First visit was Saturday. Place was packed. We had our gr nephew with us. We ordered stuffed mushroom caps they were good have had better. My hubby got the steak sandwich my nephew had chicken tenders and ff. I ordered cheese ravioli. All the food was good waitress was very nice I think she was new?!? We anticipated it to be busy on Mother's Day. But when we got there it was not. The service was sooooo slow. We started with ice tea that had no ice and was warm. Had to request ice. Our app came out hot and was delicious!! Our main entrees were not so good. The chicken on the salad is obviously pre cooked, it was cold and tough. The waitress came by when almost done and we requested more salad dressing. Which never came. Overall not an experience we expected. read more

Second but not last visit to the Grapevine Grill! What a great place- had terrific dinner last night with family and all were happy! Restaurant was very clean and so nicely decorated- nice front desk area either move to move around! Friendly and welcoming staff, expedient service due to our plans and most of all fabulous food. We ordered fried haddock and fries which came with slaw and also choice of soup or salad- portions were huge and better than our last fish at Legals!! Our guests had burgers and salads and all were cooked perfectly with again huge portions. Can't wait for my next trip west to visit family and Grapevine. read more

I'd really like to like the grapevine because it's pretty close to where I live, unfortunately I just can't quite get there. I thought that the wait staff is great! For my first time at the restaurant I had a turkey club sandwich with fries that was fine. On another stop in I tried the salmon Santorini and that's something I'd not order again. The salmon seemed to be of the preformed frozen variety and the pasta was super overcooked. Just not a fan. read more

Seated right away, a weekday during school vacation week. Their menu....is quiet large. It took us a while to decide on what to eat because they had so much stuff. It was a little overwhelming! Service was quick and the food came out pretty quickly as well. There were a few parties also around us, but we were all spread out pretty well so the noise level was still relatively quiet. I ordered the French Onion Soup and Southwest Chicken Salad for myself. The soup was okay, personally I felt there was WAY too much cheese on it and not enough soup. The salad was huge....I'm glad I ordered a side. Though I feel that with a salad this large, a bowl would suffice better than a plate as the food kept falling off of the plate when I would attempt to mix in the dressing. Again though--personal preference! I will say, I do not remember Grapevine being as expensive as it is now. I realize everything in the world has gone up in prices and that's okay....but based on the quality of food/taste I'm not sure their prices should be as high as they are. All of this being said, there were quiet a few dishes that sounded really good on their menu. I will probably go back to try another one. read more

We were told 20-25 minute wait. After 30 minutes, we checked in with the hostess and were told we'd be seated at the table that was next availaable. Instead, another table of the same size that walked in was seated. The staff at the Grapevine are very welcoming. The service is great. We always make a reservation as it fills up fast. We get seated right away. Water is brought and drinks are ordered. They don't rush you and we order the nachos for an appetizer. When they come we order our meals. One orders the small pizza and loves bring home half of it and he's very happy, one ordered the the Buffalo Chicken Calzone and it was stuffed and excellent. Two ordered the Gorgonzola and Steak Tips flatbread. Excellent but the flatbread is actually a pita stuffed. Drinks free refills for the teens, good choice of beers on tap and mixed drinks were really refreshing. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoy themselves and the bar was packed. The owner made sure to come around and asked how the food was and if everything was good. It's casual and relaxing. Very inviting. read more

Food was disappointing. The in house menu was different from the online menu. I was hoping to order a lamb meat gyro, but they only offered a chicken or beef gyro. The taziki sauce seems far from home made and had no flavor. Burped it up the rest of the night. Service was awesome. Bartender was very attentive. I would have left 3 stars, but the cook who came out of the kitchen and harassed me was completely inappropriate!! We dine out frequently, you can see my many Yelp reviews are almost always good...but this guy and this experience was off the rails! First let me go back and start with some positives, the staff at the front desk and our server were both super friendly and very good at their jobs. The drink I ordered (lemon drop martini) was very good, and reasonably priced. For appetizers our table ordered two French onion soups, clam chowder, and mozzarella sticks. I didn't try the mozzarella but they looked crispy and delicious. The soups were very good. For entrees, we ordered a Killer Fish sandwich, Mediterranean Chicken, chicken parmesan, and turkey panini with artichoke spread. The red sauce is on the sweeter side, I'm guessing it may be a Greek recipe and not Italian? I don't know, I wouldn't order anything with the red sauce after tasting it, it wasn't horrible... I just prefer an Italian style marinara. The fish was previously frozen. Would never order the fish again...however I live on the CT shoreline so I'm used to places with fresh fish, and it's my own fault for not asking first before ordering it. The Mediterranean chicken was a very generous portion and it looked good but I didn't try it. The ONLY issue with food that I had here was that I did not like my turkey panini. It was a processed turkey breast that was on the wet side. So when the processed turkey was heated in the panini press it got a little slimy in texture. I DID NOT fault the restaurant for that, I did not ask for it to be removed from my bill, but when the waitress asked me if everything was ok I replied that I didn't like the sandwich because of the turkey being wet and the texture making me feel it was slimy. I told her I wouldn't be eating it but asked if she could suggest something quick and easy to make so I can order something else. She pointed out to stay away from grinders and pizza because it would take longer but anything else she'd have out quickly. I ordered the Killer fish sandwich. Again, didn't ask her to remove the panini from my bill...and didn't say I wouldn't pay for it or wanted to "exchange it" for something else...just said she could take it away (besides I had eaten half the fries already). So, when the cook came out from the back a minute later asking our table who had the turkey sandwich they didn't like I was confused. He had two slices of Turkey on a plate that he shoved in my face and said "there is nothing wrong with the turkey, I sliced it myself this morning it is fresh, here see this, this is the same turkey, try it". I had to say no several times, I told him it's fine that you sliced it yourself this morning but I still don't like the texture wet like that on my panini and I don't want to try it again. He was so irritated as though I had accused him of serving me rotten turkey or had asked the server to remove it from my bill or something, it was bizarre. He was in my face and completely inappropriate making a scene in a half-full restaurant. The rest of the food would have gotten a solid 3, or 3.5 if they had an option for that... but unfortunately this guy was a complete jerk and gave me a hard time for not liking the texture of the turkey and ordering something else!! Horrid customer service right there- I will share my experience with others and not return solely because of him. And it's too bad for them, because our bill was $127 for 4 people for a late lunch (3.30pm) and my family lives locally so it may have been included in our rotation again if not for this. Clarification: although I never mentioned it again to the server and never asked for her to take the turkey panini off the bill, when the bill arrived it had only the $15 fish sandwich I ordered and not the panini on the bill. I wasn't expecting it, because it was me who didn't like the texture of their processed turkey, but I was more than fine with it after dealing with that jerk who came out of the kitchen. read more

Takeout order was incorrect. I didn't want to call however because the employees were so incredibly obnoxiously rude while I was there, I didn't want to deal with them again. The gaggle of girls behind the desk completely ignored me while they carried on a loud conversation amongst themselves for 5 minutes until a man came out and addressed me. My husband and I visited for the first time recently. We sat at the bar, where the bartender was very friendly and efficient. My husband had the half rack of baby back ribs and I had the chicken Marsala. The meals came with fresh green salads and delicious warm rolls, accompanied by butter and olive oil/red wine vinegar/seasoning. The food was very good and the portions were extremely generous. I got two lunches out of my leftovers! The prices are very reasonable. It is a friendly, local establishment and we chatted with some nice folks at the bar. This was our second visit in 3 weeks. The restaurant is comfortable with plenty of seating. Although I thought my sandwich on my previous visit was good, I thought it was light on some of the ingredients so I ordered something different this visit, as did my husband. We both ordered off the "specials" menu: he had the whole belly clam/fried haddock combo w/fries ($28) and I ordered the chicken stir-fry panini sandwich w/fries ($19). My husband's meal was very good and the fish portion alone would have been plenty for a meal. He said everything was very good. My sandwich was ok...very light on the chicken, but plenty of cheese. Because panini bread is on the denser side, I feel that the ingredients INSIDE need to make a statement, not just the bread. Seriously, it seemed more like a grilled cheese panini due to the lack of chicken. We also ordered onion rings (beer batter) again because they were so delicious last time. If we find ourselves there again, I'm going to skip the sandwich menu no matter how appealing they sound and try a different entree. Service was fine. read more

I am never disappointed by the meal I get from the Grapevine grill. It's a great spot to dine at with a nice bar and restaurant area and the takeout definitely does not disappoint either. Waitstaff are always polite and attentive without being overly at your table while trying to eat. They have a wide variety of options on their menu, I'll get anything from a fish meal to a meatball sub to a steak salad and it's all delicious. Sunday night wasn't expecting to wait as long as we did but restaurants so short staffed these days it was inevitable. I was very glad we waited because the food was good. Started with the Mediterranean calamari which was great. A tiny bit greasy but I loved the brininess brought by the capers. Had the Gyro pizza which was not an item I've ever ordered anywhere before. A thick greek crust with an abundance of onions, tomatoes, and gyro meat with cheese. Pleasantly surprised! The menu is huge and I'd like to go back on a day when they are not as short staffed because I feel that played a huge role in our experience. This place was recommended by a couple sitting next to me in another restaurant one evening. I popped in on Sunday afternoon and found plenty of room at the bar. I started with a avgolemono soup which turned out to be a big disappointment it was overly salted, seemed to not have the customary pureed rice in the broth although there was a lot of whole rice but there was a marked lack overall of lemon flavor. I have never seen carrots or celery in a Greek chicken lemon soup but there was plenty of chicken. Next came the 21 Cheeseburger, American cheese, sauteed onions, mushroom on a hard roll with a side of coleslaw. The burger was cooked perfectly had great flavor and the roll was outstanding. The coleslaw was very good as well. Service was fine except toward the end when I wanted the check. The lady behind the bar had her back turned and was on her phone for a considerable period of time so I had to walk around the bar to get her attention.
