Food and service were both great! Sat in the bar area bartender was very nice and attentive. Keno was a plus! Definitely recommend.

Celebrated my birthday at Via Appia with my boyfriend tonight and enjoyed every minute. The bruschetta might've been the best I've EVER had. We couldn't stop eating it and cleaned the plate in record time. My BF went the Build Your Own Pasta route and got rigatoni in marinara and meatballs. The rigatoni were impressive and he loved the sauce. I got the shrimp scampi on fettuccine and it was delectable! HUGE shrimp and a sauce that clung to the fresh made fettuccine. They make their pasta in house, which really does make all the difference. The live music was a nice touch. ALMOST gets 5 full stars but my one complaint is that their pomegranate cosmo isn't made with pomegranate juice, just pomegranate vodka which doesnt really deliver enough pomegranate flavor to differeniate it from a regular cosmo. However, no reall big deal. We will definitely be back!

It's a nice place. My family of seven came in around five o'clock after the Springfield Police Memorial service for a long dinner. Our server Chelsea had fun with us. She was on point when we had finished our dishes and we conveniently placed them where when she had an empty hand she took them off the table. She is someone who enjoys her social work and will make your time enjoyable. We ordered three orders of mozzarella and three orders of portabella Mushrooms. The cooks sent Chelsea out to verify that is what we ordered and we all chuckled and said yes. Mozzarella sticks were good, I didn't have any mushrooms but the table gave them the thumbs up. For an entree I had the lasagna which was delicious. Came in a dish straight from the oven so super hot, which was a benefit considering we wait for everyone to get their meal before digging in. Everyone raved about their meals. Chicken franchise could come with a little more sauce dressed over the chicken. As you can imagine the amount of cheese I indulged was plentiful. Too much to dip into dessert which is unfortunate.

Lunch portion of lasagna - Lasagna with melted cheese and tomato sauce is served in a white dish, garnished with herbs, on a white square plate.

My family and I stopped in for lunch this afternoon. Service was slow but I could Tell they were short staffed. The staff they had were working very hard! Unfortunately, the food was just very bland and mediocre. The price for lunch was very reasonable. We will probably stop in and try again. Hoping it was just an off day.

No rush, always asking if we needed anything and always had a smile. The ambience was relaxing, friendly and everyone seemed having a wonderful time. The food was incredible. We ordered appetizers and the Fried Calamari was done to perfection, the others enjoyed the Gorgonzola bread and the fried mozzarella. If you don't like Gorgonzola the house bread and dipping oil was perfect. The main course was just as good and it all came out hot. The Chicken Franchise was excellent with enough leftover for two more meals. All others agreed the food was delish. We splurged and ordered dessert as two of us were celebrating birthdays. Again no one was disappointed. Definitely recommend calling for reservations. Every table was occupied.

She ignored our table all while serving other larger parties who were seated after us. Their orders taken immediately and food delivered. Our waitress did not return again until the restaurant was mostly empty. Again we had to flag her down for containers and the bill! I have also come here with a small party, like tonight, and everything is well. We, party of four on a Sunday night, were seated at a table in the bar because there were no booths open. When one opened up we asked the manager who was passing by if we could swap tables and she was very accommodating. It was busier than expected, service was slow to start but we were in no rush. We ordered mozzarella balls which were ok. I had a chicken parm, had better had worse. Pasta was a little chewy. My grandma wasn't happy with her filet, tough. My grandfather felt his chicken that was his pasta was also tough. Dessert was good as well as our cups of coffee. All and all a nice place to come. I wouldn't mind trying their pizza next time I come in, just wasn't feeling it today.

My steak was overcooked and the Brussels sprouts were hard and undercooked. Our waitress was incredibly apologetic and immediately offered to have a new steak made and to take it off the bill. The manager was also so helpful and amazing in making things right. We opted for a more tapas style light dinner. With sesame crusted tuna, Cobb salad, fondue tower, and calamari 1/2&1/2. The bar was very busy and the cocktail menu seems very good. So I can definitely see this place as your after work dinner with friends place to be. But for a calm casual dinner - maybe not. Overall it is a good place. But probably not for everyone - but doesn't need to be.
