without some sort of green vegetable. This dish mostly had orange and yellow peppers. There were a slice or two of red, but that's it for peppers. There were chunks of baby carrots that weren't julienned so I felt the carrots overpowered the vegetable portion of the dish. The chicken was boiled and cubed and didn't have much flavor. The curry itself was good but overall I was a little disappointed by the small amount of vegetables. Most bites were rice and chicken. For me, it would've been better to have more vegetables and much less chicken to balance out the dish visually and with texture and flavor. The ladies next to me had a hair in their spring roll and my water glass was dirty. While the place is cute I'd probably try another Thai place before returning. read more
