I was passing through the area and decided to stop at Best Pizza in Indian Orchard for takeout. This storefront pizza & sub shop offers a good menu including pizza (12"-16"-24"), grinders, specialty wraps, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, gyros, salads, pasta dinners, fried seafood, chicken, and appetizers. See the menu at http://www.best-pizza.us/ I used one of the coupons on the printed menu and ordered an 18" Filet O Fish Grinder with a small bag of Lays chips and can of Pepsi, which came out to $9.09 with tax. The grinder did take about 20 minutes to be ready since they had to deep fry the fish (haddock) first, assemble the grinder, and then oven bake the grinder. While waiting, I watched part of the ball game on the small flatscreen TV in the cozy dining/waiting area. The long crispy filet o fish grinder (with lettuce, tomato, mayo, & American cheese) was not fancy, but definitely very good and worth the wait. I barely finished half of the tasty grinder before deciding to finish it up for later on. read more

I love going to Best Pizza. They are very accommodating and pleasant. The food is always fantastic and they give a lot of food. I have tried a lot of their food and I have never had something bad. Been eating grinders and pita pockets here for years which I really like never really tried the pizza until my job ordered at least 6 different flavors of pizza so I was able to try a few at once and they were overall pretty bland. The crust and cheese are tasteless on EVERY pizza and the pepperoni has no flavor to it. No spice, no vinegary kick just bland. Buffalo chicken pizza was dry as was the broccoli and chicken pizza. Incredibly mediocre. The fish in the fish and chips were preformed patties, and overcooked, the fries were flavorless and mealy, with absolutely no seasoning at all, and the burger was meh at best. We decided to give this place a try again after getting a very basic not very good grinder from them last year. We got a lasagna pizza and the toppings were nice and fresh. Tasted very good. But the dough. The dough seems to me to be frozen and not fresh. If it is fresh made, then it is a bad recipe. I could taste a flour like after taste that I have never experienced with a pizza before. And overall it just ruined anything that would have been good about this pizza if the dough would have been better. I make my own ppizza fresh and expect a pizza place with a name like Best Pizza to be at least half way decent and use FRESH INGREDIENTS. I've been a customer for a number of years, basically ordering the same thing, either a wrap, sometimes deluxe wrap or pita pocket. I ordered a pita and fries and it wound up costing more than the wrap deluxe. Makes no sense to me because a deluxe wrap adds just over a dollar to include fries. Adding fries to the pita was about $5.00. Ridiculous and I won't be patronizing anymore. I called for an explanation and was told that's just the way it is. read more
