Such thin sliced weird breaded eggplant, literally couldn't tell was eggplant. Could only taste the very blah and not crispy breading/flour. So incredibly dry. Also had a Philly cheese steak that came with no cheese! The salad was ok. Spent WAY too much for meh microwaved food. Even the bread wasn't toasted on the hot grinders. I picked up a couple pies on the way home the other night- ordered a party size combo and small cheese and we had more than enough for 10 people. Found this place on Yelp and we just had to give er a whirl. On mammas instructions I ordered a large sauseeg and we dutifully brought it home to chow on seeing as how we're in the middle of this virus sh#t. The pizza was okay, we had high hopes seeing as it's a solid five star. The crust was soft and thin, not crispy at all, the pie itself was kind of bland, I dressed it up with some Texas Pete hot sauce the missus put salt and pepper on it. We thought this was right off 90 on our way back to Boston- not quite, because we're terrible at maps, but worth every minute! Pizza was excellent- perfectly flaky but soft crust on all three. Our toddlers loved the cheese pizza, the white garlic was perfect with mushroom and crispy bacon, and the combo was tasty. Abundant toppings and the pizzas are enormous- personal was around the size of what we expect from a small, and smalls were large. The rating is based on food but the service would get five stars too- we called ahead and the girl who answered was super sweet and got a table ready for us. The owner (I think) was making our toddlers giggle before we even walked through the door with funny faces through the window, and the friendliness continued while we were eating and went above and beyond what you'd expect for a hole in the wall pizza shop. read more

I met two members of the Peppo's family one evening. They suggested I try their pizza. I asked what made their pizza special. "the crust.". Tonight I ordered a small pepperoni, sausage and onion pizza. The crust was exceptional. Not to sweet or salty and a slight crunch on the bottom. There was more than enough of the good stuff like cheese and sauce, but they didn't overload the pizza with toppings. Allowing the pizza to breath while it cooked. This allows the crust to cook properly. It was perfect. They delivered my pizza HOT and faster than expected. I ate as much as I could and the other half is in my fridge for lunch tomorrow. Was working in town with a few others. We didn't feel like going out for again. Decided too stay in and get something delivered. I called to ask questions about the pizza. The person that answered the phone was very pleasant and helpful! Have to admit, I was taken by surprise. Was not expecting such customer service, it was excellent! I called back to place an order for delivery. Place my order, and when I gave the lady the address we were staying. The lady said unfortunately they don't deliver that far. Excellent and cheap York Style pizza. The large pie is gigantic, oblong and cut into squares. It fed 5 of us. If you want a pie small enough to cut into manageable triangular slices you need to go with medium or smaller. Only two tables in the restaurant, both of which were thankfully empty when we arrived on a Saturday night, but they were plenty busy with four cooks in the back handling take out orders. They use a technique i have never seen before -- instead or using cornmeal or flour to keep the raw dough from sticking to the peel, they use a something "like a bread crumb." They wouldn't tell me more about this "secret" material, other than that they make it in house. It is barely noticeable in the cooked crust but lends a little airy crunch in parts. read more

Stopped by Peppo's Pizza on our way down from skiing at Killington heading to NYC. I found this restaurant on google maps as I was searching for nearby places along the route. Based on the great reviews we decided to stop in and it was the best decision! The pizza was delicious, especially the crust. Peppo's was excellent. We had the pizza and the crust was perfect. The medium pizza was big enough to feed the three of us and have leftovers. We also ordered the meatball parm grinder to go. The bread was warm and crispy. The meatballs though were the best we ever had. Obviously made by hand and not using a mixer because they had a lighter consistency. This is mostly takeout but there are 3 tables and we ate there watching the owner greet most people by name and there were a lot of people picking up their orders. Even though we live 1.5 hours away we will definitely be going back read more

My family and I had a craving for pizza tonight but we wanted a REALLY GOOD PIZZA! I yelped as I usually do and found this place! YAY!!!! I called and ordered a half cheese, half meatball and ricotta (bc of the pic i saw here). I was automatically greeted well (on the phone) by who i think is the owner. SUCH A NICE GUY! He quoted me 25min for pickup and 25min later I came with my daughter! The owner again, greeted us warmly and was SO NICE to my daughter and myself. We've lived in Agawam for 5 years now, but we just recently started going to Peppo's. Peppo behind the counter is the nicest freakin man I've ever met-- and that alone is worth going back to. Bonus: the food is awesome. The chicken tenders are always crispy and moist on the inside, and the pizza is always delish. They do a little extra cornmeal on the bottom that gives the crust a little extra crunch! Every time we've called in for a pick up, the food is always hot and ready! Phenomenal pizza. The crust is great and has some semolina flour baked into it giving it a great texture and bite and is a little different than pizza I've had before, but definitely in a good way. The staff of this family restaurant was super friendly and accommodating. I've lived in New Jersey and New York and know great pizza. This place stands up to both. One tip is that the large pizza is a monster, and square- so not all slices will have crust. If you want a round pizza get a medium (or 2). read more
