    Regular size tenderloin
    Tyler M.

Classic little hole in the wall in the smallest of small towns. When I'm back in Indiana I like getting breaded tenderloins and the Grill A's is fantastic. They have the usual large ones but I went for the regular size and it was still huge. Loved the breading and seasoning for the pork. I put it right up there with the best tenderloin I've had. Very good fries as well to complement their menu of sandwiches. Small bar and about 5 or 6 tables inside so be prepared to not have much room but that's what makes it great. Always packed which tells you they have something special.

We visited right at 11:00 AM on the dot because we knew we had a party of 15 and they informed us they only had seating for 22. We truly took nearly every seat in the place and they accommodated us so well. If you come with a large group, there is not seating for large groups. People will be seated at a few tables for four and most will be sitting at the bar. We were totally fine with us as this was a birthday party and we were all walking about socializing. This is an extremely popular place. Not only where we lined up at the door at 11 AM, other people were as well and people had to be turned away. There was some outside seating which added about another six seats for people who wanted to sit outside. The food was excellent! Several people tried the tenderloin, which is what they are known for and each person loved it. You can get different types of cheese and a variety of toppings, and everyone got a tenderloin catered to their liking. The hand cut fries were absolutely my favorite. We got a 14 inch Pizza and everyone shared it and tried it and agreed the pizza was as epic as the tenderloin. This is family, friendly, no alcohol. Definitely worth the trip to Markleville. It's also worth mentioning that there is a public parking area to the south east for plenty of ample parking. In addition, there's a nice little park with a gazebo where we were all able to go sit and visit afterwards and free up seating for the restaurant.

It was a beautiful day, so the wife and I took a drive to Markleville where grill a grills was known to have the best breaded tenderloin in the state. There was about a 10 to 15 minute wait which outdoor seating was readily available. The waitresses were very friendly and nice. We even talk to the owner. This place was very clean but small it had a pretty big bar which we ended up setting at and about four or five tables. We ordered the breaded tenderloin and decided to split it. It was huge and thick and juicy with just the right amount of crunch to it. We cut it in half and realized we had to cut the halves in half and that made for the perfect sandwich when we have Some time and feel like a drive. We will definitely go back. My wife said we've eaten a lot of good tenderloins, but this has be the best, I have to agree.

Took a road trip over to try out this spot, and it definitely did not disappoint. Substantial tenderloin and deliciously fresh fries!

This is the regular tenderloin, it is at least an inch thick. Probably enough food for two people.

I love this place. I have been here two times and the food and the service is absolutely top notch. The dining area is small but they are opening the upstairs for dining soon.

Large breaded Pork Tenderloin and it melted in my mouth!!! So very tender and absolutely delicious!!

I have only eaten here once, but the Tenderloin was great. If I ever have occasion to be in Markleville again I will definitely stop here.

Tenderloins are thick and taste amazing. Very small inside with only 3 tables but clean and waitress was very friendly.

I got iced tea and it wasn't the best or the worst, I'd probably get a Coke next time. I saw them bringing out a lot of wraps to the party they were serving and since it was like 107 degrees with the heat index Mom and I decided to get the fried chicken bacon ranch wrap with onion rings. They claimed on the menu the chicken was hand breaded but I'm not sure about that. The wrap was huge and also 95% lettuce which was obviously from a bag and had a funny bagged lettuce taste. There was the smallest sprinkling of cheese, bacon and tiny chicken tender pieces. They didn't put much ranch on the wrap so that made it dryer. Luckily we asked for extra when we ordered because we like to dip our onion rings in ranch too. We really liked the onion rings. I would have said something about the wraps but our server had that large party so we didn't see her again until the end of our meal. The view was beautiful and they do offer cocktails. They have a nice outdoor covered patio with ceiling fans but Mom said it was too hot even with the fans and since she's nearly 84 I wanted her to be comfortable. We will definitely go back again but I will try something different or leave off the lettuce if I do get a wrap.

At $9-10 each why not! Blueberry Lemon Drop was good, but the Watermelon was my favorite. We also tried the caramel apple and it was good too. For dinner I got the pork tenderloin sandwich with onion rings. Both were delicious and the server said all were made in house. What I loved about the onion rings was the super thick and crunchy beer batter. We also got some sort or chicken bowl that was a lot of food. Came with chips. That's not my particular thing but the person who ordered it loved it. They make all their own dressings and believe me when I tell you the spicy ranch is spicy. I loaded my onion ring up with that ranch and I thought I was going to pass out it was so hot. I still ate it just not as much at one of time. They have plenty of seating at the bar or tables inside and a few outside tables by the street where we saw people take advantage of the nice weather and brought their dogs. They have a small stage where they have live performances, I think someone was coming last night we were just there too early. They have pull tabs for those who are gamblers. The place was really clean and staff were friendly yet busy. Parking can be tricky so be prepared to walk some during peak times.

This place has been a hit with my "21+" family due to the great food, great location, and usually good service. Minors are not allowed. Our most recent visit yesterday had less than awesome service but maybe she was having a bad day. The building is old with lots of wood paneling ... very comfy. I love the small town feel!! The restaurant vibe reflects the town. Everyone is very welcoming. I didn't catch bartenders name, but she was very friendly to everyone at her bar. She told us her favorites on the menu. I appreciated her knowledge about the restaurant and the menu. The bar area seemed a little dark, but that actually enhanced the experience of an old bar. We only sat in the bar area, I believe there is additional seating in another room, but I didn't look. I opted for a grilled tenderloin and a cup of beer cheddar jalapeño cheese soup. The sandwich's are Ala carte. The sandwich was bigger than I expected, that would have been enough for lunch. The trick with grilled tenderloin is that many times it is over cooked, so it is dry. This was cooked to perfection; cooked but still moist. The sandwich, with the "garden" was awesome. Now to the soup. I think she said they use wee Mac as the beer. The jalapeño was puréed. There was crispy bacon crumbled on top; I did not care for the bacon. The soup was odd to me as I was eating it. Because of the texture, it reminded me of corn chowder. There was a little spice/flavor from the jalapeño. What was odd to me, was it didn't wow me like I thought it would, but I kept eating it. So in the end, I think I really liked it bc I ate all of it!!! The menu is not large, but has a good variety for its size. The desserts were impressive, I just didn't have room for it. I could easily become a regular there!!

But every customer I saw here was treated like family! Most importantly - I had the best pork tenderloin sandwich I've ever had in my life. I rarely say this - but to me, Iron Kettle is a destination dining location - worth driving half an hour out of your way just to give it a try.
