If there was a 'minus' star I would check it. BC is a relatively new Italian restaurant, after being Indian and Mexican eateries in the past. We were pre-warned by the fact that our cars were alone in the parking lot on a Friday at lunchtime, but decided to give it a try. Bottom line: The 'chef' has a nerve expecting people to pay for food prepared so poorly (see *). The very pleasant server took our orders, then returned to say that, on this Friday, they never got their fish order and had only bay scallops and salmon, so no fish & chips or baked scrod as my companions ordered. The way-past-prime lettuce in the complimentary family-style salad honesly looked to me like it was on its way to the garbage, but the chef decided instead to offer it to customers. Ice cold rolls (eventually warmed up), dry tasteless bay scallops, under-cooked sliced rosemary potatoes and a plop of ?sauteed? spinach are lunch items that could have been edible with just a little attention paid to the preparation. We had no intention of experimenting on dessert or even coffee.
*In the end, we were not charged for our meals. The server, however, earned a tip for having to make repeated apologies for issues that were not her fault. read more
