Absolutely great time! Food was excuizete and the service was impeccable. My wife and I stopped here on our way from San Antonio to Dayton and for a small town in the middle of nowhere it was wonderful. One of those hallmark type movie towns. Anyhow the food was cooked perfectly, prices were very reasonable, and the portions were good. 2 floors plus outdoor seating and plenty of staff to control the situation. Parking lot is abundant and even if it weren't plenty of street parking. Service was great, our server was friendly, and quick even with the 2 floor climb ‍. Overall great experience! 10/10

Cool little gastropub in downtown Greenfield. The menu states the food is locally sourced, which I love. We had the steak tips and citrus marinated chicken both were really good and had good flavor. Our server was very friendly and gave us the suggestions on our entree and her suggestion did not disappoint. We'll be back again soon.

This is a beautiful comfortable farm to table gastropub with a nice selection of local beer and cocktails. The meat is all sourced locally from Tyner Pond Farm. Get the burgers

While in Greenfield the other night, my husband and I decided to grab a bite to eat. This restaurant was right on the corner off of Main St. They had indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated almost immediately and chose the outdoor seating since it was a warm night. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. I ordered a Sun King Wee Mac to drink, fried pickles for an appetizer, and Patty Melt with fries. The food was hot, delicious, and presented well. They had a diverse full bar menu and lots of great pub food options. There is a lot of construction off of Main St. diverting a lot of highway traffic so it was pretty noisy with semis driving by, so indoor seating might be preferred on next visit.

He was very attentive though. The problem comes in with the food. I ordered the 7 Oz filet with green beans and asparagus. Both vegetables were delicious, but they served me 10 green beans (I counted them) and 2 asparagus. We asked about bread and the waiter said their food was wholesome and will fill you up, but they had bread you could buy. So I bought the bread because the sides were too skimpy to fill us up. The bread was so bad, I mean it was terrible. For a dinner over $200 for 2 people I expected a better experience

We had never tried Carnegie's in Greenfield. However, being solid longtime fans of FOX GARDIN IN FISHERS and FORTVILLE, we were eager to try this venue, now under the Burgess umbrella of fine dining experiences. From chefs to servers to managers, they excel in the minor details that make the difference. In an old CARNEGIE LIBRARY, you enter by going down some steps to the main dining room that reflects a library theme. What you notice first is the friendly and attentive service, beginning with the hostess, to the bartender, the server, the general manager, and even the managing partner, Zach B. That is what we have come to expect from the Fox Gardin and why we traveled to Greenfield. The cocktails carry a book theme. My wife and daughter enjoyed THE BOOKED FOR DEPARTURE. I am a staunch fan of the FOXY OLD FASHION. In my opinion the "very best old fashion " to be found. My daughter chose a soup / salad combo which included amazing French Onion soup and the Chefs Choice salad with their special protein of bacon. They both loved it. I have always trusted the chef special selections at the Burgess family of dining venues. So, I selected the CHEF''S DAILY PASTA selection. Oh my god, one of most and unique and amazing flavors I have ever tasted. This lunch dish was fresh gnocchi in brown butter, sausage and butternut squash. A great big thank you to the chef for creating such an amazing bowl of flavor for a Wednesday lunch. YOU'RE THE BEST. And my ten year old granddaughter said luncheon spaghetti was very very good. She let me taste it and yes, indeed it was outstanding. Ok,Yelpers, I recommend the short trip to Greenfield for an amazing lunch at a very reasonable price while exploring unique flavors. Probably, no reservations for lunch. However, if you are looking for a dinner experience, a reservation is a must. Like any professional eatery, they accept only the number of reservations that will allow for the optimal dining experience. Carnegie's will be a Greenfield dining star for years to come.

The young woman who came out told me she only came out because they weren't busy. I told her it wasn't an issue and I was fine ordering inside. Maybe this was obvious to everyone else but if the in-car ordering wasn't available they should remove it from the menu board. It seemed odd to have customers walk in to order then have food carried out to my car, which is what happened. The patio seating is enclosed so there is seating "indoors". I think that would've been a better option. I was excited about their sourcing from Tyner Pond but don't think they do this anymore. The fries definitely did not match any description I read and I definitely was not expecting a small bag of crinkle cut fries. These are not worth ordering for $3. I ordered a double burger but a single would've been fine-it was quite large. It was good, but I wish the onion was sliced thinner- it made the whole thing difficult to hold and was just a lot of onion. The root beer is Sprecher's on tap. Overall a disappointment. I love the small town feel!! The restaurant vibe reflects the town. Everyone is very welcoming. I didn't catch bartenders name, but she was very friendly to everyone at her bar. She told us her favorites on the menu. I appreciated her knowledge about the restaurant and the menu. The bar area seemed a little dark, but that actually enhanced the experience of an old bar. We only sat in the bar area, I believe there is additional seating in another room, but I didn't look. I opted for a grilled tenderloin and a cup of beer cheddar jalapeño cheese soup. The sandwich's are Ala carte. The sandwich was bigger than I expected, that would have been enough for lunch. The trick with grilled tenderloin is that many times it is over cooked, so it is dry. This was cooked to perfection; cooked but still moist. The sandwich, with the "garden" was awesome. Now to the soup. I think she said they use wee Mac as the beer. The jalapeño was puréed. There was crispy bacon crumbled on top; I did not care for the bacon. The soup was odd to me as I was eating it. Because of the texture, it reminded me of corn chowder. There was a little spice/flavor from the jalapeño. What was odd to me, was it didn't wow me like I thought it would, but I kept eating it. So in the end, I think I really liked it bc I ate all of it!!! The menu is not large, but has a good variety for its size. The desserts were impressive, I just didn't have room for it. I could easily become a regular there!!

I don't know if they have a new meat supplier or what has happened but I get the steak salad every time because it's the perfect amount of food for me and I can get it without cheese and croutons. And I have no worries about my allergies. Plus it is normally yummy! And perfect. I have to remind them that I want the bacon though? One server said cheese was pre-mixed with the bacon and that's why they keep forgetting it? Anyway, the steak has been chewy to the point where I don't enjoy it. Gristly I actually sent the last one back. The one before that I just set half of the steak aside after I couldn't chew it. My husband thinks I need to ask for a different cut of steak because sirloin is notoriously inconsistent cuts of meat and I just need to pay an up charge for a filet or something. Anyway, I panicked about getting a bad steak salad again last week when I was there and I ordered a burger. Who can mess up a burger I thought, right? I forgot about the bun. I think they toasted it with butter so I took it off. I still got sick though. Blast it. Why can you tell a server you are Allergic to dairy and they don't understand that butter comes from a cow!!!! I'm telling you this is my girlfriend's favorite place to meet up for girl talk so go and enjoy yourself. The atmosphere is nice. The chicken dish literally tasted like an overcook plain chicken breast topped with cheap no name brand store pasta sauce. It was flavorless and super salty. Honestly, it was something a 3rd grader might make. The waitress asked how we liked the meal, which should have been obvious since we left most of it on our plates. We explained that it wasn't very good. She offered to remove the pasta from our check, which was nice. The chef came over and apologized but did not seek input - which I thought was very strange. Apologies, no pics this time - I guess we were just too thrown off by the horrible food.
